Taking 3 elevators to get to the room was a bit much. Our toilet flooded the maintenance guy came up but housekeeping never showed up. I had to go to the front desk to get a different room then they switched us to a smaller room. I’m pretty sure no one came through to wash the carpets full of toilet water. The hotel just closed the room. Also, the room they moved us to, the toilet handle was broken too… I’m sure it’s going to fall off soon. Breakfast was good. It was just annoying when you parked your car you had to jump through three different elevators to get to your room.
Housekeeping sucked! We arrived in our room, 1314, things on the floor, earring backs, screw on the floor by the dining table, white crumbs around. Opened the closet door and the extra green blanket was rolled in a ball and thrown on the floor. In the small fridge there were two glasses of booze along with a bowl of old cauliflower and broccoli that was atarting to smell. The bottle of conditioner in the shower remained empty for the entire 3 days we stayed there. Doesn't anyone care or bother to check that things are being done as they should be? We have stayed here in the past, but it is time to look elsewhere on out next visit to Chicago. Not impressed this time!

Everybody was wonderful
I wanted to love this hotel. I’ve stayed at other Embassy Suites and enjoyed them. This hotel is in a great location and is family friendly, but it is so incredibly busy the staff can’t possibly keep up. It is worn, dirty and dated. When we arrived by cab the bellman was absent. Not that we needed help with bags, but every other hotel I’ve stayed at in Chicago I’ve always been greeted by a friendly, helpful bellman/doorman to greet and direct me. You have to take an elevator to a Sky Lobby to check in, then another elevator from there up to your rooms. Our room was ready and the check in person was friendly and helpful. We were lucky as during our four night stay I often witnessed huge lines of frustrated guests waiting to check in. We had to push through these lines to get down to ground level via the second set of elevators to venture out. At busy times in the breakfast rush in the morning and happy hour at night there were long lines waiting to access elevators to both the street and up to the rooms. Coming back from an outing we had to wait to get back up to the Sky Lobby and also up to our rooms. Pool was basic, serviceable, but small and always overcrowded. Our room was worn and several things needed repair. The size and layout were functional, but it needed a lot of attention to bring it up to date. The open atrium up to the 17th floor was impressive to look at, but made for a very loud environment always. I would never stay at this hotel again.
The design of the hotel has it open from bottom floor to top. This is loud and echoes through the building. Not a hotel issue but the kids running through the hotel is also noisy at all times through the day. Location was great soniya a trade off. If a light sleeper bring good earplugs.
Loved how central this property was to the city & how accessible it was to the things we wanted to see (mostly museums this trip). The staff were all amazing and the follow up to see how we were doing was a great touch. There's a Whole Foods across the street & a Target nearby if you forgot any essentials or need something quick.
Great place to stay! Love it
Had a excellent time . Hotel was very clean and staff was helpful . Will be coming back . Amazing amenities!!!
Loved the reception with a free drink and appetizers. Loved the free breakfast. Location is in close proximity to a variety of attractions. Suite is large.
