The hotel was close to Millennium Park, so it was walkable and fairly accessible. Since there are underground roads in that part of the city, our Lyft drivers always accidentally took us to the underground roads which did not have entrances to the hotel. So, the drivers would take about 3 minutes longer to get out of the underground roads and take us to the main entrance. The hotel is old, the rooms look old, not very appealing. Our room's bathroom had various hairs in different parts. Yes, hairs. Most were in the toilet and some in the tub. That's disgusting to anyone who expects a clean bathroom. The best thing about the hotel was the lobby's restaurant. It had a very good breakfast. Also, check out was very fast and easy to do.

The lady with the braids cleaning my room was helpful, warm, and polite.

Cleanliness could be better

Location

First, I paid for 2 queen beds and a lake view, on Orbitz. Got 2 doubles and a sliver of lake. Also, zero amenities. No glasses, or ice buckets, or coffee maker, or refrigerator, or water bottles or shower caps. Somehow each of these things had to do with Covid. Please. Also no room service, and the spa was closed, which it could have said in the online ads. Mostly though, it's just a few extra blocks from anything, including Starbucks and the Millennium Park, which looks closer than it is. Also, taxis are hard to get. Maybe it will all come back. Who knows.

It was beautiful and the room was great. Checking in out quick and easy

The property is very nice in a great location. Staff was exceptionally friendly and helpful. Wi-fi extra! Really? Seems out of the norm these days.

Location and quality of rooms and services. friendly staff

Room was very comfortable and clean. It was very nice!

Excellent location and views. Very attentive staff.

Staff was nice and friendly but cleanliness was lacking. We upgraded room but the shower had mold causing my wife to have an allergic reaction and coughed all night.. We never slept!!!! Never expected this and it ruined our weekend.

Compared to other Fairmont, the gold area doesn’t hold a candle. The food selection was teeny and lousy, annoyed I paid extra. The concierge was unable to help us on any restaurants. When I turned he bath on the water was bright orange! The TV did not work.

Everything about my stay there was flawless. Really enjoyed the location and very friendly staff. My room was large and exceptionally comfortable . Overall a beautifully designed property.

Location, location, location! The hotel was clean quiet and really nice

Great Location but there was mold in the bathroom shower. I informed the staff and they sent someone to clean the shower (didn't even offer me a new room)
