The best part of this hotel was its proximity to the airport. It was hardly 5 minutes away from the airport. Also, it was the first hotel where they were offering complimentary water bottles. Also, there was a good variety of options for complimentary breakfast.

No food options nearby. Shuttle bus doesn’t come to Terminal 5 unless you call them so 45 minute wait plus $20 taxi ride later. Busy street and airport noise from room window.

Check in was very easy and person at desk was very friendly and helpful. The hotel and lobby was clean and comfortable. The room was a nice size. It was very clean and well appointed. Breakfast was offered nice and early for those with early flights. The options were good and the table area was clean and in good shape. The shuttle service to the airport was very nice. The driver was friendly and the shuttle runs pretty often. I’d definitely stay here again.

After a terrible experience with the airline & an unexpected overnight stay without our bags, it was refreshing to end up at this Hampton Inn after a long international flight. The hotel was affordable & had a convenient 24 hr shuttle service. When the front desk concierge found out we didn’t have our bags she put a little bag together for us with tooth brushes, tooth paste, deodorant & razors. It was much appreciated.

Quality Hotel for Overnight Layovers at O'Hare
I used the Hampton Inn Chicago-O'Hare as a layover hotel before leaving Chicago the next day. I arrived by air, but my plan was to use the Chicago blueline from the airport next day to travel downtown, and depart via Amtrak for Seattle. This worked well. The hotel provides a free shuttle through Park N' Jet, a business that also manages an offset parking facility, and has a shuttle for its customers. Breakfast is complimentary at the hotel, with good options. The one real problem with this hotel is the lack of restaurant options outside of the complimentary breakfast. This can be a problem for a traveler sans-car, such as myself. The only practical option is the Q Bar & Grill, which is co-located with a Quality Inn down the street, about a 5 minute walk. Fortunately this was an acceptable dinner option for me. The Hampton Inn was a bit pricey, but is a *way* better value option than a downtown hotel, particularly if you are just doing an overnight before departing the area by air or by rail. Overall a clean, quiet and comfortable stay.
