Great staff!! We also hosted a party/ get together for 25 peeps.... everything from check-in to party to check out was awesome #thompsonhotelchicago ❤️

The staff at the Thompson was friendly, welcoming, and very helpful. Our rooms provided a gorgeous view of both the city and Lake Michigan. The hotel is surrounded by a number of good restaurants and shops. The hotel's Nico Osteria restaurant serves a delicious breakfast as well. The Thompson provided the perfect stay for our first time in Chicago.

This hotel is situated in a great location. One block from Lake Michigan, a short walk to the Hancock Building and Water Tower. Great bars and eateries a few minutes away!

Great location. Wonderful restaurant. I would highly recommend this hotel.

No bathtub or coffee maker in room; narrow hallways; small lobby with many people; had to put credit card company on the phone with receptionist to get card accepted (card is paid in full monthly and had extreme credit remaining); sofa in room very uncomfortable; only two elevators, one out of service first day; room quiet; insufficient lighting in room; wifi slow; decorations nice; bed comfortable; bathroom acceptable except no tub.............back to The Drake!

Very nice hotel, staff are friendly and helpful. Verry close to everything.

Wonderful service and room. I was very pleased and would recommend staying here to my friends and family.

Loved the decor, view from the room, location of the hotel, ambiance, and the service. All staff were very friendly and welcoming! Attractive bar and really nice restaurant on site.

Hotel staff was very friendly, room was clean, nice bar with some cool drinks, elevators were fast and never an issue waiting for one (and we stayed on top floor). Location was great, several restaurants right outside the hotel and shopping extremely close. Michigan avenue is a block away and you're right on the northern end of it. Would definitey stay again, great overall stay!

My fiance and I stayed here for one night and we absolutely loved it ! It was his first time in Chicago and the view from our room was gorgeous=)the hotels location is great and close to many restaurants also the staff was so friendly and accommodating to all of our needs. We would have gladly stayed here another night.

First visit to Chicago and chose the Thompson randomly from among top rated hotels. Great choice! Staff couldn't have been nicer and I was upgraded to a penthouse suite at no extra charge. Now that's a hotel that goes the extra mile!

My boyfriend and I decided to stay here for our 3 year anniversary. The hotel was beautiful. Perfect location for our plans, beautiful lobby, friendly staff. We booked a corner king suite which was just as beautiful and modern as the rest of the hotel. The view was breathtaking. We were discussing if we were going to stay an additional night because of how much we liked the hotel. That was until we slept on that rock hard bed and pillows the were all air. My boyfriend and I woke up every hour in pain. Today, we are suffering from terrible back and neck pain. Needless the say, Thompson Hotel did not get another nights stay our of us. How could you charge 350+ dollars for a room with a bed that causes your guests pain and sleeplessness. Thanks Thompson. We cannot explore the city like we wanted to today. Instead, we are making our way home to a real bed.

Hotel is clean and comfortable. It is also very walkable (if you're a walker!) to Navy Pier and various neighborhoods. Would stay there again.

For a 2-night stay in town, this was an excellent choice -- great location, comfortable room, and hip vibe. My 9-year old daughter especially enjoyed the milk and cookies late night snack (complimentary) when we arrived.

I've stayed in Chicago a number of times, but this was my first time at the Thompson. It's definitely the best place I've stayed in the city. Convenient, modern, and wonderful staff make this hotel an amazing place to go.

very handsome, clean hotel. nice restaurant too. great friendly front door/valet staff very walkable to attractions, restaurants, etc.

Beautiful room, great bathroom with huge rain shower, everything was in impeccable condition and great wuality. Very nice personnel. The restaurant downstairs is excellent (Nico), highly recommended!

We spent four days at the Thompson. We were on the ninth floor, and the view was nice. The hotel staff was great, very attentive and responsive. The restaurant was fantastic. We love to walk, and we were able to do so to every place we wanted to visit, such as the museums, Navy Pier, etc., never walking more than about two miles or so...

The room was great, with a terrific layout and wonderful view of the city and some of Lake Michigan.

Overall, really nice boutique hotel with a great vibe. Nice change from the "corporate" hotels you end up staying at for business travel. Only thing I would critique is I wish their desks were a little bit larger - felt like an afterthought.
