Went to Chicago because its close and a great city. Stayed at embassy because of the breakfast, pool and a spa. I checked the website prior to leaving. When I arrived on Saturday there was a note under the door to the room. The pool and spa were closed due to upgrades. Nowhere on the website was this listed. I was very disappointed with this. I was on the 11th floor. Room was very dark, carpet had bare threads in many areas. North State street is very busy and noisy. This hotel ,while in a great location needs room upgrades better soundproofing. I feel that some compensation should be given to me because of no pool. I am a swimmer.

Great experience! food was great! friendly staff!

Great stay and good breakfast in the mezzanine. Over good but the bed could have better sheets.

We were disapointed in management when my wife ended up in the hospital and I was trying to get a room for another night they said they couldn't help us because we had made our reservations on line that's how we would have to see if there was another night available. They were not helpful at all. This was the 2nd time we stayed here and because of there lack of trying to help me, it will be my last.

Everything about our stay was great! We had to leave early due to a snow storm and Marisa and her staff helped us out tremendously. They went above and beyond for us. We will be back!

Disappointed with room. Carpet very worn and coming up at seam. Wallpaper in bathroom dirty. Bedroom sheet had marks on it. Room was very dated. Breakfast good with many choices.

There was some type of Nats flying around the room. And the Internet was really slow.

Room was outdated, stains on couch and carpet not very clean. Noise never stopped inside and outside the hotel

The hotel location is great, and I love Embassy Suites when staying with our kids for the extra room space. The hotel is in good condition and the Italian restaurant attached was wonderful. The breakfast is one of the largest offerings of any hotel with a free breakfast option, but the crowds can get very long leading to some of the items not being very hot in their serving trays. My only significant complaint however is with the pool, which we were specifically hoping to let our kids use. The pool was very cold, I'm not sure if is heated or not. And the chlorine in the hot tub overwhelmed me - burning my lungs and causing me to cough so much that we had to go back to the room.

We love having a two room suite so we can spread out a bit while travelling. We also enjoy the very nice breakfast including cooked to order items. It really helps to not have to find a local place to eat breakfast. And when it is cold out, it helps that we do not have to go outside to find something to eat. Love the mezzanine level so we can hang out, play cards, talk.

good location, friday nite reception ok too pricey

Loves this hotel!!! This is our second time staying there and it was better than the first!!! We will be back!!

We live in Chicago and were celebrating our anniversary with a stay in the downtown area. The location was great and the hotel met our expectations. We look forward to doing it again next year.

Desk staff was exceptional. Breakfast and cocktail was awesome. The location is great. The only minus is the room decor is dark.

We had a great experience at the Embassy Suites! The check in was fast and the staff was very friendly. The room was very comfortable and quiet. Breakfast was terrific with lots of choices of both hot, made to order items and also grab and go type items. The neighborhood is really great and parking is easy at the garage next to the hotel. There are lots of restaurants and bars nearby and we enjoyed sitting outside at the sidewalk bar. I will stay here again!

Hotel was in a great location for my business meetings. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Will definitely consider for a future family vacation. First time in Chicago. Would like to see better transportation options to airport (shuttle).

We love the location. Within EASY walking distance to Michigan Avenue for shopping and several other fun areas. Can walk to Navy Pier as well. Several nice restaurants very close as well as more casual. The only thing I would say needed a bit of revving up is the food at happy hour. Workout room and pool were great. We would absolutely recommend this Embassy -- in fact, already have.

This was a great place to stay and a great location. Staff was friendly and helpful and my room was fantastic.

The Embassy Suites is an ideal location for a visit to Chicago. You can walk to virtually anywhere. As usual the hotel breakfast is outstanding!

Hotel has a great location - and you can't beat the happy hour and made to order breakfast.
