I will not be staying at a Sheraton or booking travel through Orbitz again. Delta was great to work with, as was Amtrak. Terrible customer service from both the Hotel and Orbitz.
Extremely nice hotel. Close to shopping and restaurants.
Great hotel! Wonderful and sweet staff. The location is perfect! We were able to walk to everything! We bought a hop on hop off tour and they had a stop right by the hotel! Awesome and beautiful!
The only Reason it got less than 5 stars, Could not watch local Teams(Blackhawks) play on the Room TV, forced to Watch at the Bar Downstairs.
The hotel amenities and staff were terrific. Being right in the river and very close to Navy Pier as well as Michigan Avenue was so great. The hotel is in the upper level of a 2 level street. We took Uber a lot but had to message each driver we were at Sheraton and that helped avoid a lot of confusion for all involved.
Everything and everyone "worked" as expected. Staff was very friendly.
Upscale lodging in downtown Chicago. Great breakfast buffet, comfortable room with huge television, and good location for shopping the Magnificent Mile. Be careful of extras! Breakfast and wi-fi cost extra unless they are included in a package.
I have trouble sleeping if there is any noise or if the bed isn't comfortable. The Sheraton Grand room was quiet, the bed perfect, the pillows superb. The room was quite clean. My view was spectacular of the river and the city. Plenty of great things were within walking distance - shopping, eating, and entertainment. Amenities in the hotel overall are very pleasing with a nice open bar area where you can sit and talk with colleagues at tables instead of hanging out at "a bar". My check-in person was fairly unhelpful with a request: not surly, just an obstructionist. The room service guy was nice.
We got to hotel early and they actually gave us a room at 8:30'am. Bc my friend was running the marathon, they gave us club access to drinks and food which saved us tons of money and time. They also gave us access to pool and showers for post race the day of checkout bc they couldn't do late check out with so many guests checking in that day. Great staff! Comfortable beds! Very pleased overall
We had a very nice room On the 14th floor, we stayed three nights. The first night was great. The second night had one big issue a very loud party in the adjoining room to us. I reported the problem To the front desk and hotel security responded. The group was less noisy for about 10 minutes, then they opened their side of the door between our rooms and started hollering and pounding on the door, the noise problem then became a security issue and I reported it again. Hotel security responded and I could hear them all leaving the room, but within minutes the door slammed open and they again started pounding on the door between rooms. Security responded for the third time. I was told that this group had caused problems at the pool and were asked to leave the pool area, and sent to their room. I ended up making 5 calls between 10 and 2 in the morning. On the last call I talked to hotel security in the hall prior to them approaching the room and told them that this has to stop, they asked me if I wanted to change rooms, I told them it's 2 in the morning I'm not packing and moving. They need to handle this. I then listened as he talk to the group again, he told them They could go to the lobby and be as loud as they wanted but they would be kicked out of the hotel if there was another complaint. The rest of the night was good. I talked to the manager in the morning, he told me the policy is to remove any guest after three noise complaints and any security threat is immediate remo
We were able to book a very attractive room rate, which usually means one or more of the following: older room, smaller room, no view. None of the above! It looked like a standard room size, recently updated, with some view of the city and a bit of the lake. We had limited involvement with staff, but the doormen and front desk were very pleasant. It's a large hotel with a lot of activity but the hallway was quiet. I would definitely look to stay here again-perhaps splurge for a view of the Chicago River.
Had a good experience, very nice hotel, slightly uncomfortable beds
Came to Chicago to celebrate my mother's 67th birthday. Made a couple of requests and all of them were met w a smile. All staff members at this hotel are pleasant and professional. My one negative comment would be that the sauna in the pool area does not work.
Perfect place to stay to enjoy downtown Chicago. Close to everything. Outside on the Chicago river is a great place to relax & enjoy the atmosphere.
Thought the room would be better for the price. We had 4 people and the room was setup for 4.
Very pleasant stay, and a great location for food, movies/bowling nearby. Shopping is also very close and within walking distance. I would definitely stay at this hotel again!!
The stay was friendly and in holiday cheer. Great location. Amenities, decor, and ambiance are dated. Buffett breakfast was one of the worst I have had. Given location and previous reviews we expected more for the price point.
This hotel was amazing because we had a great view of navy pier and its firework display!
We stayed here and let me tell you it was a great stay for the money. Close to everything you want to do such as shopping, Navy Pier and on the river. Will definitely stay again. Hotel was very clean, safe and staff friendly.
The hotel was great, staff was great. I just stayed one night. And didn't do much but sleep and shower. Chicago is a beautiful city.
