The hotel is in the center of bars, restaurants, and near great shopping. The staff is friendly and helpful for the most part. The hotel is very stylish and current from the inside. Highly recommend this place to anyone.

Well maintained hotel is the perfect place to stay. Rooms are well appointed, Staff is attentive. A short walk to many fine restaurants. A few blocks from top notch shopping!

Bathroom was very inconvenient, with tiny vanity. I'd stay here again and ask for different room.

The staff were very friendly and accommodating, Everthing was perfect!

Warm and friendly staff. Brunch and lunch at Nico is a treat. The local shopping is very high end. The exercise room was very well supplied wit weights, mats and cardio equipment. No weaknesses.

From the moment we entered, all went well and better than expected. Our check-in was flawless, and we were able to get into the room early. The room was on a nice, high floor with great views of the city. Everything is modern, fun! The bar and restaurant are both very nice. The staff was super helpful. Great stay.

This is my 2n times staying at this hotel...I LOVE it...very warm, welcoming...clean - the staff couldn't be nicer - or my helpful...Great View - great amenities... Love the Restaurant within as well - Superb! And the Neighborhood - can't be beat - close to everything... Would highly recommend - and anytime I return - this will be my hotel of choice!

Great staff!! We also hosted a party/ get together for 25 peeps.... everything from check-in to party to check out was awesome #thompsonhotelchicago ❤️

The staff at the Thompson was friendly, welcoming, and very helpful. Our rooms provided a gorgeous view of both the city and Lake Michigan. The hotel is surrounded by a number of good restaurants and shops. The hotel's Nico Osteria restaurant serves a delicious breakfast as well. The Thompson provided the perfect stay for our first time in Chicago.

This hotel is situated in a great location. One block from Lake Michigan, a short walk to the Hancock Building and Water Tower. Great bars and eateries a few minutes away!

Great location. Wonderful restaurant. I would highly recommend this hotel.

No bathtub or coffee maker in room; narrow hallways; small lobby with many people; had to put credit card company on the phone with receptionist to get card accepted (card is paid in full monthly and had extreme credit remaining); sofa in room very uncomfortable; only two elevators, one out of service first day; room quiet; insufficient lighting in room; wifi slow; decorations nice; bed comfortable; bathroom acceptable except no tub.............back to The Drake!

Very nice hotel, staff are friendly and helpful. Verry close to everything.

Wonderful service and room. I was very pleased and would recommend staying here to my friends and family.

Loved the decor, view from the room, location of the hotel, ambiance, and the service. All staff were very friendly and welcoming! Attractive bar and really nice restaurant on site.

Hotel staff was very friendly, room was clean, nice bar with some cool drinks, elevators were fast and never an issue waiting for one (and we stayed on top floor). Location was great, several restaurants right outside the hotel and shopping extremely close. Michigan avenue is a block away and you're right on the northern end of it. Would definitey stay again, great overall stay!

My fiance and I stayed here for one night and we absolutely loved it ! It was his first time in Chicago and the view from our room was gorgeous=)the hotels location is great and close to many restaurants also the staff was so friendly and accommodating to all of our needs. We would have gladly stayed here another night.

First visit to Chicago and chose the Thompson randomly from among top rated hotels. Great choice! Staff couldn't have been nicer and I was upgraded to a penthouse suite at no extra charge. Now that's a hotel that goes the extra mile!

My boyfriend and I decided to stay here for our 3 year anniversary. The hotel was beautiful. Perfect location for our plans, beautiful lobby, friendly staff. We booked a corner king suite which was just as beautiful and modern as the rest of the hotel. The view was breathtaking. We were discussing if we were going to stay an additional night because of how much we liked the hotel. That was until we slept on that rock hard bed and pillows the were all air. My boyfriend and I woke up every hour in pain. Today, we are suffering from terrible back and neck pain. Needless the say, Thompson Hotel did not get another nights stay our of us. How could you charge 350+ dollars for a room with a bed that causes your guests pain and sleeplessness. Thanks Thompson. We cannot explore the city like we wanted to today. Instead, we are making our way home to a real bed.

Hotel is clean and comfortable. It is also very walkable (if you're a walker!) to Navy Pier and various neighborhoods. Would stay there again.
