Clean comfortable room walking distance from downtown and University of Illinois Chicago. Hotel is currently modernizing the lobby and we found reasonable parking at St Pat's for $30 overnight - 2nd time we have stayed here and will definitely be back on our next visit to the city.

Nice quiet and relaxing I really enjoyed my stay the staff is so friendly

The staff was very courteous and accommodations reflected the pride everybody exhibited for the hotel. We were very impressed by the staffs eagerness to serve and help to make our stay a great experience.

Nice hotel, staff was very friendly and accommodating

Staff and overall feel is very good. This is a hustle, bustle hotel with visitors, shoppers and theater goers coming and going. Wonderful location for us, close to shopping, restaurants, church, and family. Clean and always a lovely large floral display greets you in the lobby. Rooms are nice. May be time to switch out and update some mattresses. Best of all- the hotel bar, restaurant, and morning breakfasts are an added worth to the stay.

We booked this hotel due to it's close proximity (walking distance) to Union Station. We were pleasantly surprised with our room. Everything was clean, hotel was secure (elevator keys necessary to go upstairs), staff gave us perfect recommendations for food and getting around. We could not have asked for more.

My highlight of the stay was the awesome breakfast buffet at the connected restaurant. Orbitz description listed free parking, however they only have Valet which was $43 Good location, friendly staff

Quick and friendly check in. Lobby team would always help without trying to sell you every trip and sight Chicago had to offer - I love that. Room was great with excellent housekeeping standards. Great view from my room, little balcony too! Even though next to a freeway, no noise with door closed. It is a 10 minute walk out of city center, but great location for eateries (Greektown) and lots more - will definitely stay here again.

Staff can be overwhelmed at times. Great stay otherwise.

Nice hotel in Greek town. Decent room, updated, very quiet. Had a balcony (not used). In close proximity to Walgreens and Whole Foods, along with interstate entrance. However, I was very annoyed that this hotel had a surface lot for guests only and not only were we charged $45 for one night of parking, it was allegedly valet. We parked before realizing this because there were no attendants outside when we got there but apparently they want a valet to drive your car 12ft to a parking spot and then take your key. I can understand valet parking downtown but this was ridiculous.

This Hotel is within walking distance to Greek town, restaurants, and Old St. Pat's church. The food is quite good, and the bar area is comfy and relaxing. The staff were very helpful, and although costly, the valet service is great. The king size room was very acceptable. The bed was adequate, but options in pillows is a big suggestion area - very high and too fluffy. Overall experience is good to very good! Been there before, and will book again!

The hotel was conveniently located to the places we were visiting. The rooms were clean and staff was very pleasant. The food in the restaurant was good, and you got a lot for your money.

everything was met. i really expected a tad better. but the staff was incredible and friendly that is what makes the experience great

Easy check in, very clean and beautiful rooms with nice views from balcony. This is my favorite affordable hotel to stay at downtown.

The Plaza was a exactly what I was looking for. I needed a clean, comfortable place that was centrally located in Chicago. it was very easy to get to because it was off the highway, had plenty of parking, and was walking distance to a lot of west loop night life. The hotel itself very good. Knowledgeable and kind staff and the room was very clean.

Enjoyed location. Only fault was poor wireless signal which management handled appropriately.

Rooms are very comfortable at this hotel, and each one has an open air balcony. Front desk staff was friendly and efficient. Parking (valet) cost is a little high, at $39/night, especially since the lot is so small, and your car is never parked more than 300 feet from the lobby entrance. Great grocery store across the street from hotel, with an awesome salad bar. There's also a reasonably priced breakfast spot across the street.

Great location for the training I had to attend that week. The room was on the small size but was nice and comfortable, I enjoyed having a balcony, that was something you don't get too often in a standard room. I had a great steak at the hotel bar too, was pleasantly surprised! I'll definitely stay here again.

I had business in this area, so the location was perfect for me. The hotel is really east to get to - just exit off of I 90 and drive right in. The staff was excellent, the room was nice, and there were lots of pillows to choose from. I didn't eat here so have no insight about that. I walked the neighborhood a bit and felt safe. There are plenty of places to eat and drink w/in walking distance. I would stay here again. It is pet friendly (30 lbs. or less) but I didn't see any grass, so keep that in mind if you travel w/ a dog.

This hotel is a few blocks west of downtown Chicago. When I booked my reservation it was the cheapest hotel within 1.5 mi of downtown - it is actually .7 mi from the Loop, right on the edge of Greek Town. We got there earlier than check-in time and there were no problems getting them to hold our bags while I explored the city. Even though there was a fencing tournament going on and there were athletes from all over the world, we were not treated any differently. Complimentary internet was included in all part of the hotel including our room. In my experience, hotels have started shifting towards charging for internet in the room while still providing it for free in the common areas, so being able to use their wifi from our room was a definite plus. I'd say the only issue I found with the hotel is that it was designed so that none of their balconies have a nice view of the city. The side of the hotel that would have the nicest view has no balconies at all.
