First morning I get woke up by hotels peopke who sell excursions. Called at 8 am and said to bring down my iternetary for him to check. It was all to sell me!!! Couldnt keep my room cool enough. Was cook when i first got there then got warmer as i got closer to end of my stay

Entire week was amazing. Cleanest facility I've been to in Mexico (6th trip). Plenty of food choices and always easy to secure a beverage.

This is a good 3.5 star hotel. The hotel was definitely lacking the amenities to make it a 4 or 5 star hotel. The breakfasts were very good, the lunch was good (both were buffet) but the dinners were only fair. The entertainment was good. We stayed in a junior suite wich was roomy and nice. I think it was a good value overalll but definitely not a 4 or 5 star hotel if that is what you are looking for.

It was an amazing stay loved it! Great ocean view and friendly staff! I also loved the beach bright blue water and nice heated pools!

The hotel staff is amazing and hardworking. We really enjoyed our recent stay! B

My experience at riu Cancun was good. There was some problems like WiFi. They do have WiFi but we only can use up to 2 devices. Overall it’s good.

As a group in our mid 20's we needed an affordable hotel that also provided lots of entertainment and proximity to downtown. RIU Cancun was a perfect choice, the staff itself was awesome; always smiling and enthusiastic. RIU Cancun was one of the more affordable all inclusive hotels in Cancun while still being comfortable and having all the commodities you could want. The room's itself aren't that nice but in reality we spent 90% of our time at the pool or beach. Highly recommend.

This hotel has it all and the do it right! I can't wait to go back. Great location on the beach, close to the clubs, shopping, the ferry, all within walking distance! You really don't need to leave the property though because it has everything!

Very nice location. Can be noisy at night. Staff was working hard.

The Good: Food was excellent. A lot of variety. Entertainment: Evening shows were amusing. Sign up for excursions if you haven’t already done so. The staff is very helpful. Alcohol: More than plentiful and decent quality. The Bad: The pool area becomes shaded after 2:30 in February. Kind of a bummer if you get a late start to sun bathing. Beach area still has sun.

Was definitely skeptical because of some of the bad reviews, glad I didn't rely on those because this vacation was GREAT! Stayed in this resort with my sister for 5 nights, check in and check out were simple. The hotel was very clean staff were constantly cleaning, there was never anything dirty. Careful walking on those floors though, because even though they're not wet they're very slippery. My sister fell in the theater and I've witnessed further trips/falls from guests in the theater and dining areas. The room was clean and comfortable, sometimes it felt pretty humid but it wasn't a big deal. Loved the view from our room, it was a standard ocean view. The staff were so polite and they work HARD, loved them. They were very appreciative of the tips. The buffets were amazing, we each gained 7lbs because we ate so much and the food was so good! We ate at the steakhouse, no reservations were needed but had to line up early at like 550pm for it to open at 730 pm . I liked the steakhouse, my sister didn't enjoy it, said the food wasn't hot. The beach was relaxing, definitely had to get there a little early to get a good spot for sun. Smoking was pretty irritating but we just moved to avoid it,didn't ruin our stay. Entertainment was fun, audience was pretty dead though (lol). We went on 2 excursions, we were told on 1 of them that the pickup was at 730a but after we paid, were informed it was at 545a... Was 100% worth it though. Overall would definitely come here again!!

i was kind off disappointed with our stay. the staff are really nice. but there are just some things that could have been better or is expected of an all inclusibe hotel. first off they dont have room service which is wierd for a hotel. dining options are limited to certain times. and some have sitting limits. so you wont technically be able to try all the places during you stay unless you are they maybe for at least a week or more. kulinarium is always full. the other 3 always have a wait. so most of the time you end up eating at the buffet which offers a lot of choices but cooking could be better. and the choices are not that great. cappucino though is fantastic. the only place where you can get food 24 hrs is the sports bar where you can get nachos and cold sandwhiches. not sports bar food really ecept for the nachos. the beach is great. the pool not so much. specially the one near the jacuzzi which only fits 5 to 6 people. thats jacuzzi is too small for a big hotel. the pool by that area has no one swimming most of the time coz the water is freezing. and they only have one towel hut which is on the other side of the hotel. wifi is limited to 2 device unless u pay extra. which is pointless to be all inclusive. staying here had me thinking i should have booked somwhere else.

Really nice hotel to spend 7 days you don’t need to go anywhere you have everything you need to enjoy your vacation

check in was easy staff friendly and helpful had a wonderful time will be back for sure

I’ve been to several all-inclusive hotels in Cancun, and this is the first hotel that does not have room service. You’re not allowed to bring food from the restaurants to the hotel room. You’re allowed 1 towel card per customer, to recent 1 towel only. If you lose your towel/card you owe $40. Some Bartenders weren’t as pleasant. One staff at the swim up bar expects you to say please after asking “May I have a Pina Colada?.” I always tip, no matter how bad service was, because it was a service done. I wouldn’t recommended this hotel to my friends or family. I’m not trying to say it’s horrible, but I’ve been to more welcoming resorts. I do love my waiters at the buffet and my house keeping lady. Overall if everyone was like them, I would have looked past limited towels and the no room service., but unfortunately that wasn’t he situation.

Outside the hotel is great. Nice pools, perfect location, plenty of sun loungers, bars etc. There is plenty of food, it's just not very nice. Same thing, same places everyday. A la carte's cannot be booked. The quality of the food is bad. Also the entertainment isn't good and the nightclub plays the same playlist every night.

Had a great stay and loved the service and food. Room could use a bigger T.V. with better reception. Would defiantly stay here again!

The hotel staff is more than helpful. Everyone single person we encountered working for RIU was courteous, friendly and helpful. The pools are nice and outside entertainment area is really nice. No shortage of drinks or food. We would absolutely return to RIU.

Muy buen hotel / ambiente agradable / buenas actividades / comida excelente / buena vista / buen servicio.

Entire experience was wonderful except for a couple of things. Food, alcohol, service, room, beach and amenities were all inclusive. Variety of foods to please everyone. The Japanese and Italian restaurants are not worth the trouble. People waited hours to get a reservation only to find that the food was portioned, was not good and the same food could be found in the general restaurant. Based on those 2 experiences we didn't try to eat at the other specialty restaurants. The management might consider having just one specialty restaurant with an open menu for those people who enjoy being served. Hotel needs more bathrooms conveniently located. For whatever reason the hotel was overly generous with food and drinks and stingy with the napkins????? Entire staff except for clerks at the front desk were friendly and pleasant and would go out of their way for you. The check-in clerks gave the impression that they had more pressing and important things to do other than provide service: maybe their job is overwhelming,! They appeared to be busy on their computers or leaving the desk to go somewhere and leaving you there alone without saying a word to you: . This was a general perception of all the check-in clerks. Maybe the executives, management, or owners of the Riu might secretively try checking in or asking the clerks for information and see how you are received. Expect to wait a LONG TIME. In spite of my criticisms, I would highly recommend the Riu Cancun All Inclusive.
