Our stay at Devossion by Live Aqua was incredible. Our butler team, Martin and Guillermo, went above and beyond to help us with anything we needed. They were very friendly and checked in with us frequently to make sure we were happy. They even surprised with us champagne and chocolate covered strawberries on our last day for our honeymoon. Special shout out to Santos at the Italian restaurant as well for taking great care of us as well! Our room was beautiful with an ocean view and our very own plunge pool, waterfall shower, and soaker tub. Overall we would 10/10 recommend staying at this resort and hope we can make it back again one day!

The minibar was not restocked prior to our check-in. The closet also had someone else's clothes on the top shelf. The bed was very firm. I liked the complimentary slippers and robe. I also liked most of the staff. I'm disabled and the male staff seemed very eager to offer assistance and, I noticed that they paid close attention to the patrons. Whereas, I was ignored, at times, by the female staff who seemed to not want to be bothered. Overall, I would stay here again. But, I wish they had better on-site entertainment. Having shows in the evenings would be a nice addition.

Property was clean and quiet, staff was friendly and attentive. The negative experiences I encountered was related to food. Ordered room service one night and the food didn’t come until 2 hours later. Food arrived cold and the portions were extremely small, also forgot the drinks and condiments that were ordered. The wait times for dinner at The Grill seemed unreasonable. This appears to be the most popular dinner restaurant at the resort since it’s a steakhouse. Quoted 40 minutes but still hadn’t been seated an hour and 45 minutes later. By that point, it was 10pm and the restaurant closes at 10:30. That night we ended up having to go off property for dinner which was inconvenient since we had done excursions and wanted to stay on property for the night. Given that it’s all inclusive it would make for a better experience if they allowed dinner reservations for the sushi and steakhouse restaurants or perhaps even assigned a day and time upon check in.

Good short week at the Devossion. While they are still working out the kinks since new ownership, overall the stay was enjoyable. Rooms were clean and well maintained. Staff were super attentive and friendly. Beach is okay given it is public. We were delayed almost 2 days due to weather and our Concierge Aaron ensured we arrived safely at 4am and kept checking on us the rest of the week to ensure we were having a good time. Even got us a late checkout on departure. Food was fresh and above average. Only downsides we noted were the service was slow at the restaurants and some communication issues between staff members. Their no reservations required policy needs to change. If you don’t get to a restaurant before 6pm you could wait up to 2 hours for a table. As well, the pools are not heated so we didn’t use the swim up and only dipped in the main pool when we got hot in the sun. There is no swim up bar but the waitstaff are very good to keep food and drinks coming all day. Depending on price we will likely return. We got a great deal package with flights on Expedia but on its own I would consider the prices a bit expensive.

Service is amazing, and so are the rooms. Beds were not as comfortable as I’m used to. Food is hit and miss. Really close to 5th avenue. If you want quiet this is not the place to go, it’s on a public beach. The ocean smells like sewer, but people still swam in it.

It was fantastic and I will give a thousand percent (10 times 100%) rating. The environment and scenery was good and rooms were spacious and clean. The staffs were friendly, courteous and great. All the restaurants served great and delicious meals and the bars also had great mix of cocktails. It would be unfair not to write a review because I’ve visited several hotels but had my best experience here.

Rooms were AMAZING, so clean and spacious. Our butlers were so attentive and friendly. We spent 4 nights, and wish we could have stayed longer. Loved that every space has an interesting architecture details, the room with the swim pool out just amazing, the front view to the sea from the main areas of the hotel is just so relaxing, the room is just perfect to sleep and every detail is covered, the food is delicious. Plus the attention that we received from: Santos, Pepe, Charlie, Johnny, Santiago and sushi’s staff was perfect. We will be back soon!

Great rooms, hotel is still amazing in terms of layout, pools / beach access etc. Unfortunately the change in ownership and move to all inclusive has made this hotel less desirable. There is no app / booking system in place to support any of the restaurants, every single night there was up to a 90 minute wait to get dinner at the hotel. We gave up half way through the trip and left the hotel for food. Drinks are poor and watered down, breakfast has declined since the change too. The property and service is still incredible but the food and beverages offered all inclusive completely let it down.
