We had some free-time surface in our busy season, and sought lodging in Boystown. We were elated to find availability @ The Villa ! Innkeeper Ron was immediately responsive to our request, and couldn't have been more accommodating. The place & our room was quite nice, and we CHOWED down on the lavish spread for breakfast fixins : hot and cold. Ron took special effort to sit down and visit with a couple-a tubes like us . Ron is well connected with the fabric of the neighborhood with kicky chit chat.
My friend and I spent a couple of nights in this cozy B+B in the heart of Boystown, just steps from the nightlife and yummy restaurants - terrific location and great prices. We stayed in the British Colonial Room, which had a nice queen bed and a comfy day bed for my friend. We never had to wait for the bathroom/shower. The innkeeper Ron was terrific, helpful, kind. A great weekend!
My partner stayed at the Villa Tuscana in 2014 and recommended it for our trip to Chicago. We arrived on a Sunday night and found our room comfortable and quieter than I expected. It faces the garden at the front of the inn, which leads to busy Halsted St. The inn is tastefully decorated with an elegant living area and adjacent kitchen area. The continental breakfast was good as was the coffee. Our room was upstairs and shared a bath with two other rooms. We never saw any of the other guests nor did we have any issues with access to the bathroom. Overall, it was a great experience.
I had looked into Villa Toscana before but it was completely full. Last week I lucked out. The location was convenient, the room was comfortable, the innkeeper helpful and the overall experience excellent. Definitely a place I would stay again.
Great location for Wrigley Field and Blue Man Group. Parking was a challenge, but not overly difficult. Lots of great restaurants in the area. Bed was very comfortable, but on the downside there was quite a bit of dust, especially in the bathroom and a couple burned out light bulbs. Breakfast was OK. It was a continental b'fast. One thing was missing was the interaction with the property owner over breakfast that you get some local information. Overall it was OK. I would stay here again.
First time in Chicago. Excellent location. Walking distance to Wrigley Field. Lots of great restaurants in the area. Easy cab rides to all the great spots in Chicago. Ron, the Innmaster was great. Helped us with our luggage. ONLY down side was that the rooms didn't have individual temperature controls. We live in the tropics, so we froze to death. Other than that, great experience.
Brought my wife to weekend of Dead concerts at Wrigley field. We chose this place due to its location. Everything was walkable: the concert, the lakefront, and nightlife. The neighborhood is very safe. We stayed in room 4, and LOVED it. Very small, but comfortable, private bath and tucked away in a private location. Ron the inn keeper is great. He runs a tight ship. We loved this place.
The Villa Toscana is the perfect location in Boystown. We have stayed here before and will definitely be back . Ben was great and the setting is perfect. Walking distance to greasy bars and restaurants. Lark, Chicago Diner, Scarlet, ...
We rented a queen room with private bath. Rooms are small, but tastefully done. Continental breakfast was plentiful, the courtyard and patio was very inviting. Innkeeper was very accommodating of our schedule and made sure we got to the game on time. Only a few blocks to the ball park. Beautiful old, but well kept building.
I took my sister up for the St. Patrick's Day weekend. The location being in the center of Boystown was AMAZING so we could go to all the hoppin' bars and nightclubs and walk back. A free street parking pass came with each day so it was great to park and not have to worry about hourly and daily Chicago rates. It was close to the Red and Brown line trains too so it made getting downtown a quick and simple breeze. We stayed in the room that had a bathroom attached. Small, but so is the house so you get what you pay for. Bed was fine, place was clean. Great stuff. Would definitely recommend and will visit again!
