Great little boutique hotel within walking distance to everything you need. Breakfast is fantastic and the evening bartender is fabulous. No kids, so it's a plus for adult getaway. Not on the beach but you can see it from the pool on the roof. This is our goto hotel for Cozumel scuba diving weekends.

The hotel is a small, non-beach accommodation but the cleanliness, friendliness and everything about it were absolutely phenomenal. The free breakfasts are the best, and Ivan the bartender can recommend anything you need to know to eat or go. It was perfect!

clean, comfortable with A/C and hot water. Cannot say enough wonderfut things about the amazing staff Hector and Evan! Truly a gem

This is a small boutique hotel that is in the perfect location for shopping and dinning. The staff is super friend and helpful, we stayed in a Superior room that was nice and big. The 2 down sides there was no pool and no ice machines. but they had a stocked fridge with very reasonably priced drinks. Ivan makes a mean mojito at th e bar. Breakfast was good and very inexpensive if you wanted more that just toast and a fruit plate. We are planning on going back again in November. We rented scooters from Isis, which is right around the corner and explored the island everyday. Best Vacation ever! Cozumel is a refreshing, relaxing break from Play del Carmen and Cancun!

This hotel is located at the center of town. Practically everything is walking distances. You can rent scooters just around the corner (ISIS) or you can set up your diving. There are couple of eateries across the street from the hotel as well, an Argentina Asado type grill place and a local taqueria. In general you will not be disappointed with the food in Cozumel. Breakfast (with the $2.50 upgrade) at Flamingo is really a good deal. Room has AC, wifi (sometimes reaches the room!), clean bathrooms, sheets etc. Location is safe. I have heard people complain about the hard mattresses, but, I didn't find it uncomfortable. Oxxo (7-11 type places) are nearby and so is a mega (walmart type super store ) 1 mile away. The ferry terminal is also close by. The staff at Flamingo (Adrain, Ivan, Elisabeth) are phenomenal. Very friendly. I recommend this place for adults, looking to do their own thing. Not a lot for kids to do.

Clean/comfortable. Walking distance to great local restaurants. great bartender took care of us and enjoyed mingling with other travelers. they had a refrigerator mini bar in the room which was kept stocked daily with beer, wine, soda, bottled water and more. We never had to shop or set foot in a store all week. Rented a car and went to a different beach everyday and explored the island. Great fun!

I stayed at the Hotel Flamingo for a week in early January and had a great time. The hotel is a perfect location to walk to everything. You can walk a few blocks to the square for dinner/shopping or a few blocks to the water. This is a not a good hotel if you want to be on the beach, but you are a short taxi ride from great beaches. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone. The staff is great and very helpful to schedule day trips or help you rent a bike for a tour of the island. The breakfast and coffee were great in the morning and the margaritas at the bar were excellent in the evening. The room was very clean and friendly staff. The only problem was the water pressure was a little low since it is an older hotel. Need to let the water run to warm up. Great little hotel for the money and the location could not be better. I will be back again for a another stay soon.

We love this place and raved to all our friends that if you are in Cozumel this is the place to stay! Given that we are use to air conditioned lives we were so thankful to have a/c in the room! You will not regret your stay in this beautiful hotel.

We had a nice "first night" stay in Cozumel on our way to one of the resorts. From this hotel it is easy to explore the rest of the city. We'll be back if the price is as competitive as our last stay!

Just got back from Carnaval on Cozumel and stayed at the Flamingo. We loved this hotel. The bed was SUPER comfortable, the room was very spacious and not only clean but beautifully decorated. The staff was wonderful. Can't way to go back!

I stayed here with two friends for a 4 day weekend. It was so nice. The hotel is pretty, has a nice continental breakfast, helpful staff & is in a nice location near delicious restaurants. They were doing a bit of construction on the stairs near our room in the morning which was a little noisy but not too bad. I would stay here again in a heartbeat!

The hotel was veryclose to the center of town and amazing views of cozumel.... The gentleman at the frog desk, Ivan, was very helpful and friendly.... Very clean spacious room and price was very good! Definitely recommend for families and couples....

Perfect hotel with lots of character (unlike your standard "Best Westins", etc. Perfect for those who don't want to be stuck in all-inclusive but explore the area. We rented a car and snorkeled at lots of beaches. All we wanted from a hotel is being clean, friendly and provide a breakfast. We got all these five star! Breakfast choices and quality are great and for only $2. Rooms are spacious and very clean. I wish they had a bit more storage space/shelves for suitcases. It does matter for those staying longer than couple days (we stayed for 2 weeks). Also I would add a couple more shelves and hooks in the bathroom. But again, those minor things don't matter much. Overall our experience was great!

It was our first visit to Cozumel, we were wanting a place within town and something accessible to restaurants and shops... we weren't disappointed. It was a short ten minute ride from the airport in taxi, the hotel is situated half a block from the waterfront. Everything within the ''city" town (shops, restaurants, plaza, cafes, 7/11, etc...) is located within a short walking distance. One can also take a 2 dollar taxi ride to San Miguel's huge grocery store La Commercial where one will find all sorts of snacks and goodies as well as essential toiletries (shampoo, biodegradable sunscreen. etc.). The hotel itself although not a three star is extremely nice and comfortable. The staff is superb! [...]our housekeeper always left our room spotless and made sure to leave us plenty of towels. [...], the hotel's bartender always greeted us with a smile and friendly conversation, and I must say he makes some of the best margaritas we've ever tasted! The hotel serves a basic continental breakfast of toast and fruit, with excellent strong yummy coffee. Overall, The Flamingo is a lovely little hotel with a gracious-friendly staff and above all, it's conveniently located... especially for a first timer to the island. The only thing we would suggest would be a large mirror or vanity within the room since the only mirror we had was in the bathroom. Also, the air conditioning was set to where we couldn't change the temp in the room and we often had to switch it off before bed because it would get too cold. Other than that, we would highly recommend this little hotel to anyone... We want to come back to Cozumel next year and we plan on staying at Hotel Flamingo once again.

We arrived at the Hotel Flamingo after staying at a much larger, somewhat isolated upscale hotel on the North side of the island just to savor the local town flavor for a few days. If we go back to Cozumel, we'll be staying at the Hotel Flamingo. The staff was absolutely great! It was like staying at a friend's house. The little bar was perfect for the two of us, the room was quiet, clean and comfortable. The little restaurant, "Jeannie's" served out not only the best breakfast we had eaten on Cozumel,(Try the Waffles Benedict!),but Jeannie gave us great advice as to where to go to eat at the best local spots during our explorations of the island and town. Unlike some of the places we have been, the staff gave honest answers about places worth bothering with and those not which really enhanced the experience and saved a lot of time. Ivan, the bartender, not only made great drinks, but saved us money with his ready advice and precise directions about what was worth seeing and what was not. Xantal, the gal at the front desk, made sure we didn't get ripped off any time we took a taxi, making sure we knew what was a decent fare and what was not. The location is great if you want to be just outside of the raucus activity, but like the option of jumping into the fray with a short walk if the mood hits you. It's just on the other side of the Plaza from where the Cruise Ships disgourge their hordes of Temporary Tourists so you can choose to participate or not and don't have to deal with the crowds if you don't wish to. For the price, it was by far the best bargain we found on Cozumel. We loved it!

Friendly, helpful staff and nice Continental Breakfast with rooms. Most rooms face a courtyard where there is an open bar and it can get very noisy well into the evening. Location doesn't get better, just a block to the ocean and within walking distance to the ferry dock.

The Flamingo was a pleasant surprise. It is walking distance to nice restaurants and shops, and just a block from the seawall. There are lounge chairs on the rooftop, with a great view of town and the water. I've been to Cozumel about 20 times, have rented a house and stayed in "fancier" hotels, but enjoyed this hotel the most. It is not a party place, but great for anyone wanting to relax in a quiet atmosphere, and have easy access to town. It is a short cab ride to snorkeling/ diving spots, and a short walk to many bars and restaurants.

The staff was friendly and very helphful through out our stay. We especially liked the hotel's location being close to the main road. Most everything we needed was within short walking distance.

Most impressive was the service provided by the front-desk folks, the barkeeps, [...]and her staff who provide either a continental breakfast [included] or customized breakfast at great prices. Having coffee available at the courtyard or street-side tables was far better than making it in one's room. The small and quiet hotel is only disrupted by the street traffic which consisted of delivery trucks; rental cars [driven by lost tourists]; motorcycles & mopeds; and bicycles. Local children playing in the streets added a certain authenticity that all inclusive tourist hotels cannot. The family run restaurant across the street had wonderful food at fair prices and the service provided by the "children-in-training" was a bonus. If you are looking for the opposite of all-inclusive hotels and want what was probably island hotel service from the days of old, Hotel Flamingo is a good Bet.
