This place was a disaster. We had a filthy room. Our bed was dirty and instead of changing the sheets, they only remade the bed. They even called and woke us in the middle of the night to tell us they had checked us out even though we had the room booked for 2 nights. I had to wake up and go show proof that we had confirmation for two night's, not just one. The entire trip booked through Orbitz was awful. We'll never stay here or use Orbitz ever again.

It’s definitely a unique place. The lobby is gorgeous and grand. The rooms are definitely not up to par. The location of the hotel is great! Lots to see and do close by.

Location was key. Hotel was kept clean. They dont carry coke products and didnt have a microwave. Other than that I was happy

I love my stay. Ver clean, comfortable and historic

Beautiful Lobby - very late 1800’s. The rest of the building is a mess. Mold in our room, chipped paint that has been painted over - looks very messy.

Heater was not adjustable and weather changed to warm weather there was no air conditioning it was under repair. They suggested opening the window

Loved the look of the place. Classy old building. Very high ceilings in our 11th floor room, maybe 10' or 11' tall.

In a pretty, historic building. Close to shopping, parks, easy transportation.

The hotel was convenient and close to the major tourist spots. the hotel lobby looked nice and new. the rooms are super old and worn down. Wallpaper in hallways were torn. wouldn’t stay here again.

Close to Art Institute and Symphony. Xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

it is good, the location, the enviroment, the staffs

Tall sealing, beautiful view, nice window shape and furniture

Unique history; didn’t like all white decor; bathroom was very nice; hard to find my room - better signage is needed, and maintenance of hall needs to be upgraded. I did feel safe; gift shop needs major upgrade!

Beautiful property and great locations. The room was soooooo spacious.

Hotel was extremely dated and not kept up well. Location is great, but it needs a major upgrade.

Great location, classy old time Chicago vibe and fantastic lake view.

The place is really big and never had an issue with elevators or accessing the room. The staff was very nice and helpful, and will always come to the room right away after I called for assistance. However, the place does not have parking space so made our parking space rental really expensive (however that is not the hotel's fault). Also I was never able to access the Wifi no matter what I did to get access to it. They only had one staff for check in and check out, which took some time. Also whenever the room was cleaned, they never gave me more coffee to make in my room. Also the cable did not work for hours at night one day which made the night a bit boring (we were sick) considering that we did not have access to Wifi either.
