The property is beautiful and the staff is very nice. If you have any food allergies SAY AWAY! The staff is instructed to bring you a manager however the managers have very limited knowledge of food allergies.

We didn’t like how Restaurants have same menu everyday .we didn’t like how salads with bacon served as an appetizer .we don’t eat bacon. Sorry but appetizers menu should have more choices. But we did like the fast service and welcoming staff at riu hotel.

This was my second time returning to this property. This place s everything anyone could need. There is quiet and down time. There is partying and celebration. Around the clock food and convenience available. They are always going above and beyond for the customers. Convenient walking distance to stores, malls, markets, clubs, and restaurants. Employees are friendly and attentive. 10/10 Stars! I will be returning again!

Everyone was very accommodating and pleasant.. the room was okay .. air conditioning was poor … the shower drain didn’t work properly filled up with water every shower .. the bed was awful needs to be replaced…along with the sheets set up of having no fitted sheet on the bed daily which exposed the mattress that is very unsanitary…. the drinks were super light … barley any liquor… the smell of fabuloso cleaning supply stayed in your mouth throughout the whole stay… along with the smell of a dirty mop… jet ski service offered at additional price which is fine but when we went to purchase we were told they ran out of gas. Overall the place was decent but I will not be back.

Recommend Riu Cancun!

I highly recommend this place! It is perfect--no car is needed, a great staff, nice location. I wish we would have known that there is no shuttle from the airport if we booked through a third vendor, and so the taxi cost $150 USD because our flight was late, and so they jacked up the prices. A normal taxi is $50USD to the airport. The entertainment was not the best, but for the price, the food and stay was great! I would go back there. Also, the excursion to the Mayan Ruins and Cenote was great, a small walk to the pick up place. Enjoy!

We were very disappointed in our stay. We had to change rooms when we arrived three times due to the condition of the rooms. Dirty sheets on the bed, dirty curtains, and the patio door didn’t work. The food was bland, and the pools were dirty. Our Air conditioning didn’t work and the staff didn’t try real hard to fix it. Management didn’t seem to care about our concerns.

We've stayed at RIU before but this visit was a little different. The entertainment was great because there were a variety of options offered at different times for all age groups. Staff went ABOVE AND BEYOND to ensure our stay exceeded expectations. We were always greeted with a kind "hola" and a smile even when we weren't on RIU location. We would like to specifically thank Pamela, Benni, Josue and Jacob for making us feel like we were special guests. We enjoyed the variety of options for breakfast, lunch and dinner during our stay but was frustrating we couldn't get in to the Japanese House as well as the Steak house. Everyone was extremely friendly and welcomed all of us with open arms. We had an issue with our room and the sliding glass door but when maintenance was called, the response time was roughly 15 minutes and surprised us because of the prompt response (Woohoo). Overall, our stay was a 4.5 out of 5 stars! We will definitely be looking for stays with the RIU class when we decide to travel outside of the United States.
