A nice older resort. Good service. Good security. Food was not as good as expected. It is an a good location, not too far from busy town, far enough to be quiet.
The rooms are large, but they show a lot of signs of age. We've been coming to this hotel for years, and it gets worse every time. In reach room we've been, all six drawers of the dresser are broken so I hurt my back reach time. We have given up and leave them partially open so we can reach out belongings without attempting to open and close them. This time the bathtub was so scratched up, with pieces of the surface that had peeled off. Same with the tiles, walking barefoot we injured our toes a couple of times. Our maid this year was wonderful though, which made us feel better about the room. She kept it immaculate, and gave us washcloths when we requested them. We always take the all inclusive formula for convenience, bit it is mediocre cafeteria food. We know what to expect, so that's ok. They have delicious fresh cut fruit. Most of the servers are super nice. Most of them will forget your order though( you have to order your beverages from a server, even water). The pool is shallow but very large and beautiful, with a lot of lounge chairs around it: a nice place to hang out with a good book. There's a tiny library on the first floor ( second floor for Americans) which we enjoy a lot for book exchanges. It's a 20 minutes walk to the main square in town, and only 10 minutes to the two supermarkets. The main reason we come back is the drive shop on the beach side of the property. So convenient! Their staff are very nice and helpful.
the resort is wonderful with an amazing staff. it is nothing fancy as far as food and rooms but always so clean and inviting. the staff is wonderful and the food and drinks are good.
We have stayed at this property 5 of our 20 times going to Cozumel. Wyndham bought this property a few years back and has changed the check out procedure to be more ridged or so they said. It was noon and our flight was delayed so rather than being rushed we thought we would check out and have lunch. We where told that she would have to remove our wrist bands and then pay for our lunch at an all inclusive resort. I was able to delay the wrist bands till after we order. I started the check out procedure and had cut out 4 /5 wristbands and was waiting on my son who was in the middle of an online class and needed a few more minutes for his class to finish. I offered to cut the wrist band. (The lady could see him) She said I will have to get security. I honestly thought for a half a second that she was joking then realized she was serious. My son had just finished the class. We removed the wrist band. I then asked to speak to the manger who was standing write there in next to us the whole time. I asked him what the deal was all of the other times we where at this resort never had this issue. He said its not them its Wyndham. I said, sir you are the reprehensive of Wyndham. I asked why he did nothing when and security was brought in to the conversation, especially when know one was no hostility. He later apologized. The real kicker the people checking out of their rooms at 2pm when we where leaving for the Airport. That had been drinking and eating in the same restaurant
Love that they had music at Lunch time was fun
wonderful hotel with good food, great service, and great food. the staff treats you so well here and the hotel is nice and clean
I really liked the beach area. Great for snorkeling, pretty water, calm. Pool was great, rarely busy. Free breakfast was great, lots of variety.
Great Hotel, wonderful staff, good food
everything was great.
MULTIPLE ROOMS ROBBED AND SAFE BROKEN INTO My family just returned home from our fifth trip this hotel. we had returned several times as it has a great location and our dive operator is able to pick us up there. We have found the property pleasant enough and have always enjoyed our visits, unfortunately that has all changed. Our two adjoining rooms each had money stolen from inside of them. My daughter had over $100 dollars stolen from her Backpack. In our room our safe was opened and $700 dollars was removed from inside. the amount was well documented and after realizing we had $810 Stolen from our rooms. the theft was realized after only being at the hotel for 1 day. on the night of Sunday the 18th we went to the lobby to report the loss and the lobby was already filled with police officers taking the same reports from multiple victims. we have since learned of a serious pattern consisting of opening room doors, Safes Luggage, ECT. when management came to our room and plugged there device into our safe to open it, the history report showed guest entry instead of staff or Admin entry. when we shared our story with other hotel guest we received Backlash from staff poorly managing our claims. it is easy to find additional reviews showing the same recent history. it began to appear in the actions of management of attempts to protect the employees responsible as they had video evidence and it them. our trip dates were February 18-26th and at least 3 other rooms victimized also
The food was delicious and always changing in variety. The large pool has plenty of room around it for lounging. Love the beach front area and bar. The salt pool was a favorite place.
The diving is just across the street.
Very clean. Great food at buffet. Friendly and personable staff. They need cushions on lounge chairs down by the ocean.
The snack bar by the pool. Enjoyed that very much. The bartender at the beach was usually absent did not like that
We have stayed here many times. So close to town, safe and friendly staff. Food has improved. Scuba dive friendly.
The all-inclusive package did not disappoint us at all. The staff were hard-working and made it extra special on Christmas Eve with an enormous delicious spread. Check-in was super quick and the staff was friendly and hospitable letting us know everything about the resort. They took extra care while serving food knowing I was severely allergic to shellfish. The on-site restaurant offers delicious oceanfront brunches and dinners. Dive shops, snorkeling spots, and adventure tours are available on the property.
I like the property you are able to rent scooters and vehicles. They also have a representative to assist you with booking tours on the property. I didn’t like the property is older and it’s more of a hotel than a resort. Not too much to do in the hotel. You have to go out for extracurricular activities. They only have a pool. It is not a resort; it’s a hotel for an older crowd. Not too many options for food. Only one restaurant that can only dine for breakfast buffet style. On site they only have the Buffett and a snack bar only open for a few hours. If you are hungry you would have to go off site if you don’t want to eat at the buffet or if you missed the snack bar that closes at 5.
we arrived at the time of check-in and our room was not ready. we were asked to come back in 30 min. we came back and the room was still not ready. We were asked again to come back and the room was still not ready. we came back about 45 min after that just to realize they had given our room to someone else. They did give us a different room, the a/c was not good, and there were huge roaches the first night. Their partial ocean view is VERY partial, so i would not pay the upgrade for this room. you will need to verify if they have a refrigerator in your room, its probably an upgrade. I did not know this before hand, i have medication to take that needs to be refrigerated and had they not upgraded us to a room because of their mistake, i would have been screwed. they provided some rooms with wash cloths and others with hand towels. the ones that were provided hand towels were told they did not have wash cloths to use. they were not consistent at all. the snack bar and buffet was only open until 5 so if you did any activities and didnt get back in time you were limited to only 1 option for your meals. I would love to go back to Cozumel, however, I would not go back to this Hotel & Resort
