Great location, close to the airport, between the ports, easy walk to town. Overall an excellent vacation, this was our first time staying at this resort but we have been to Cozumel many times. We would stay here again.
If you want to have the best vacation you have ever had , stay at the Cozumel Palace !!! It's amazing ! I just got home from my last trip there a few hours ago and I can't wait to go back ! Your more that a guest when you stay at the Palace , your family !!!
As you will read in many of the reviews, the Palace staff are the best. We especially appreciated the maid service. Fresh towels all day, turn down service with chocolates, and ice bucket at the hot tub and robes and slippers laid out. My wife felt like a princess. Food and drink service was great all week, including delicious cocktails at the swim up bar and as we watched the Carnival parade in front of the hotel. My wife really enjoyed the hot stone massage. We used the in house scuba outfit Aqua Safari and they were great also (thanks Elpidio, Sergio and Walter).
DIVING AND STAFF WAS GREAT. DIVE BOAT COULD BE FASTER.
My husband and I stayed at Cozumel Palace for three nights. We were surprised by how dated the hotel and all of its facilities were once we arrived. While the hotel does have a beautiful sea view and is right on the water, the staff isn't overly friendly and the room is only okay for the price (the bed was uncomfortable - anytime someone would blink the whole bed would shake). The food at all of the restaurants onsite was above average and there are amble options for dinner. We also visited the spa - by no means luxurious and the treatments seemed rushed. Overall, I would not return to Cozumel palace.
I will start with the very limited "Cons" associated with the resort. 1. The Time-Share Presentation is very high pressure and it lasted 2 1/2 hours. They will tell you it is not high pressure from the onset to get you on the hook, but it is nothing of the sort. "No" means "No", but apparently, not to them. We had 3 different people attempt to push us toward becoming a "Member", but the "free" items are definitely not worth it. I strongly recommend that you opt out of that horrible experience. 2. The pool bar was not operational during our stay. This was not a big deal whatsoever. 3. There was limited night activity. It gets quiet early and the island overall, is not a hot spot for night life. Again, this was not a huge deal to us, but to others, I can see where they may want Cancun. 4. There is no beach nearby. Now for the PROS! 1. The staff blew away any positive experience that I had previously. They are the best of the best, bar none! They remembered names of the guests as if they have known them for years. The cleaning staff, Entertainment staff, servers, bar hops, bell hops, reception desk all greet you with a smile and a kind gesture. The staff actually will run to open doors for the patrons and they all seem like they are in the best of moods at all times. I can not stress enough how the staff makes this smaller resort shine above all others!!!! A shout out to "LEO" who is a pro at his job!!! 2. Rooms were very clean! 3. Ocean view is outstanding!
We had so much fun and it was more than what we expected. The facility is awesome and the people are so wonderful. We sat through the 1 1/2 hour spiel but it is not for us since we don't vacation tropical every vacation. We go see family and others mostly. We treat ourselves about 1 every 5 years. We definetly are going to come back or go to the "Sister resorts" . The SPA was wonderful!! The food is great, and the drinks just kept flowing. The one thing I noticed is the people that work here, work hard and take pride in their jobs. That is really what makes this place so special...THE WONDERFUL PEOPLE!!! Sometimes I get to be forgetful when I'm in a hurry and I forgot my purse in the bathroom stall...freaked me out because we were away for 4 hours, got back to the hotel and they had it and everything, even the cash was still in my bag...it could have been very devastating! AGAIN IT"S THE PEOPLE!!
Great overall experience. One downside is they allow divers to book dive times before coming to resort.
This has to be one of the best menus for an all-inclusive resort. So much variety on their menu. Not big piles of food on the buffet lines. Every meal cooked with pride. Beware of the sales pitch. They'll try to have you sit through a 90 minute promotion in return for additional credits for the spa or tours. If you have the time/patience, go for it. If not, just tell them no thanks. can't see anyone buying what they want to sell you. Staff is great. Most remember your name. Drinks served constantly. Try and fly directly to Cozumel rather than into Cancun and having to ferry over or take a puddle jumper. Cozumel Airport has expanded. You can fly there via ATL, MIA, CHARLOTTE, DALLAS/FT WORTH. Wi Fi decent, not perfect. Oh, you can also call back to the US from your room phone at no charge!!!
Everything about Cozumel Palace was wonderful. Everyone was so friendly and accommodating. The diving was very convenient, with Aqua Safari being right on site. I look forward to another vacation here in the future. You pay 16 tax on your resort credit, which was well worth it for the diving.
This Hotel is the best. The service is top notch. The restaurants are good. No beach but the snorkeling is good in front of the Hotel. Close proximity to town. Didn't care for the prolonged sales pitch for their points system when we arrived.
Just as expected this hotel was even better than our stay in 2008. Very Polite Staff and took care of our group of 10. Isais, Bernice, Ana and Isiodro were very acommadating to our needs. My wife was hospitalized while we were there and the staff made us a priority. A top notch hotel!! We will be back!
Service is unmatched on the island. Food is among the best on the island for resorts. Safe for families. Make sure to rent a jeep and take an island excursion.
Met our expectations. Was a great place to stay and service was great and so was the food. Massages were awesome. Pool was great.Snorkeling by the resort was fun too.Nightly entertainment was good too.
Wonderful service, best resort on Cozumel! The views from the rooms are amazing - be sure to request the upper level floors.
I highly recommend the Cozumel Palace Resort:The staff were friendly and very helpful, and the food delicious!
Really wonderful staff. Extremely accommodating and great food.
so great we are coming back same time again this year! This place is a diamond in the rough! best kept secret we have experienced...great size so the staff gets to know you!! we love it.
The family had a great time. Hotel staff are exceptional. Very accommodating. Rooms are ok because they need some updating. They were clean but dated. Hotel overall is very nice. Very close walking to shopping and ferry to Playa. Playacar hotel is in the same group, less than 5 minute walk from the ferry on the Playa side and included in the all inclusive. I will stay again in the future.
We took my parents on a trip to Cozumel, it was their first time in Mexico! My stepmom loved the rooms "so pretty I could cry" were her exact words. Loved the service as always with a palace! Really wish we could have used our credits for more but it is what it is. The food was great and the flaming coffee drink is always fun to watch them make. Staff really is amazing they are so nice and fun! The whole place was very clean and we all had a really wonderful time. Drinks were also very good! You can always ask for a double if you feel you want them stronger. chi products in all the rooms is a very nice touch, also supply a chi flat iron and blow dryer in each room! So ladies can leave that at home :)
