The food was subpar, but the staff was very friendly and helpful.

The hotel room was terrible. The restroom was in bad shape. The bed was hard as a rock. The food was not great. I would not return to this hotel.

Horrible smelly old room.

This all inclusive hotel missed the mark. While most of the staff was friendly the initial check in was cold and uninformative. We were given a double bed room when we requested a king. There were rat droppings in the hallway and bedroom. Overall the property was in desperate need of a face lift. The pools were nice and the pier was a great spot to catch the sunset. Drink service was quick. But the food… oh man. It was terrible and at some points inedible. If you want a dinner reservation better be at the front desk making it at 8am or you will not get a spot. We decided to try the breakfast service the last morning and waited over an hour for waffles and bacon and ending up having to leave to catch the ferry before it arrived. I had high hopes but was disappointed at every turn. I would say spend the extra money to get something closer to down town and with more activities and a better menu.

CHECK IN IS A TERRIBLE PREOCESS. WAS THERE 2 HOURS. THE REST WAS GREAT

An old resort needing bathroom upgrades. Met guests who had been there annually for 30 years and another for 20. Only 10 min from airport. Had it not been so rainy and rough in the water would have been much better. Hard working staff were very attentive I expect to return

The staff here was exceptional.

Nice beach. Clean pools, excellent staff!

The property is too old and service and everything is terrible I don't recommend this hotel

The food had no taste, same food every day. The drinks were terrible. Even the cereal was so bad. The location has a small place to swim in beach. The mosquitos are terrible. To buy “off” spray is 15$. Not worth the the experience or money. You couldn’t even sleep in the morning due to the hitel staff making so much noise. They would wake you up at 6am 7am or 9am. Book elsewhere.

The property is really run down

We have been staying there for several years. The staff are always helpful and happy, friendly, and personable. What we noticed about the room we were staying in that we did like is the beds were comfortable( #1806) and always clean. What we did not like this year: Our sliding window needs repair! It was super hard to open and close. Put more shade on the pool decks....Umbrellas or cabanas in the old section. I really missed being able to visit the garden by the tennis court to do my yoga. I have Always used that area to do my workouts. I hope next year that it will not be closed. We didn't like the the Saltiness of the food in restaurant. I have high blood pressure and had to send back more than 1 meal! I don't like to waste food! Tell your chefs to cut the salt please! Just put salt on the table. Also vary the menu more. Add more veggies. We love every thing else about El Cozeleno!! Thanks for letting me vent! Kathi and Grant Seegraves

We have stayed at this property many times. This was our first time since covid. The resort is still doing a wonderful job of cleaning and disinfecting. Everyone there is always helpful and friendly. They use to have different theme nights and fun shows for each. That was missing this year but we figured it was due to cutbacks and such.

There was very few food options. The food was also unappealing and did not taste good

Pleasant staff Ocean front and view Very dated property Hot tub filthy Pool with significant amount of sand on the bottom Broken tiles on the pool Three people suffered cuts on their feet during a water polo game Pool towels were all worn out, they were rugs for the floor Same food offered everyday Not many to choose from Not enough activities to entertain guests For the money, this property was a let down Will never go back and will never recommend. DEFINITELY AVOID
