Hotel Lincoln

The Hotel Lincoln is one of the best affordable hotels that I've stayed in. The location across the street from the Lincoln Park Zoo makes it convenient to downtown Chicago. I loved the hotel's amenities, the room was very nice, and the front desk staff were excellent. The surprising touches: a personalized card welcoming me to the hotel was under my room door when I arrived; and the text message requesting that I simply reply if I needed anything were really cool! When I return to Chicago this summer I will be staying at the Hotel Lincoln! I highly recommend it.

Mother - daughter weekend and this was a perfect place to stay

We were in town for our daughter's wedding and upon arriving received an upgrade in rooms. We had a wonderful experience with the staff, very helpful, warm greetings each return. The unique charter of the hotel makes it fun to spend time in the restaurants and wondering the lobby. The roof top deck is the icing on the cake!! Spectacular views of Lincoln Park Zoo and Lake Michigan. We had a wonderful visit & would strongly recommend to anyone traveling to northern Chicago area.

Had a nice stay for two nights while on business at the Federal Center downtown but on the same street. It's beautifully located on Lincoln Park and the Lake with nice views. Very nice people and facilities.

We loved everything about this hotel! We got engaged here and celebrated with friends and family at the fantastic roof top bar!

Lots to do in area from exploring the park across the street to local neighborhoods.

It isn't the swankiest hotel in Chicago, but its location across from Lincoln Park and about 2.5 miles from Downtown made The Hotel Lincoln a relaxing, convenient place to call home for our stay in Chicago. The staff people were great! The Wednesday farmer's market across the street in Lincoln Park was a delightful plus.

Positives: excellent, friendly staff all around, easy check in and out, close to everything we needed to do, spectacular sunrise from our window (facing the lake), bed was comfy and firm, lobby decorated nicely for Halloween, overall very pleasant experience and would stay again Cons: bathtub drained very slowly, heavy rain caused TV to lose picture (they use Direct TV so the problem is with the provider, not the hotel)on some stations as is typical with satellite TV systems.

1.No Refrigerator and staff's reaction of this discomfort 2.Can't be 4+ star hotel 3.room is too small 4.elevator and hallway is not clean 5.no drinking water, no ice

Had a good time at the hotel but we did feel the effects of what we thought was allergies. We checked the AC units in the room, however, and they were nearly black with dirt. Aside from that, everything else was fine.

The staff at Hotel Lincoln goes out of their way to make sure that you are happy and comfortable. I have stayed at a variety of hotels over the past 30 years. During that time , I have recieved the best customer service out of any hotel I have visited from the Hotel Lincon Staff. They truly go above and beyond. We will absolutely be staying here when we visit Chicago again.

We had a fabulous stay. Enjoyed the Lincoln Park Zoo, farmer's market and running near Lake Michigan.

Location is great. Rooms are small. No fridge. Rooftop bar is cool but we couldn't check it out as it's always mobbed with young partiers. $ Front desk staff is very good. Helpful in any way you need. $60 to park is not great.

I had to make a last-minute reservation in Chicago on the north side of town. All of the regular chain hotels that I usually stay at were either full or pricey. The Hotel Lincoln had great reviews and was in a perfect location for my visit. The staff was extremely friendly and even called my room to make sure that everything was OK. There is a bus stop right across the street , and the hotel is only a few blocks from the Lincoln Park zoo. The coffee shop in the lobby was a nice surprise. My room was clean and comfortable. There is a rooftop restaurant at this hotel with amazing views of the Lakeshore in the north side of town. I would highly recommend this hotel.

Upon check in desk attendant tried to charge me again for room stating I hadn't paid yet, but I had to show her multiple times I did and my receipt. She then said "Oh I need a card again for incidentals that will have a $100 hold for a couple days" I gave her a different credit card then I had paid for the room with because I didn't want the $100 hold on my debit account. My stay was over 1 week ago now and the hold is still on there and it's for $239 not $100... frustrating and to top it off she credited my debit card the room charge and then charged the full room price to the credit card I had given her for the incidentals! I wouldn't trust them with any of my credit information and now regretting it. Also they said they had over booked my room type and gave me a free upgrade to a junior suite, which was very nice except that the bed was as hard as a rock....floor was softer. Not a great location either...wouldn't stay here again especially due to the hassle and having to deal with the check in payment details for over 20 min. Also staff not very friendly.

Worn on the edges and corners but otherwise nicely appointed. Couldn't ask for a nicer front desk staff!

Staff were friendly, our room was small but clean. Bathrooms have no counters, making it difficult to get ready

Hotel is located right next to Lincoln park and near Old Town, great location for a tourist. It's a quaint hotel with a roof top bar. I wouldn't suggest this hotel with kids. Our room was tiny. I never saw one a child in the hotel. It was filled with 20 and 30 somethings. I would stay here again at the right price but it was not a very high end hotel. If you fancy, this is not it. :)

Overall terrific. Late late checkin no problem. Only issue seemed to be locating a soft squishy pillow as I had forgotten mine. Small rooms well designed to accommodate everything. Overall a wonderful experience. Again. Not my first time staying there.

All staff extremely nice Great hotel location Very clean
