This hotel is in prime location. literally one block away from magnificent mile. Close to Starbucks Reserve, Zara and many others. Clean and convenient.
The room was clean and very comfortable, my only issue was that there was no bathtub in our room, and the shower did not have any nonslip grip on the bottom of it, so it was very hard to stay standing up without slipping, once you put shampoo or conditioner in your hair. Also, the glass shower doors do not shut all the way, they roll open about 3 inches. Aside from that The room was fantastic.
Room was not sound proofed
Close to Michigan Avenue. Friendly staff and good size rooms.
Very comfortable place for an overnight get away.
Very close to walkable shopping areas. Parking is attached to hotel for easy in and out access. Beds were uncomfortable. This is more of a personal preference but my back hurt after both nights we slept on them.
Front desk staff was VERY friendly and helpful at all times, top to bottom the entire time. As nice as the physical hotel was, the staff treated us, and seemingly everyone else I saw and heard, with grace and professionalism. So many other reviews of DT Chicago hotels tell a very opposite story. The floor 4 restaurant and bar was surprisingly fun and accommodating. Watched some college football with a couple drinks Saturday evening with a few guests. (Was too tired to hit Rush Street this trip.) Usually you think of a restaurant breakfast buffet being uninspiring, but the staff do a great job keeping folks happy and well fed. (Do note that we only did breakfast on a Sunday, so I don't know what other days of the week offer for breakfast.) The room was great, beds were comfortable, bathroom well decorated, view down to Pizza Uno and Pizza Due across the street inspired some good deep dish. Location couldn't be much better. Close to Michigan Ave, lots of restaurants of all levels within 3-4 blocks, Red line a couple blocks away. The workout room wasn't utilized on this trip, but a surprisingly extensive gym and a pool to inspire some workout clothes and swimsuits on the next visit. The mid-level outdoor courtyard outside the gym was a nice way to wind down the evening. Will definitely stay here again.
