Beds are tiny, rooms are small. They don’t clean your room- they just change the beds and pick up trash

I’ve been to Cancun over 10 times and Iberostar was by far the worst hotel I’ve ever stayed at. The hotel is very run down and dingy. I stayed at one of the renovated rooms one night and those rooms are very poorly done and already had duct tape on lamps, shower door didn’t close properly so water leaked all over the ground. We ended up moving rooms to a better view but not renovated and it was so dirty and old. The entire room and hotel flooded when it stormed. Weird smells from the sink and toilets. They have 5 restaurants but you have to make a reservation and they are constantly booked so unless you make it 3 days ahead of time you’re stuck with the buffet that is very average. We stayed at this hotel because of a wedding and everyone was getting sick and had things stolen from their rooms from housekeeping. I would never stay here again or recommend this hotel to anyone.

The resort itself was beautiful and the staff was extremely pleasant and friendly. What I didn’t like too much was limited dinner reservations time options (because of the size of the restaurants), and the quality of the food.

Rooms in Hotel are extremely outdated. Our door was broken and it was hard to fully close it; housekeeping left it open on the day we were gone for 14 hr. All inclusive doesn’t include bar in the room. We had some beers and soda at first but was notified that they usually do not restock it. They did bring some after we called. Beach area and pools were amazing. Food at main buffet was incredible. Staff are super friendly.

*Honest Review* The rooms are disappointing, worn, bare, strong mildew smell and the doors and door frames have large gouges and dings in them. It looks rough. When we arrived to the resort a day late due to plane delays we were informed our room was still not ready for us. So they “upgraded us” and when we arrived to our room, the room smelled stale and a large cockroach was on its back half alive. Our sheets were “clean” but had stains. Which really grossed us out. This place is not cheap, I expected better. I will say the grounds and pools are pretty and well kept. The villas have private pools which are quiet and open 24 hours which was very cool! So many other resorts shut the pools down early so this was a huge positive and much appreciated. The little huts on the beach are great. The hammocks in a quiet zone were relaxing and peaceful. The food in the buffet not only has a great presentation but tastes amazing! They labeled food as gluten free and vegan (when applicable) which was a nice touch for my husband who has those type of diet restrictions. The staff is friendly and always greets you with a smile and a cheerful “hola”. My husband says he would go back, but I’m on the fence. The grounds were so amazing and the pools were fun but the room quality was questionable. I hope this helps.

This is by far not a 5 star hotel. Very outdated rooms, our shower was pretty dirty upon arrival. I just felt gross using the bathroom. The entertainment is pretty subpar compared to other resorts. It did seem like it’s more of a family resort for kids. If you don’t get up at 7am or earlier to reserve a pool chair you will be out of luck, and end up having to sit by the kids water area. The hot tubs were usually luke warm/cold. The beach area is okay. The food was okay nothing spectacular. Let’s talk about room service, I called because I wanted a drink (non alcohol) and I was told room service was just for food (I’ve been to a 3 star hotel and was able to get a beverage to my room). It was our first vacation in 6 years and from our previous resort experiences this was the least entertaining. Thank goodness it was a short trip and all we wanted was relaxation by the pool and sun therapy. Any more than 3 nights and we would have been bored. Oh yea, the timeshare breakfast for a free massage or pool credit, don’t fall for it, thankfully I knew better. This hotel is eco-friendly. So they don’t have water bottles either. The bottle in our room to fill up with their water was dirty. Bring your own bottles if you can or a thermos.

Very good experience; however, the facilities need some maintenance work

Everything good. Need to remodeling the bathroom

All areas were very tidy, staff very nice.

We had a great time. Sometimes they forget to pick up the dishes in rooms. And they were outside the room

Food quality could be a lot better .

Very nice staff, food not excellent but ok. There was some elevators repairing going on while I stayed. Clean service really good. And entertainment team excellent there was always something to do.

Restaurants were good and the service excellent. The bathroom in our room was a bit small but everything ese was great

It is a good hotel & has a good service. but it is a little old so that the equipments are not so good.
