It was very nice and friendly staff. Restaurant service and food was great. First room that I was checked in was small and no amenities and noisy. I asked to upgrade and change my room and it was perfect. It had everything that I needed. The only issue was that the shower space was a bit small. Other than that.. everything was good!
This was a great place to overnight. The restaurant next door was open late, looked cool, and had a good menu. It's close enough to other vars and restaurants that you can walk. You really learn what 220 sqft. looks like though. The rooms very cozy and didn't have things like a mini fridge or microwave. Props for the ceramic mugs and the organic tea!
Basic lodgings with a European feel, efficient room. The furniture was unfortunately banged up a bit, and the doors did not insulate against hallway noise very well. Moderate price, but no frills.
Great location, near the blue line El, Palmer House Hilton, Revival Food Hall (including the superb Art of Dosa), and more. The Elephant & Castle "gastropub" is connected to the lobby and a good option if you don't feel like braving the cold and going out. The water dispenser in the hallway of my floor (and every floor?) was a great touch.
It was safe, clean and comfortable. I would say it's more like a three-star hotel masquerading as a four-star hotel. Fewer amenities, but when you're not planning to spend much time in the hotel, who cares? You can tell the facility is aged, but well cared-for and up-to-date.
Everything was nice about this place other than the fact the elevator (at least on the 8th floor) has a “ding” so loud I got almost no sleep all night… every time the elevator stopped on the floor an extremely loud ding woke me up.
We stayed here and it was a 12 minute walk to Nederland theatre so that was very convenient. The staff was very friendly at check in!! I also told them it was our 16 year anniversary and later we had a sweet note and bottle of wine waiting for us!! Room was very clean. Awesome pub connected to the hotel with an awesome bartender named Ari! Overall it was a great stay, will definitely stay again!
Great service
Was treated horribly by staff. Room was smelly with stains on the carpet. Bought a king they gave us a queen because no kings were available.
This hotel was one of the worst I’ve ever stayed at. They rooms were atrocious. It was so small, there was only room for one nightstand. Which if you have 2 people is miserable. The bed itself was pushed up into the window so one person has to get in and out from the bottom if someone else is in bed. I don’t want to touch the gross curtains while I’m sleeping. The bed didn’t even have a fitted sheet. Just a sheet draped over that kept moving. The comforter was too small for the bed and there were huge orange stains everywhere on it. There was no clock. Very limited channels on the tv. No one gave the Wi-Fi code when we checked in. Now the bathroom was the worst. There was no counter space. The towels all smelled off and not fresh. There was no exhaust vert. The sink was so small you’re almost guaranteed to get water all of the floor. Lastly, THERE WERE FLIES ALL OVER THE ROOM. Fruit flies and some that were bigger. It was so gross
The staff was great! So polite, professional, and eager to help us with what we needed. Would absolutely recommend!
not as nice in person as in photos but great deal given the location
The room was really small.

We do have a renovation planned for next year to address a few things like some older furniture. We do hope you give us another chance after the update.
