Our stay at the Millennium Hotel Knickerbocker Chicago was a mixed experience. The biggest downside was check-in — the front desk associate was unpleasant, seemed completely uninterested in being there, and rushed us through the process. We had a few questions, but it felt like she didn’t want to answer them, which made for a disappointing first impression.
The room itself was clean and comfortable, and the hotel’s location is excellent — within walking distance to almost everything, which made getting around Chicago super convenient.
At checkout, we overheard that we were supposed to receive 20% off breakfast. When they also checked my VIP status, we realized the associate who checked us in hadn’t applied either benefit or mentioned them to us.
Aside from the poor customer service at the front desk, the hotel itself was perfectly fine. With better attention to guest service, this could have been a much better stay
