Booked the Marvelous Suite for two nights and LOVED it. Modern, sexy room with a great view of Lake Michigan. I didn't want to leave!
It's a nice hotel overall. It's not terribly kid friendly. There is a revolving door right off the main restaurant that exits right onto the highway. My son went through the door and had almost reach the road before I could catch him. People dont enter the hotel from the highway entrance but from the main entrance. I don't understand why they keep that revolving door open. They should at least warn people about it.
Great room felt safe walking to and from hotel. Overall awesome room just like the W in Atlanta
Hotel is within walking distance of many restaurants and shops which was very convenient. The room was ok however the door to the room and bathroom door did not close all the way which made it noisey at times and not very private. Would have liked to have had a coffee maker in the room however you have to call down and request one to be brought up.
It started as a work related trip, I chose this hotel fir its lication. I ended up staging one more day. I'll definitely come back and this time just for leisure. Amazing hotel, great staff
A great guest experience with every interaction with every member of the hotel staff. Thank you for helping make a great weekend.
Amazing!!! This hotel was definitely worth every penny.
Food not up to the standards of the rest of the hotel.
Front desk receptionist had an overbearing accent which was difficult to understand .
the hotel is extremely close to great shopping, food, and the water/navy pier.
This hotel is right near the action, if you want to spend time at the beach, shopping, exercising, and touring beautiful Chicago. The staff were super responsive and helpful. The room was small, but workable for a city hotel.
The views are great, the hotel is going through some work but the entire staff were very friendly
Beds were small. No coffee pot in the room. Had to pay for WIFI. Pool was great kids loved it.
Room was too small for 4 family even though we had double bed.
It was a friend and I, took a long weekend trip to Chicago for our 50th Birthday. The location was great close to the Navy Pier, parks and shopping. The staff was super helpful. We walked to almost everything we did and they gave us advise as to safe areas and were to stay away from. Even gave us waters on the hot days we were walking. The rooms were clean but we were a bit surprised that the walls had lots of nick, dime size holes and were very scuffed up. For those reasons I felt it was a bit high in price. But over all we had a great trip. Had a ton fun and will be back.
The location was great, but the property was rundown, corrdidor windows facing the pier were filfthy, the rooftop deck was closed and the soundproof in the room was inadequate.
We were in town from NJ to see the One Direction concert and decided to stay at the W because of it's location. We loved the room overlooking the water and we were still close enough to to walk to the shopping areas. We had a great time. Hotel was modern and funky!!
The W Chicago Lakeshore is truly the best hotel experience I have ever had. The hotel is stylish, trendy, busy. The location perfect for my needs. The staff were all exceptionally friendly and very helpful. I will definitely be back to stay!
