Room smelled, bathroom sink and toilet were partially overlapping, windows were incredibly dirty and covered with spiders. Unpleasant stay.

The cleanliness was my favorite. It was so comfortable it felt like home.

Location is excellent for visiting Chicago. However…smallest rooms I have ever been in, had to get into the queen sized bed by going sideways between it and the wall. Due to COVID, ( they explained) they were short staffed, there was no linen service or bed making for the entire four nights I was there, no facecloths in the bathroom, there was no food service whatsoever, no bottled water anyplace in the hotel, no vending machines, the ice machines on the floors not hooked up. No refrigerator in the rooms for in case you brought some snacks or beverages in with you. Obviously no room service because there was no kitchen staff. Only one person at the desk, check in lines were 4 - 5 people deep at times. Felt sorry for the front desk agent. She was very nice and kept her calm, but had to keep putting phones on hold while she waited on people, I didn’t see her ever getting back to the caller. They did have a doorman, but no bellman service. I assumed their attractive rates reflected lack of demand but clearly they were reflecting lack of services; disappointing for this hotel which has had a much better reputation in the past. IMPORTANT LAST POINT Anyone from the street entering the hotel can go to elevators and straight up to the guest room floors which made me very uncomfortable from a security standpoint. Elevators to guest room floors should be key carded

It was unique better than most hotels that I’ve been in

I was really pleased with the location of the hotel, but the room was TINY for two people. When we got into our room, there were crumbs all over the chair like it’d been wiped off desk and left there. Check out was at 12 and we had housekeeping bothering us at 9:30 trying to clean our room.

When we arrived there was about a 30 minute wait to check in even though we arrived after check in. At check in they told us the price of the deposit that was going to be charged to my card yet I got a notification that they charge my card more than was stated. When we finally got to our room. It was about 15 feet from the elevator and we could hear ever notice the elevator made throughout our stay. The shower doors in our room were broken so once you got in the shower they wouldn’t close and seemed like they were going to fall on you; not to mention the wallpaper that was starting to peel off of the walls in the bathroom. This hotel does have an advantage because of the location which is right on Michigan Avenue and the lobby is nice.

The sheets had stains and the comforter was stained as well.

They charged $40 for an early check in at 2:00 pm. This is a policy that could have been waived. But they would not budge.

The staff was awesome. Great customer service. The room was very comfortable as well.

Very clean, newly remodeled from our visit last year. Bed and pillows were very comfy. Convenient and polite valet parking available in building.

There were not enough people working check in so it took a while. The elevators didn't work sometimes...

they charge my credit card for aboout US$ 300 for generical damage thay i can do during my stay, without that anyone before charge tell me!! When I asked front man in concierge explain and he promise " no effect" is only a caution.

Great location, clean room, fair price. .

The property is old and in need of a refresh. It carries with it all
