The food was delicious! The entertainment was nightly and engaging! The staff was very friendly. Overall this place was very nice and had shops within walking distance. The only reason I’m not giving this a 5 star rating is because there isn’t a full beach access that you can lay out on daily. The property is on a waterfront, but there isn’t a beach, lots of fishing boats tho. Another thing is there aren’t any drawers/ storage is the bedrooms.

the property was beautiful, check in was a mess but not Orbitz fault...the first part of trip was through another travel agent. The second part of trip was through Orbitz, the hotel did not receive payment for the first three days, and did not combine the reservations so we could stay in same beach front walk out room which was available the first three days, and they moved us to a master suite looking over the pools and ocean. The hotel did not have hot water for three days of our stay. But we were not the only travelers that this happened to, many were told their stay was not paid?? it was a mess The staff was amazing, staying calm through this, I have no desire to go back to Playa del Carmen

Our stay was great but when we arrived we were told that I didn't have the same room booked so we upgraded which cost us a $100 a night. Apparently there is a sale in place and the data was lost so many people didn't have their reservation when they arrived. I felt sorry for the people working there because they were doing there best. Beautiful hotel and the staff was amazing. Felt like to much of my vacation was spent on checking to see where everything stood.

First of all, the booking went wrong on Expedia, we kind of accidentally booked for only 1 person, the booking process was just broken that we never noticed that there is only one person on the reservation. Later at the hotel check in, the hotel charges $140 per night in order to add another person to the room, but while we check on the Expedia website the price difference is only $30 per night, but the hotel definitely think this is good meat to have and insists on $140 per night to add one more person. Later on the second night the property had issue with hot water, the whole hotel is out of hot water and there isn’t any solution to that and there isn’t anyone can provide any details about the hot water issue. The hot water issue continues into the third day and we have to check out early. From one person working in the hotel, the hot water issue has been there for more than a week comes and goes, but wasn’t property fixed neither even communicated to guests.

Room wasn't oceanfront. No hot water in room the whole time. Multiple people complained and are still complaining. If you call, they will say it's fixed. Join Facebook page to see other guests response. To get oceanfront they wanted us to pay a few 100 more. Even though this listing clearly says oceanfront. Tried to get a partial refund but hotel said no and I don't have time to keep calling Expedia as well. The staff was very friendly. Food was decent. I do wish they would have posted more about the activities and not just by the front desk. We missed some things because we wasn't told about the activity board. That is on us though for also not asking. Afternoon party at 2pm we're awesome. I do wish they would have lasted longer or let the DJ keep going longer cause it was good. Also, the main dining restaurant, it would be nice if they could start posting upcoming meal items that they will be featuring. We also didn't realize until the last night we could have ordered extras, again that is on us. I would stay here again if there wasn't other options that I want to try. But no hot water the whole trip was a major let down.

My stay at this property was unbelievably bad. The hotel had no hot water for our entire stay, meaning we couldn’t take a normal shower or even wash up without getting severe headaches from the freezing water. Hot water is a basic requirement for any hotel, let alone one that advertises itself as a luxury adults-only property. The worst part wasn’t even the lack of hot water — it was the management’s attitude. I dealt with two on-site managers, José and Juan, and both were rude, unprofessional, and completely dismissive. Instead of offering solutions or taking responsibility, they actually made comments like: - “Cold water is good for your skin.” - “You should try showering with cold water! it’s healthier.” - “We’re giving you food and a nice pool, so maybe give us a little slack.” - “We can’t do anything else. You just have to wait.” These were their real responses to a hotel failing to provide basic hygiene necessities. No empathy, no professionalism, and no attempt to offer accommodations or compensation. As if that weren’t enough, the property claims to be adults only, yet the beach area was full of kids every day. It honestly seemed like staff were letting friends and family in through the beach access, completely undermining what guests are paying for. Overall, this was one of the worst and most mismanaged hotel experiences I’ve ever had. No hot water, staff who mock your concerns, false advertising, and zero accountability.

I canceled my reservation after check in. I try to get a shower after arrival and not found hot water. The staff said they have no hot water for more than 5 days

The hotel was clean and nice. However, we only had hot water 2 of the 6 days we were there. The food was some of the best I've had at an all-inclusive.

Didn't have hot water for entire stay and this is completely unacceptable. The front desk personnel weren't helpful and we were only told "maintenance is working it." Looking at other current reviews, this seems to be an ongoing issue that we could have been warned about. This is a shame as the hotel service staff (waiters, entertainers, etc.) were exceptional. They really went all out to take care of you. In addition, the property is conventionally located in Playa. Our only other caution is that there really isn't a beach at the property, only a very small patch of sand. I wouldn't book a stay here until they address the hot water issues.
