Nice hotel, convenient for our stay, but $60.00 for parking in a non-downtown location is excessive.

The staff were friendly, the room was nice, the wifi was fast, and the location was convenient to our destination which was UIC.

Looked really nice online, but wasn't so great in person. Hotel is under construction, but this is advertised online, so I found out as I checked in. Construction started very early on Saturday morning which defeated the point of having a relaxing get-away with my husband. Also, I had to pay a 'valet parking' fee even though the valet attendant didn't know how to drive stick shift and I had to park my car myself. Not a big deal, but it seemed unethical to make me pay for a service that wasn't provided. The hotel bar which highly touted on the web site, closed by 10 PM on a Friday night. And finally, the front desk staff was unfriendly and seemed to have a 'take it or leave it' attitude towards the customers. This location was not at all in character with the typical Marriott experience. It had been looking forward to an evening in the city, but this was a total let down.

It's to expensive. no parking and not breakfast included and also

From the minute we arrived the staff was amazing! Super friendly and very accommodating! The rooms were great!

Workers were friendly and very helpful. Their is a shuttle bus who can take you a few places. I recommend bringing your own drinks because they are pricey at the hotel.

Not the nicest Marriott I've been in but it has convenient location and a friendly staff.

The hotel is very nice and one of the few in this area. Close to United ctr for Hawks/ Bulls games. Also a short shuttle ride to plenty of dinning in little italy area of Chicago. Only issue we had was the toilet had some serious flushing issues going on>>>>>we mentioned it to the desk clerk and he apologized, but for the hassle of it all,I would have thought he might have discounted the room rate a little. Still a nice place with a friendly staff.

Nice, quiet hotel with a very accommodating staff. They even have a shuttle that will drop you at nearby festivals, etc. Room was very clean and had modern decor. We stayed here while attending Pitchfork music festival at Union Park. The shuttle dropped us off and we actually walked back afterwards.

Not the best but was a good location to be in Chicago

Our only issue was the fact that they charge for wireless, which I know lots of hotels do, but we feel that it is taking advantage with add-ons.

A few things I liked were (in no particular order): 1. Hotel staff: friendly, helpful, caring 2. Location: Convenient for what I had to do 3. Security: a safe place to stay 4. Environment: clean, restful, pleasant Marriott once again lives up to its name and positive reputation.

Upon arrival, I found a wet soap and what appeared to be a used soap in the "new" soap box. The hotel "shuttle" was a small SUV, We waited for over an hour for a ride back to the hotel from the United Center. My sister and I who are from out of state finally walked back to the hotel alone at 11 pm in Chicago. The shuttle drove by two times with people they had picked up at random places other than the designated "pick up" place for the shuttle. The hotel staff had no response to our experience upon our return to the hotel. I would not stay there again.

Check-in was easy, staffis friendly staff, hotel is clean, location close to UIC and about 15 minutes from downtown area.

Great location in Chicago. Easy to find food and easy use of public transportation. Staff is very friendly and helpful

Excellent staff at front desk and in the cafe. Good services.

Great hotel!!! I will stay in the same hotel in future visits to Chicago

Great it had a shuttle

none

I chose the hotel due it's close proximity to the dental school. As soon as I walked in, I was greeted with an unfriendly staffer at the front desk. Apparently she was some kind of supervisor, I do not see how she ever got that position. When we walked in and informed her of our reservation she did not wait a second before telling us that our reservation was "declined", though I had booked 3 weeks prior to arrival at the hotel. When I told her that was "impossible" she headed to her manager, TWICE, and then only had the decency to say that, "it was a mistake". She did not even apologize. We were exhausted from our travel and that was the first thing she said to us? It was absurd, we were not impressed at all and made it clear that we were not!! When we went up to our room , we saw an extra bed, which they were under the impression that we had requested. We were only two people, and there was no need for a third bed. Like I said we were not impressed in the least and thus we spent most f our time out of the hotel and away from the ladt at the front desk!!! Should I go back to Chicago, there is noway I will stay at that hotel again.
