The room was very, very outdated. Our first room did not have air conditioning. When we complained, instead of switching our room, they kept sending maintenance who couldn't fix anything! Then they finally switched our room to a more outdated room with plaster on the walls like it was full of construction. The beds were hard as a brick! The food choices were terrible; there were only hot dogs, hamburgers, fake steak, fajita meat, and nachos for poolside food. The lines were long for the restaurants, and the buffet was nasty. Luckily, there were good food choices outside of the resort. Overall, I would give the Riu Cancun 0/10!!! Would not recommend!

The location of this resort is beautiful. The beach was excellent. The food was good with lots of variety. Unfortunately, we stayed with the Spring Breakers and the noise was loud and obnoxious into the early morning hours. If it wasn't for the commotion of spring break the resort would have been great. We would definitely stay here again, just not during spring break.

We really enjoyed this property, we have been to multiple Rius. Definitely a party vibe but there are ways to be in the quiet areas when you want to be. We were there during spring break so it was a little busier than we would have liked, but that isn’t the resort’s fault. Dinner selection was limited as most restaurants were full or had long waits unless you were there right at 6. Buffet was good and that’s usually where we ate. Very clean and the service and staff was amazing!! Great location as well!! Grocery and shopping within 5 minute walk. Only negatives were rowdy spring breakers and they were stingy on toilet paper and fresh towels and washcloths in the room. Overall great place!!

The property and staff are all wonderful, very clran and well maintained. The only complaints would be not enough plugs in the rooms and they only use top sheets on the beds that do not stay on the bed while sleeping. My bed did not have a mattress pad, only mattress and sheet. Very minor issues.

We stayed during spring break and the resort was filling with young and rowdy students. The many swimming pools made it possible to find a relatively quiet area for swimming and sun bathing. The food was very good and in abundance. The shrimp, however, was never peeled was tough to peel, and when unpeeled was tough. The room was full of hard surfaces: tiled floors and glass covered tables.

Great location. Walking distance to souvenir places and shopping. All inclusive options are great and the amenities are really good. Staff were nice. It was a little loud at times, sometimes difficult to sleep because people are still awake but recommendable for sure.
