No early check-in/system down for 3 days - paper check in - not secure for personal/credit info by any means. No USB in rooms. Another guest given same room key following day - nice lady but all were confused. Hotel bar not in operation. Staff friendly, doorman (manager?) excellent. Excellent location for UBER - easy and fast.

Front desk staff friendly and helpful; ditto doorman and bartender. Had breakfast on Sunday at hotel restaurant and felt put off by younger server, as if he was enjoying being cute w us. Do you have any cream for the coffee? “Yes”. But we’d have to ask for some to come to the table

The staff and the room itself were great! The only two complaints that we have was that most of the outlets and the clock did not work. Then we had issues with our keycards and had to get them recoded every night. Other than that, everything was great and we do recommend staying here.
We loved our stay at the Silversmith Hotel. It was situated in the perfect location for our family of 3 (2 kids, 8 & 10 years old) to walk to all the sites and attractions we wanted to go to in Chicago! The staff was extremely helpful and kind. Thanks Ms Beverly! The room was so comfortable, clean, and elegantly styled. Nice bath products, Molton Brown made our room feel extra special. Complimentary drink tickets, recommendations and booking to attractions (Illusion Museum around the corner is a must, as is the architecture tour), walkable attractions like Theater, shopping, parks, museums, etc make this hotel ideal! I will definitely stay here again, can't say enough good things about this hotel!
location is great! right across the Millenium park and in walking distance to nearby attractions. The coffee bar is very basic though.
Hotel staff were very welcoming from the moment we arrived to checking out. We arrived well ahead of our check-in time and they were able to accommodate us by holding our luggage as we went to explore Chicago. The two employees who serviced us, one as we pulled in to the front of the hotel to store luggage and the other gentleman who checked us in, along with the young lady who serviced us for breakfast, provided excellent customer service. Though we were here just one night, so glad we decided to stay here instead of the other hotel we originally booked. Silversmith Hotel did not just provide superb customer service, but their hotel was clean, and their dining area beautiful. Highly recommend this place.
