Gorgeous facility and exceptionally helpful, kind staff. Great dining options. Loved the gym.
Love that this hotel can keep me fully engaged on a cold Chicago day!
Truly wonderful place. Historic charming perfect location. Few notable things that I think are still related to Covid. No hotel based food on Sunday. Didn't even have water or coffee in lobby. Game room is closed on Sunday. No housekeeping in rooms no mini bar not even a couple of bottles of water. No water in the lobby. This is a Hyatt so they need some work arounds. No place to buy any thing within the hotel. It felt like a ghost town on Sunday and Monday. There is no business travel now so close amenities on other days.
The HVAC is controlled by the outside temperature. Our room got to 80 degrees a couple of times and the A/C would not come on because it was only 55 outside. Bad communication on room service availability was also strange. Due to the pandemic, they don’t service rooms daily. Beautiful old building but this was all disconcerting at best.
I’ve stayed at a lot of places downtown Chicagoland- this place is magical, clean and kind. I will go back to Chicago again just to stay for longer CAA.
This was such a great place to stay. The games room was so much fun. Cindy's was a great place to just grab a drink and enjoy the atmosphere but there are better and more affordable places to eat within walking distance. The hotel was wonderful and we will be visiting again.
Beautiful property in the perfect location. Walking distance to parks, museums, theaters, river, and other attractions! Great rooms and staff. One of the reasons we chose the hotel was for the facility with the game rooms, bar, and rooftop viewing. We had two teenagers with us and they loved having a basketball court there. It was great, except they were often told they could use it because it was too late when it was only 645 pm. This was a disappointment for them and for us. But, overall a great stay.
The property has history and unique decor make it a great place to visit.
The stylish blend of sleekness and rusticism made this a very unique hotel.
Great old building-roof top and lobby bars were great place to congregate. Would be my first choice of hotels in Chicago Staff were very professional
Great location across the street from Millennium Park.
Great hotel with lots of activities & entertainment for guests, large fellowship areas & hotel is a hot spot for locals just hanging out. Rooms are very unique and great mini bars.
Some of the best hotel bars in Chicago are in this amazing facility. Room decor is masculine and unique. This is an old building, so navigating narrow hallways and slow elevators are to be expected. I am a frequent Chicago visitor, and this is my new favorite hotel.

Hello! Thank you so much for taking the time to provide feedback regarding your stay with us! I'm happy to inform you that we are now serving food 7 days a week in the Drawing Room and Game Room! Though we do have water in the room, you are correct in that we do not currently offer a minibar in the rooms - hopefully we can offer this very soon. However, coffee is provided at Fairgrounds Coffee and Tea which is also opened 7 days a week. Thank you again for rating your experience with us and we look forward to welcoming you during your return trip to the Windy City!
Thank you!
