The service here is always impeccable and the location is perfect. Definitely our 'home' in Chicago.

great location. very helpful and pleasant staff. rooms are very comfortable and quiet.

Housekeeping was great by trying to return an item that mistakenly was taken from the room. Great Bar at the restaurant in hotel. A bit stuffy for my taste however.

Great location, rooms were clean and the downstairs bar was fun

I really wanted to like this hotel, but it’s not that great. Maybe my expectations were too high. It’s a good hotel, but by no means a great hotel. Not sure what all the hype is about. Not worth the cost..

great location. restaurants abound. 5 minute walk to the lake. staff very personable and welcoming.

Great hotel with easy access to shopping and dining. Near the beach and other major attractions.

This was not a good stay. We were treated terribly by staff throughout our stay both by the hotel and the restaurant at the hotel with no apparent cause. The hotel rating we saw vs. our experience was very disappointing and the treatment we received from staff made the stay unpleasant and uncomfortable throughout. The ratings we found for this hotel were not accurate, at least in our experience. Otherwise, hotel was clean, reasonably quiet. The hotel is well decorated and esthetically pleasing. The fitness center is small and not very diverse in equipment, but clean and adequate. The hotel is located near Michigan Avenue, which is convenient for high end shopping and close to several restaurants. Museums, zoos and other activities in the city are more distant and typically require train or car/taxi rides. I think that this hotel has lots of potential but needs to focus on the staff/customer care and making sure that the guests are treated kindly and appropriately. We would not choose to stay at this hotel again, at any price. I also would not recommend this hotel to friends, family or others due to the poor treatment by staff and overall lack of customer service/care that we experienced during our stay. I feel that there are hotels who offer better service, comfort, location and amenities for similar or lower expense and that will treat their guests with respect and kindness. Our experience/stay at this hotel soured our trip and our overall experience in Chicago.

Excellent hotel, good location, very nice atmosphere, most adequate rooms. My suggestion is to improve business facilities, s hotel like Thompson Chicago needs a propper business center.

Very good. Bar and restaurant over crowded or I would give this hotel 5 stars

The Thompson is a trendy, sophisticated hotel, close to the Magnificent Mile, great dining and cultural attractions. The rooms are clean, comfortable and cozy and I loved the bathroom, although the rooms I have stayed in, did not have tubs, I didn't care. The fitness center on site is more than adequate for the die hard workout fanatics and Nico's, the fine dining restaurant on site, it an absolute must!

We stayed for just one night to celebrate our anniversary and upon arrival, were immediately upgraded to a lovely penthouse suite. What a nice surprise! The staff is fabulous and does everything to make your stay just wonderful. We will return again and again.

We always stay at the Thompson while in Chicago. Perfect location, love the vibe and the comfort of it and the price is very very reasonable.

The hotel is in the center of bars, restaurants, and near great shopping. The staff is friendly and helpful for the most part. The hotel is very stylish and current from the inside. Highly recommend this place to anyone.

Well maintained hotel is the perfect place to stay. Rooms are well appointed, Staff is attentive. A short walk to many fine restaurants. A few blocks from top notch shopping!

Bathroom was very inconvenient, with tiny vanity. I'd stay here again and ask for different room.

The staff were very friendly and accommodating, Everthing was perfect!

Warm and friendly staff. Brunch and lunch at Nico is a treat. The local shopping is very high end. The exercise room was very well supplied wit weights, mats and cardio equipment. No weaknesses.

From the moment we entered, all went well and better than expected. Our check-in was flawless, and we were able to get into the room early. The room was on a nice, high floor with great views of the city. Everything is modern, fun! The bar and restaurant are both very nice. The staff was super helpful. Great stay.
