The property is not worth the price that was paid, in my opinion. Even though the room had a semi-updated look, the hotel as a whole needs a facelift. Upon entry, there is the worst looking brown leather couch, as though it has been there for many decades. It is a complete eye sore. The carpeting on the way to the elevator and room has visual stains that are in need of being deep cleaned. The floor in the elevator was dirty. The lighting in the hallway is also dim and gives off an eerie feeling. As stated, the room appears updated at first glance, but looking closer, it isn’t. The furniture is outdated. Some positives were that there was a refrigerator in the room and the water gets really hot in the shower. The bathroom area was also updated/facelifted. There was a refrigerator in the shower when I arrived, but the issue was solved promptly. Cleanliness of the room in general could’ve been better. There is breakfast offered, but at a steep price of $17 for a European style buffet. Besides this, there was complimentary coffee and croissants for breakfast that were free. The best thing about this hotel is the location due to all of the things to do within walking distance, as well as the beach being nearby. All in all, I will not be staying at this hotel if I’m ever back in the city.
