DoubleTree by Hilton Chicago - Magnificent Mile

The hotel lobby is unappealing to say the least & no where close to the photos. Additionally, the whole hotel seems a bit off OR someone is doing something very wrong; the vibe of this being an hourly hotel is beyond comprehension. The beds are uncomfortable; I prefer DT as they have comfortable bed but this was HORRIBLE & I have a back pain from the spring mattress + some rashes (bed bugs?). I am glad it was a one night trip only else I would have left the hotel to the nearest Marriott or Hyatt. Beware!

Bathtub was peeling from being painted over Bed linens seem itchy

The room and overall hotel was fine, but the bathroom needed more care. The shower did not drain properly and was not cleaned thoroughly. Other than that, was a pleasant stay

Wifi was an issue in the room but if you do step out of weeks perfectly well other than that i enjoyed my stay.

Walking distance to Navy Pier, Starbucks, grocery, breakfast. Also close to train. Ten minute Uber to Millenial Park, Grant Park, Field Museum, and Shedd. Allowed us to store luggage after checkout until departure from city. Staff very friendly, helpful Room clean, comfortable. Will be our go-to place in Chicago!

Hotel was nice. The bed was terrible very uncomfortable. Mattress felt like it was 20years old. The pillows were also very bad as well. Very flat and thin.

The hotel is comfortable enough, nothing fancy but the location is great. We were in the middle of everything.

Wonderful staff and very comfortable beds-would definitely recommend!

Drove to Chicago to visit 3 colleges and the Doubletree was perfect. Just hop onto Lakeshore Drive north or south and everything is a short drive. Tons of restaurant choices within walking distance and ample garage parking (for an additional charge). Room was big and comfortable.

I think the overall rating of this hotel is a bit high, but I'll give it 4 out of 5 stars. Great location next to lots of restaurants and bars in the River North Neighborhood. Also close to MI Ave. I've stayed at lots of 4 and 5 star hotels, and this would be more like a 3.8 star, but again, the location makes up for what the room lacks.

At check in there was a desk clerk named Ruby. She was just outstanding. Big smile, very friendly and knowledgeable. We arrived early due to arriving by train and she took it all in stride and helped us into our rooms. Rest of the staff was great also. Nice rooms, nice bar and centrally located .

Greeted by a fantastic staff. My flight actually arrived a little early and they took my contact info and sent me a text as soon as my room was made ready. Great room. Great staff. Great stay!

Just loved it will choose this hotel in the future when visiting Chicago.

This hotel was nice, great restaurant, visibly charming when walking in. However, when we exited the elevator on our floor where our room was, the floor was dirty. Walk past that, turn down the hall to our room and the carpet had a big ugly stain on it. I did mention the floor to the front desk, they told me it would be taken care of, but it never was. We stayed there 2 nights and the floor looked the same on the morning we left as it did when we arrived. The hotel was a bit farther from the Miracle Mile than I thought it would be also.

great location, and great staff. very nice stay of 7 nights, great welcoming cookie. the rooms smelled a little humid, because of the weather.

Center of downtown, easy to get around via public trans. middle of downtown, good location

Trip was great! Hotel stay was good except we were advised that a water shutdown from 9 to 12'would occur during our last stay at hotel. This was an inconvenience even after we were put on notice.

This is a nice hotel in a nice area. The ceiling over the tub was all it falling down, although there was signs of a poor patch job.

The hotel is 2 blocks off of Michigan Ave but still close enough to walk to everything or within a short ride. Staff was very nice and helpful although they disappeared late at night when we needed extra blankets. Definitely can't beat the value for a downtown hotel.

All the associates were very friendly and welcoming to guest. They always ask me if i need help and offer me a bottle water while I'm waiting for my pick up. Thank you Double Tree Magnificent Mile!
