One arrives at the entrance off a long driveway, to an entrance gatehouse where you are separated from your car, and driven down by electric buggy to the reception building, and thence to your cabin. There is a central building, with restaurants, offices and miscellaneous facilities, which forms the spine of the resort, running down a hill towards a pool and thence onto a beautifully sandy, shallow beach. Idyllic. And then to each side of this central space, there are rooms and cabins scattered across the hillside, around a central garden / water pools / lawn that is used for weddings, parties and other functions (there seemed to be some kind of seminar on the day we arrived…) stepping down in a series of levels from the upper hillsides to the beach below. The rooms are spectacular: each separate unit is beautifully designed. The units are arranged as a stand-alone space, with a central bed, behind which is a fully glass-enclosed bathroom space. The bath has screens for visual privacy in the night, but one can’t see into them from the outside in the daylight hours ~ just basic physics !! On the side opposite the bed, the unit opens onto a balcony overlooking a forested thicket: this is the Spectacular Jungle Escape cabin, and one quite feels like in the middle of the jungle here. The property has concrete walkways connecting all the public spaces and private units, and leading down to the beach. The staff are very polite. Thank ypou.

Great property but it is still Mexico....hot water took minutes to arrive at faucets, doors with sealing issues letting in wildlife. Great food but expected more.

The service was a disaster, prices of a 5 star hotel service of 1 Star

Great property with amazing beach. Quiet and relaxing. Great food. Off the beaten path. No money exchange services or ATM on property, so bring Pesos. Overall a great place for doing nothing with family or friends.

its very expensive and they dont have breakfast incluided all services very expensive

Property was nice. After coming from an Aubereg resort we couldn't help but compare the welcome and over all preparedness of the staff.

Incredible view. Beach was nice and clean. Staff was very helpful and attentive. Food was a bit over priced however their breakfast buffet was delicious and had a variety of food and drinks. Close to the local town. if your not afraid to venture off into the town by public transportation I say do it. This will save you tons of money on food and drinks. Overall a great experience.

Great service. All the staff are very helpful and friendly. One thing is that the food and drinks are a little bit too expensive. But overall is 5 Stars

Absolutely amazing, brand new property. Very high-end and hip. Loved every minute of being there! HIGHLY recommend! I wouldn't say this hotel is very kid-friendly, however there were lots of children running around.. definitely more of an adult hotel with very few to no child amenities.

I choose this hotel for the beach, its beautiful. Paired with the cabanas with the white drapes at the W it really looks fantastic. The hotel is newer however the rooms look a bit worn. We booked a ocean view. when we checked in we received partial ocean, and we didn't complain until a couple with children were booked in the room next to us two days into our stay. It would have been fine except they were so totally loud and running all over slamming doors and screaming we asked to move rooms where they moved us to a true ocean view. The service at the hotel upon check in was good, they give you a welcome drink, and are very kind showing you the amenities. Though if you need to be picked up in a golf cart (the way you get to your car) or need something like ice... they may or may not show up. When we asked to move rooms we had to get upset before they took us seriously. We shouldn't be put in that situation. There is a nice pool with both cabanas & loungers. Yoga in the morning. The food at the hotel is good. Spice house makes really wonderful hand crafted drinks, and the ceviche bar has some really great drinks and ceviche!! There are no other obvious hotels around the W is is pretty secluded. a 5 min drive to the town of Punta Mita and 30 min from Salulita. 45 min to PV. Overall I probably wouldn't return just because of the service, but the hotel is very pretty

We will definitely be back. This W met our expectation of a 5 star resort. The service was absolutely wonderful.

The staff are so friendly and couldn't do enough to make us happy. The place is gorgeous. The Spa not so great, but the masseuse was amazing.

Hotel was beautiful and accommodating. The staff was always courteous and friendly. We enjoyed the beach access and the fact the hotel wasn't full. It made our experience wonderful.

Relaxing, quiet, beautiful, great service, great ambiance.
