Staff was not fluent bilingually Spanish/English. Very difficult to ask about services or even get the process for getting a towel. Booked through third party service so didnt feel as if we were one of the establishments customers. Not having immediate access to pool towels was a 1st for us on a luxury vacation.

Ive been to this place before, the place is the best in playa del carmen. I always vacation at playa del carmen and ive been to these penthouses before and they will keep me coming back. Best beach best penthouses and best service. Greatly appreciate all staff that make this possible. If you are traveling with family and are looking for the most cormfortable and clean place to stay and at the center of all the action (day and night) this is where you need to book. Dont think about it just go ahead and book i promise you will not regret. Ill be back in october with my family. Everyone loves the place (kids and adults)

We enjoyed the room and the premises but boy oh boy was it noisy. The room is located right above 2 restaurants that did not stop playing music ALL NIGHT LONG. Although great music, it was impossible to sleep

Worst hotel ever

The hotel smells wet, the AC is super loud. The lighting is deemed, super understaffed. The valet and house keeper are rude, and not willing to help. The ceiling is rusted and the towels are dirty. The bedsheets were smelly too. Not recommended

Avoid the standard Jr Suite

Stayed in a standard Jr Suite Street View for one night after having stayed in one of the larger rooms with a private rooftop years ago. The standard Jr Suite was right beside the men’s washroom by the pool area and it smelled like an old dirty urinal. Very unpleasant. I would have complained if we stayed longer than one night, but since we were out most of the day we let it be. It was a very strong and noticeable smell though. Also, the side light to the bed was broken and we found a dried rose petal in our bed which worried us that the sheets hadn’t been cleaned properly between visits. The sight of handprints on the headboard of the bed also gave us gross thoughts of what may have happened with the previous guests. All in all we were disappointed by this room.

Pros: Beautiful condo, with private pool overlooking the ocean on the top. While the beach is not on the property, it is one minute walk away. Lots of room to entertain guests on the rooftop (although visiting hours end quite early). House keeping came every day and refreshed all the towels which was nice. Cons: check in process a bit cumbersome, air conditioning blows right on the bed, we had to turn it off to sleep. An extra towel rack would have been helpful to dry our beach gear.

Scam, can't call it anything else

Given this the lowest possible for this reason: As many reviewers have said, this isn't a hotel - once you book, you will get an email asking to communicate via WhatsApp Only and that the front desk will only give out keys, nothing else, so all questions must be sent to that WhatsApp... OK, so I sent them copies of our passports 3 days before check in, they confirm receipt, they day of check in we get there, fill out forms, get bracelets, keys (front desk contacts them and then we all wait for the owner to approve check in) - took a few minutes, but overall OK. WhatApp also texts me "welcome". Fine. We go to the room and it's not what the pictures here show - we booked junior suite with sofa (which I needed to sit with laptop for work, and was specifically looking for room with sofa when booking). The room had no sofa, just a tiny chair. So I send a message to the owner on that WhatApp number and... Tada... Of course no more response for two days. They send me back an answer one hour before my check out saying "yes, you booked a room with sofa". Wow, so helpful, thank you, I knew that and raised that question when I got the wrong room. I was only there for two days so I decided not to make a huge deal out of it, but for that I am writing this to caution people - - Please beware before you book here, you will have to solve your questions via a WhatApp messenger and it's up to them to respond to you or not.

A-MAZING!!! The penthouse had it all!!! Living room, dining room, full kitchen! The rooms were spacious and loved the Zen-like decorations throught the area. BUT the rooftop was even more impressing! Many sun chairs, day beds and the pool was awesome!! If you want to impress your guests, look no further!!!
