the staff and the food are as always wonderful. It's an older property and could use some minor plumbing repairs, it all worked well, but you can tell it's seen better days. The location is very nice and the beach one of the best to be had. We will be heading back again next year to do it all again.

No phone to call front desk, no fridge, site doesn't tell you reservations for a la carte will fill up so you want to get there early to make a res. The a la carte restaurant was italian food both times we went and was just ok, you can tell they use the same kitchen as the buffet. AC doesn't get room cold, when we first got there the room was like 23.5 degrees, they do have a sign to keep the room between 23-25 but seems like the temp is going to be what it's going to be. I thought of it too late but I'd go buy a fan for air movement in the room. We constantly had both doors open to get air moving through and make it bearable. One day it got really windy and took the curtain, broke a coffee cup so I had to go all the way downstairs to tell them, they sent up a housekeeping lady with no broom or anything and she picked up all the big pieces by hand... They do have the best swimming area I think, I walked north till the beach turned into bush(about 25mins) and south for about 30mins to check out the rest of the resorts within a decent distance. Wait staff was great, bar outside has a espresso machine and wait staff will bring you all kinds of different coffee drinks like cappuccino, lattes etc. Bring a Yeti! Not only for coffee in the morning but cold drinks all day. You can ask for all kinds of stuff that isn't on the buffet like chips, guac and pico and they get it out of the kitchen.
Great swimming area, lots of fish always around

There is great example when bad management could kill even well-established business. Do not buy “Premium Sky Top Room”, because you will not get what you paid for. We paid for 2 double beds, round furnished balcony and mini bar on the top floor. We get king bed, regular balcony and small fridge on 9 floors. Customer service (Julio) promised to switch to the right room next day. And our “journey” started. They want us check out at 11:00 with all our language and come back at 3:00pm. Needless to say – we lost one vacation day right away. We get two double beds. And that’s it! Nothing else what were listed on Expedia. Talk to representative again (twice). No result. Ask for manager. They said his name is Antonio and he will be in hotel in one hour. Waiting again! My vacation slipping away little by little. Then women (Juliette) who said that she will speak on behalf of Antonio, because main manager doesn’t speak English. Julieta promised to fix everything. And I never heard from her a word since then. We let it go and try to spend whatever left from our vacation. To be fair, most of people (cleaning, at restaurant, in Buffet, in the bar...) work really hard. Even Julio, who did not help us at all, tried hard to help. But it seems that his “hands were tied” to do thing right. He keeps sending request to management and management doesn’t respond. It seems that clerks not allowed to makes any decision.

Where to begin. This hotel claims to be a 4-star hotel, but locals laughed and said it is the oldest resort in Cozumel and certainly the worst I have ever stayed in. I would rate this a 2-star at best. Our shower had no running water; the faucet dripped nonstop. The ac sounded like a jet. Complaining to the manager resulted in maintenance entering our room and replacing the showerhead without notice, but the water still failed to run. There was no refrigerator or coffee pot in our room, and the shower doors were so rusted and disgusting that we feared tetanus. Our room had twin beds when advertised as doubles, and my feet hung off the end of the bed. There is one very small dining area for all guests, with little variety in the food. The food on the buffet is also not labelled, so it's often a mystery. Being someone with shellfish allergies, I made the mistake of consuming something that contained shellfish due to mislabelling. When we inquired about the one "à la carte", we were rudely informed that we required a reservation the morning before at 8 am sharp. The resort claimed to have activities, but there were pool tables and similar items; there was no way to play them. No nightly entertainment. Staff always acted as if it were an inconvenience and barely spoke English. Tipping did not improve services. We decided to relocate after one night because it was unacceptable. Other guests also expressed concerns, and many also relocated to another resort.

Here are the things that were wrong when we arrived: hard bed, no hot water, one of the two lamps didn’t work so it was very dark and we had only one outlet in the bedroom. Food that had no seasoning and was sometimes inedible. Things they fixed the same day we asked them to: switched out the mattresses for new ones and we had hot water by 6pm on our first full day there. The food never got any better. The made to order omelet was very good. The pizza was very good but you had to know to order it and it took about 45 minutes. The buffet was very bland and was the same every day. The website listed a lot of amenities the hotel didn’t actually have: an arcade, a pool table, a deli, a cafe. Also, we would have loved some more activities like water volleyball or aquatic aerobics. We will say that the staff was the best part of our stay. Everyone was friendly and as helpful as they could be.

The washroom looked like a locker room, there were no activities in the hotel like most all include resorts do, the pool was almost always being cleaned (could not be used), the “gym” barely had any equipments and the ones they had were in terrible conditions.
Broken doors, and not enough power outlets in the bedroom. Most things were in poor conditions.
The shower flooded at every time, and we could never tell when there would be hot water or not.

Relaxing destination for sure.. Food was ok, but just like most all inclusive resorts, i waant expecting spectacular food. The rooms are very spacious but very outdated and the ac isn't the best.
