We initially booked Iberostar Paraiso del Mar and when we got there, they changed us to Iberostar Paraiso Beach which was better because it is nicer. We wanted to upgrade to Lindo because it included the waterpark and a young lady named Bere told us that we should go to a talk that they were to show us the hotel for future stays, nothing was going to be sold to us and we would get Iberobucks (hotel currency) and we could use it for the upgrade. Well that was a lie, of course they wanted to sell us a timeshares. Beware!! There are no elevators, but they are only 3 stories. Rooms need a little remodeling, furniture is a little old, the door where the mini fridge is hidden seems like it is going to break. Also the rooms did not have drawers to put clothes in. Pools are very nice, food is delicious, staff is friendly. Shows are nice. My kids loved Star Camp. They were very nice to my kids. My family enjoyed their stay very much. Its a nice hotel but not for future stays.

The neighboring room had construction going on. It smelled and was noisy. Ruined two shirts on balcony that had some sort of overspray on them.

The staff was very friendly. The only thing that I didn't like was there was no shuttle service the hotel had from the airport to the hotel.

The property was well maintain. The distance for venues and other activities were a little far but the gulf carts helped alot.

Everything was good

Yes

The property was very clean and the maintenance was very friendly.

Reception staff seems not adequate for the demand and not well trained. regarding amenities you have in rooms its stated iron, iorn board and coffee maker are in room, not true as i needed to ask for all this to be brought to the room .coffee was not replaced daily ,i need to request an specific amount and also they count how much sugar they will give me. they will not provide in room with sugar substitutes. The property has much marked difference in between hotels that are next to each other something you can't really see at time of booking. Not overall happy, the hospitality of their workers saved the place.

This resort was simply average. Our concierge proved to be unhelpful once we said no to the “free welcome breakfast” which stands for attending their sales presentation. We got the runaround while scheduling the COVID test. We were asked to come back twice and the third time we were told to go to the Iberostar Beach Lobby. Once I got upset and asked for the manager, they found someone to assist with the scheduling. The a la carte restaurants were simply below average, to the extent that we preferred the buffet over it. We enjoyed the shows and a few of the staff members were very friendly. I simply wish that we felt the same level of welcoming approach throughout the trip. There was an enormous amount of sea week on the beach. It looked as though they had just started cleaning and removing it the week we arrived. The smell from the decaying sea weed simply made the beach and surrounding areas inhabitable. The bad simply outweighed the good on this visit.

Pros: Beautiful eco-frienly grounds, love the peacocks, swans, flamingos, coati racoons roaming around freely and co-existing with humans. Colorful buildings, beautiful lobby areas. Large pool areas. Nice hotel room. Friendly staff and food servers. Free antigen test with results available immediately after test, and the certificate available by 6pm on the same day. Concierge books the dinner right after check-in. Cons: Not enough front desk staff. Check in/check out took awhile. Food is okay. Not all buffets are open. Beach area is almost non-existent and ugly because the sea weeds destroyed it, so we stayed in the pool the entire time. Covid antigen is only free if staying for at least 3 nights which is not advertised when you book the hotel. Otherwise, it's $35 pax.

Iberostar Playa Del Mar is a motel. No room service, no coffee pot in room. Now, these Iberostar properties are divided in sections. Unfortunately we stayed in the motel type rooms. I won’t make that mistake again. The grounds are gorgeous and lush; peacocks, flamingos, iguanas and another type of long tailed critter wander freely, just wonderful. The pools are expansive, lots of loungers, loved it. The staff is super nice and accommodating. I would usually call for a golf cart as sometimes they took too long or if it was raining. There’s lots of walking but it is so pleasing, just take walking shoes. The best food is in the buffet. There are so many different choices. Avoid the Mediterranean restaurant. I would have been happy to dine at the buffet for all my meals. Do all your scheduling right when you get there: Covid testing, restaurant reservations, outside activities. The beach is such a waste. Full of seaweed, did not get to enjoy it at all during my 7 day stay. All in all the gorgeous setting more than made up for any faults.

From the day that we arrived to the day that we left everything was perfect.

Well maintained property. Attentive staff and the evening shows were excellent. The meals at the a la carte restaurants were very good.

Very nice resort for the money. The staff was excellent, knowledgable and very responsive. The food was great. I would stay here again and recommend this location.

Awesome!! Such a beautiful resort, green all around, cool animals live on the resort, the staff was so kind and provided great customer service, shows every night. We will be back!! My only negative is that we stayed for a week & the keys to our room didn’t work. The concierge had to replace them 4 different times during our stay. This was annoying when we would be coming back from the beach, dinner, or excursions to be locked out. Other than that nothing negative about the resort. If you have kids look into the Star Camp @ the resort- they have shows, arts and crafts, swimming, singing and dancing. My daughter loved it.
