How ever seems like they were remodeling, and we got a room that had some sheets that look like an old curtain, had a couple of holes on it, the pillows were so hard that it was better sleeping with no pillow.

Pros: Checking in didn't take as long as expected probably because we checked in after 5pm Room was close to shopping center Strong A/C Cons: We were in the tonina building (default for Orbitz and other online booking according to hotel staff) which was not part of the main hotel. It was a separate building next to the exit gate. 3-4 minute walk to main hotel which is not bad if you are alone but we were traveling with 3 kids (1, 2, and 5 year old) and another wheelchair dependent member which made the walk to the pools or beach a trekking course. For a $100/night we could "upgrade" to the main hotel building. We declined since that was out of budget. 7 day trip, on day 6 while showering my kid with soap the water stopped for 5 minutes and when we called they sent someone immediately to check who said they were doing some work on the pipes. he said there would be no hot water for at least one hour. All children are counted as adults for room occupancy. Coffee refills had to be requested daily and water bottles only free on day 1 (2 bottles) (30 pesos per bottle after that) Sofa bed was very uncomfortable since the mattress is old.

I don't recommend this hotel.the staff is rude and not helpful whatsoever.

Great staff great service great view from the beach really big facility

Amazing hotel. Great suite with two bedrooms two bathrooms and a kitchenette and sofa bed. Beautiful location lots of activities (most free like kayak rentals) and great food. Will stay here again.

We did the NON-Inclusive option which I would highly recommend. Everything was priced very reasonably. The location was great, as you are right on the beach. You are also close to restaurants and a market offsite within walking distance. There are lots of activities in the area and things going on at the pool during the day. The Mexican Fiesta night on Mondays is a must! This place is geared more towards families. There is not a club onsite, and most activities are done by 11 pm.

nice, relaxing vacation. not going to bash anything, just the truth. 1) Food is Average. we did not do the all-inclusive and do not regret it. we have 4 kids and went to the grocery our 1st day. got cereal, milk, lunch meat, bread. at breakfast and lunch in the room. was also nice to get out of the sun for awhile. then ate dinner out at either a hotel restaurant or nearby restaurant. i do not regret this and would have done the same thing again. 2) drinks are below average. I would have been upset if i had purchased the all-inclusive option because they were that poor. it's the liquor they use. don't expect petron or captain morgan's. it's low budget liquor. they do have jim beam but it's considered "premium". i would get liquor, beer, and frozen fixings at the store. there is a blender in the room. i had never made a pina collada in my life but the ones i made were better than the bar's. i never felt guilty by splurging and getting a few drinks each day at the bar, but drank mostly from the liquor and beer bought at the supermarket that is a short walk. 3) pool scene is great, clean, and safe for the kids. there is an adult pool that is more quiet. 4) beach is large and clean. cabanas are 1st come 1st serve. stay to the left since the area on the right is for "members only". 5) just exchange for pesos in the hotel lobby. the rate there was actually better than the bank by the grocery store. use pesos to buy groceries, dinners, etc because you'll get a better rate.

Disappointed!! Of two kid pools, one is posted as a quiet pool, so no kids. WiFi? Only in certain towers. We were two buildings from the main building & got no wifi. I called the front desk & was told my building didn't get wifi. Tried 5 times over two days to book dolphin excursion, but couldn't find someone at the activities desk or once via phone left a message and never received a call back. Check-in desk had 5 people, helping 3 families, plus one more couple ahead of me in line. Still took a FULL HOUR to get checked in. Pool "entertainment" was loud & excessive (fun in small doses) & inescapable b/c other pool off limits to families. Food was good. Room was good. Staff was nice. But, no wifi, no dolphins, stuck with a noisy pool, & slooow check in will keep me from returning.

Our family (of 4, kids 9 & 11) stayed for two nights in the Tonina building. We were on the all-inclusive plan. Although we are not property owners, we felt very pampered by the staff. This is a fairly large resort, but not so big that it's a chore to get from one place to another. The meals were good, whether in the restaurants or by the pool/beach. The waitstaff was very helpful and attentive. There are lots of activities: tennis, shuffleboard, ping-pong, boogie boards to rent, and a kid's club. This was a great place for a family with kids. If you want to party all night, maybe not such a great fit; there are enforced quiet hours after 11pm. (Which we appreciated.)

Hubby and I stayed for a week. Upgraded to an owner's suite when our requested room (queen-size bed) was not available. VERY nice. Restaurants and rooms all close together and on beach. Staff was very pleasant. All in all, a wonderful place to stay. The only negative was that the original room they were going to put us in (with 2 double beds) was on the first floor and had no windows we could see through. They were frosted glass. We would not have been happy in that room. One more good thing. We rented bikes and was told the first 2 hours were free (we had all-inclusive). When we returned them after 2hrs and 45mins, we were not charged. Very nice.

We enjoyed our week at PV resort because of the wonderful staff, clean property and a wide variety of activities offered. The Italian restaurant was very good. The daily breakfasts; amazing. The perfect beach was raked and spotless and wonderful. THe spa was clean and offered everything. We were upset at seeing the tigers in cages, otherwise it was a great family getaway - or very good for over 60's.

Check in still takes 45 min. Members get ocean front rooms or harbor views. Non members don't unless you upgrade. Not much hassle to go to a time share presentation. Vendors on beach are super nice. All you have to say is "no gracious". Food on premise is ok. Pool seemed to have lots of tanning lotion scum at the adult quiet pool. All employees are super nice.

Been here 12 times, and always had a great time. Great place for kids 7 and up. If your an older couple this would work for you also. I now bring my kids as well, always felt safe. There in a newer hospital only a mile away.

I had a good experience everything was beautiful and clean

My brother, cousin and i seriously were in awe. The resort is beautiful. The service was beyond convenient. The best part was how clean it was compared to other resorts in the area. It truly did feel like paradise. Very family friendly and also inexpensive. Definitely going back, definitely recommending to everyone.

My family trip was just wonderful. I like their shows, food, their location. They have a wonderful service from employers.

Hotel is 5 minutes walking distance to a convenience store, Starbucks and a small mall. Very safe location! Hotel was built about 20 years ago, and it shows it with the decore. Not into the the Mexican piramide and orange colors. Also bring your own pillows, the hotels are super big and hard, I asked a staff member if I could get my pillow changes and they brought me one smaller, but still hard. I overlooked this because the staff was superved!!!! All we received was top service.

The room was clean facilities is beautiful, too far away from main city attractions, you have to pay extra if you want to use the gym, if you don't have all inclusive the food is really expensive, the staff members will treat you Excellent if you speak English and see that you have dollars to tip them, I noticed it since we arrived we weren't offer complementary drinks like guest that only spoke English and we were hardly ask if we need it something when we were by the pool and why cause we are Hispanic and speak perfect Spanish sad but true. What they didn't know is that just like those other guests we had dollars too, in conclusion would I ever go back NEVER would I recommend it to friends and family NO.Check in/out waiting time is horrible
