El Cozumeleno Beach Resort All Inclusive

3.5 out of 5.0

Recent guest reviews

Really enjoyed the view and the staff are amazing. The rooms are old and need updated. The food and service replaces the room condition in my opinion. Being directly on the beach and the seclusion of the hotel makes the trip and stay very enjoyable.

We have stayed at many different resorts in Cozumel, the El Cozumeleno was a very nice clean friendly place and the staff was great! Only complaint even though not terrible they could use some work on there food and the beds are pretty hard

The downside to this hotel... 1. The bed was uncomfortable, hard! Pillows hard as rocks made my head hurt. I did not get any rest because of the bed. 2. NOT near anything. Daily $10 dollar cab rides., that’s just one way Tip included. 3. The food was TERRIBLE/DISGUSTING!!!!

The room at the hotel was terrible furniture was old and smelly, nothing was functioning right, shower was filthy and smelly there was mold as well no to mention we woke up with bed bugs bites all over, just horrible never again!!

This was our second time staying here. We will go back! Very fun for our kids and mom and dad!

Staff was awesome Food was awesome Drinks were fair Beach was good

El Cozumeleno is in a nice quiet area right on the beach. It has been there a long time so it could use some Updates. For instance the beds and towels are old. The staff is very professional and friendly. They would make anything you wanted as far as food goes. It was slow season so the buffet wasn't out. We ate from a menu. The food was pretty good. I will go back again because the area was so nice.

Third visit to El Cozumeleño beach hotel . Staff remembered us upon arrival . Although an older hotel , it is well maintained. Room is nice with ocean view balcony . All inclusive , food and drinks are good . Staff very friendly and attentive. Snorkeling on beach is incredible . Not a party hotel , mostly families . Short taxi ride to downtown action ( $7 one way ) . $17 taxi each way to airport . Will return again .

Excellent beach view. Water was cool and gorgeous. Room was very clean but bed was uncomfortable by day 3. Staff was friendly. Awesome beach and within 10 min to downtown and ferry. Overall great experience and would recommend!!

Started bad, ended good. Our first 24 hours unfortunately was rough...we were "upgraded" to a room that resembled a dungeon (room 412). Water stains on the ceiling, a missing board, rust and various stains on the lampshade, a bathroom that was scary (dark and tiled and strange). After one night there, we paid to be actually upgraded to the newer side of the resort and had an awesome time. Drinks are STRONG! Food at the restaurant with reservations was pretty solid. Service was excellent...the staff was incredibly friendly. Also can't beat the snorkeling right off the beach! Never have I been able to step into the water and be surrounded by fish. All in all, definitely recommend with a small warning...stay on the newer side. For the money, pretty great.

Great hotel and wonderful staff. Right on the beach with great snorkeling right in front of the hotel. Rooms were nice but comfort of bed was only fair. Loved the evening meals at the "special restaurant" where you had to have reservations. Loved the daily activities including snorkeling tour, Bingo, Spanish lessons, pool, ping pong, miniature golf, kayaking, and other games. Would stay here again.

Second time staying here. The food has greatly improved. The staff as always were excellent. The only thing i had a problem with is the people around us were not tipping these great workers. Please tip when you go. It's worth it. They are appreciative. Everything was very clean. Snorkeling fabulous. Cannot wait to stay here again.

Exceptional Staff! Love it there. This was my secind time to stay here. Will definitely go back!

nice resort food was satisfactory, probably better at busy times. The AC was not sufficent in the room and Non existant in the lobby.

Great views, wonderful staff. Food could be better

Enjoyed the stay, great staff, food was good, pools and hot tub were great and beach view and gulf view was awesome, only thing birds were annoying when you were eating. Will stay again.....

This is a great hotel!! This was my second time and I would definitely come back!! The staff is wonderful and very friendly!! There is great snorkeling right in front of the hotel. Very recommended!!!

This is an older hotel, but very well maintained, friendly staff, great food, a view of the ocean on one side and a view of the golf course on the other. We have been to the hotel four times, and are planning to go back same time next year. We typically go for fourteen days, and enjoy every day. The evening entertainment is good and being all inclusive makes this hotel a great bargain. Thank you hotel Cozumeleno for another wonderful stay.

My family had a great time. The food was ok, the pools and beach areas are beautiful.

We had a wonderful time, and will definitely return to the island !
