Great
Very nice
The new decor with nautical theme is very tacky. Particularly the draping of the original art at the front of the building. They need to rethink the new decor in the lobby. But like the hotel.
Paying Extra for Fairmont Gold was not worth it.
Everyone was super nice. The location wasn't far to walk to the Riverwalk and Navy Pier which was nice. I was there for a family wedding which had a beautiful room and the food was great. I was disappointed for the amount of money a room costs that a little refrigerator is not included. I was able to get ice though so filled up the sink to keep some beverages cold. I was also there for 2 nights and after the first night when they came in my room (which really wasn't needed) they took my 2 little glasses I had used and did not replace them.

Another great stay at our favorite hotel in Chicago. Amazing location, comfortable rooms, wonderful staff!
The bathroom smelled like mold, it had paint drips. The mirrors were dirty like someone popped pimples and they didn’t wiped it. The whole room made me feel gross cuz of it.
Roomy and clean staff are friendly.
The hotel was close to Millennium Park, so it was walkable and fairly accessible. Since there are underground roads in that part of the city, our Lyft drivers always accidentally took us to the underground roads which did not have entrances to the hotel. So, the drivers would take about 3 minutes longer to get out of the underground roads and take us to the main entrance. The hotel is old, the rooms look old, not very appealing. Our room's bathroom had various hairs in different parts. Yes, hairs. Most were in the toilet and some in the tub. That's disgusting to anyone who expects a clean bathroom. The best thing about the hotel was the lobby's restaurant. It had a very good breakfast. Also, check out was very fast and easy to do.
The lady with the braids cleaning my room was helpful, warm, and polite.
Cleanliness could be better
Location
First, I paid for 2 queen beds and a lake view, on Orbitz. Got 2 doubles and a sliver of lake. Also, zero amenities. No glasses, or ice buckets, or coffee maker, or refrigerator, or water bottles or shower caps. Somehow each of these things had to do with Covid. Please. Also no room service, and the spa was closed, which it could have said in the online ads. Mostly though, it's just a few extra blocks from anything, including Starbucks and the Millennium Park, which looks closer than it is. Also, taxis are hard to get. Maybe it will all come back. Who knows.
It was beautiful and the room was great. Checking in out quick and easy
