i was kind off disappointed with our stay. the staff are really nice. but there are just some things that could have been better or is expected of an all inclusibe hotel. first off they dont have room service which is wierd for a hotel. dining options are limited to certain times. and some have sitting limits. so you wont technically be able to try all the places during you stay unless you are they maybe for at least a week or more. kulinarium is always full. the other 3 always have a wait. so most of the time you end up eating at the buffet which offers a lot of choices but cooking could be better. and the choices are not that great. cappucino though is fantastic. the only place where you can get food 24 hrs is the sports bar where you can get nachos and cold sandwhiches. not sports bar food really ecept for the nachos. the beach is great. the pool not so much. specially the one near the jacuzzi which only fits 5 to 6 people. thats jacuzzi is too small for a big hotel. the pool by that area has no one swimming most of the time coz the water is freezing. and they only have one towel hut which is on the other side of the hotel. wifi is limited to 2 device unless u pay extra. which is pointless to be all inclusive. staying here had me thinking i should have booked somwhere else.

Really nice hotel to spend 7 days you don’t need to go anywhere you have everything you need to enjoy your vacation

check in was easy staff friendly and helpful had a wonderful time will be back for sure

I’ve been to several all-inclusive hotels in Cancun, and this is the first hotel that does not have room service. You’re not allowed to bring food from the restaurants to the hotel room. You’re allowed 1 towel card per customer, to recent 1 towel only. If you lose your towel/card you owe $40. Some Bartenders weren’t as pleasant. One staff at the swim up bar expects you to say please after asking “May I have a Pina Colada?.” I always tip, no matter how bad service was, because it was a service done. I wouldn’t recommended this hotel to my friends or family. I’m not trying to say it’s horrible, but I’ve been to more welcoming resorts. I do love my waiters at the buffet and my house keeping lady. Overall if everyone was like them, I would have looked past limited towels and the no room service., but unfortunately that wasn’t he situation.

Outside the hotel is great. Nice pools, perfect location, plenty of sun loungers, bars etc. There is plenty of food, it's just not very nice. Same thing, same places everyday. A la carte's cannot be booked. The quality of the food is bad. Also the entertainment isn't good and the nightclub plays the same playlist every night.

Had a great stay and loved the service and food. Room could use a bigger T.V. with better reception. Would defiantly stay here again!

The hotel staff is more than helpful. Everyone single person we encountered working for RIU was courteous, friendly and helpful. The pools are nice and outside entertainment area is really nice. No shortage of drinks or food. We would absolutely return to RIU.

Muy buen hotel / ambiente agradable / buenas actividades / comida excelente / buena vista / buen servicio.

Entire experience was wonderful except for a couple of things. Food, alcohol, service, room, beach and amenities were all inclusive. Variety of foods to please everyone. The Japanese and Italian restaurants are not worth the trouble. People waited hours to get a reservation only to find that the food was portioned, was not good and the same food could be found in the general restaurant. Based on those 2 experiences we didn't try to eat at the other specialty restaurants. The management might consider having just one specialty restaurant with an open menu for those people who enjoy being served. Hotel needs more bathrooms conveniently located. For whatever reason the hotel was overly generous with food and drinks and stingy with the napkins????? Entire staff except for clerks at the front desk were friendly and pleasant and would go out of their way for you. The check-in clerks gave the impression that they had more pressing and important things to do other than provide service: maybe their job is overwhelming,! They appeared to be busy on their computers or leaving the desk to go somewhere and leaving you there alone without saying a word to you: . This was a general perception of all the check-in clerks. Maybe the executives, management, or owners of the Riu might secretively try checking in or asking the clerks for information and see how you are received. Expect to wait a LONG TIME. In spite of my criticisms, I would highly recommend the Riu Cancun All Inclusive.

Love the entertainment staff and pool/beach area. Hotel definitely needs some updating. The rooms are just ok, spacious enough but small bathroom and no shower door? Water went everywhere! Food was good, shows at night were good, would come back again.

I would recommend this hotel only if the hotel gets better front desk staff. A receptionist named Ernesto was rude to me and my family. He seemed very arrogant and didn’t let me finish asking my questions, he would just cut me off. I also asked a simple question like what time is breakfast and said that I can look it up myself in a little pamphlet he provided me. He seemed bothered that I was even asking questions.... Other than that everyone else was very friendly, especially they waiters and waitresses, they were very attentive. Housekeeping was great! The hotel was very very clean! One thing that I didn’t find appropriate was the entertainment. It is supposed to be a family show and they had half naked women dancing on stage ... children shouldn’t be exposed to that. just my humble opinion. I actually saw a couple families leaving because of this.

This hotel was a great place to escape to for a couple of days. The hotel staff are wonderful and so accommodating. You have an ocean view with majority of the rooms, however the rooms all have a bit of a mildew smell to them. The entertainment staff is so friendly and they are so personable with all of the guests. The food provided was not great, the best place I ate was at the steak restaurant for dinner. This is a great place to come if you want to party and hang out by the pool or beach.

Pros - I felt safe in and away from the hotel - Helpful and friendly staff - Good food - Hotel is clean - 5 minute walk to bars and night clubs outside of the hotel Cons - The shows were not good - Outside of the hotel across the street the vendors are relentless

Very nice hotel, well located, excellent people, rooms very clean, good food!!!!!!. I will definitely come back to this hotel!!!

It is very inconvenience for us when the hotel can't except US dollars.

Over all was a wonderful experience Staff is very nice. Also the food was excellent I will return to Rui Thankyou

The rio was an awesome hotel, classy, yet you are able to have a big party time if you like. Drinks are everywhere and the staff is excellent. Pools are clean, beach is nice. Safe area and right in the middle of the hotel zone. Many tours will come pick you up right from your hoTel. Room was insane. Ocean view is beautiful. You won’t regret this place.

Great hotel - check in was easy. Staff was excellent. The food at the buffet and other dining rooms were delicious. Overall - a great stay!!

Great stay...great people! Didn't like the 2 full size beds...but other than that it was a nice stay.

This is my second stay at Riu Cancun. Hotel staff is very friendly, amazing food, hotel has a very nice, clean beach with amazing views.
