We had such a great time in Grand Park Royal hotel. Their stuff is very friendly and especially Jessica and Juanjo butlers. They made our trio very special! We will definitely be back

Has alot of what feels like private spots. Good crowd that geos there. But mostly the staff at the hotel was awesome and the food was great.

The quality of the ingredients in the food was pretty terrible. The restaurants must be booked beforehand, which is best to do upon arrival, or they'll book up. The Asian and Italian restaurants were cute, but the food quality was almost inedible and tasted nothing like they were meant to. We recommend the Mexican restaurant only and room service breakfast. I heard the paid Steakhouse quality was also subpar. The customer service all around was terrible, and it just left a sour taste in our mouths. Unless you're a member, I'd pay more for diamond quality than coming here. There were also many families; we had to complain about all the crying and screaming one night as our neighbor's kid had tantrums at midnight. I'm unsure how they rated this place VIP when the overall quality and customer service were terrible. The only thing amazing was the adult pool, which a DJ hosted on a few nights. The fire show was excellent, and we loved that the beach was primarily private. Unlike surrounding hotels, the beach for this place was very high quality; if you hang out at the beach most of the time you're at this hotel, you'll be in good hands, or if you're primarily doing off-location travel. Hence, you're really only at this place for dinner, a show, and sleep.

The staff doesn’t miss a chance to try to sell you a membership to their hotel and after several times of the same thing it gets old so I just tried to avoid going thru lobby to avoid that confrontation. Also the fact that you must wear pants to eat dinner at their restaurant other than the buffet was inconvenient to me because I’m going to the beach so I packed summer/beach clothes. Not to say the least you also must wear a shirt with sleeves at all times in any of their restaurants no matter what time of day. The quality of the food was pretty poor and so was the service. There was only one or two times where we got a good server that was attentive.Everyday had trouble getting into my room and they told me it was bad cards so I had to go to the lobby at least once a day for replacement which was annoying. They consider themselves a luxury hotel but quite frankly I’ve stayed at 4 other hotels in the Cancun hotel zone and they are much better than Grand Park Royal so unfortunately this was my first and my last time that I will be staying at this hotel.

What my wife and i liked was the staff was very polite and tentative. Of course we did the promotional toyr and was please to take part of tour. We will definitely be back to this location and others they have to offer

Great atmosphere and beach views

I would have rated this property a step higher if it weren’t for the dinner experience on our last day. There was clearly a termite issue in the Hibachi restaurant. Termites were falling on the grill, so much so that our chef had to stop the show element and cook on the other grill away from us. There was a termite in my fried rice and dozens hovering right above my head around the lights and crawling on my placemat. I did not eat my food and checked my drink each time before sipping. On top of that, my friend who is vegan was given no vegan options even though there are some on the menu for the SAME restaurant in the non-hibachi area. It would have been so easy to accommodate her, but no effort was made. In general, the food was pretty hit and miss although the Mexican restaurant was pretty consistently good. The salmon tacos and fish and chips there were excellent. And the tiramisu at the Italian restaurant was made table side and very good. The property was very clean, the rooms are nice (although not what I’d call luxury) and for the most part the staff were lovely. It’s only about a 25 min drive from the airport and while we did not leave the resort during our stay, the surrounding area looked really cute and walkable as we drove through and I heard good things about the local nightlife from another guest. I also loved that there are huge iguanas walking around the property. The beach has soft sand and clear, aqua water.

It’s was nice property but need better staff in front office. Cooks, waiters and bartenders where great.
