Staff was very polite and helpful

The friendliest of the staff. Worst was the mattresses. They were not comfortable.

Like that room was clean every day

The service from all staff was excellent! There were some things about the facilities that kept popping up during my visit that has me hesitant to stay here again. The water in the entire hotel did not work for ~6 hours randomly throughout one of the days of my stay. The A/C quit working the last day I was there and they were unable to fix it before I left. The food is sub-par at best and even the themed restaurants got old after 1 visit.

Let’s start with the the water on the resort went out! Unable to take a shower! Lots of guest were upset!!! On a scale of 1-10, I’d give the rooms a 2. The power outlets barely work! They need to do some serious renovations bc the places was breaking apart! I can’t remember her name but The fitness coach was AMAZING. I attended her beach yoga, Zumba and volleyball game! She was great about keeping the guest entertained. The sales people who sell excursions are extremely misleading! They tell you on the excursion all the things you can do however they leave out that your paying for transportation and food to and from the resort. Once you get to the actual excursion site, you have to pay additional ALL the fun stuff! .

The rooms missing things like a clock, in the shower etc

Excellent beach, but the food was pretty lackluster and the beds are hard as a rock.

no Jacuzzi,great Buffet

Amazing view, beach, and pool. Rooms could use a tech update but are clean and great water pressure. Mini bar well stocked. They even have bottles of liquor that you can tap an ounce at a time. Staff is friendly. Food is good sometimes. There seemed to be changing standards but luckily a few times the meals were pleasing. Masks are required at all eating areas. We were a bit annoyed masks are not provided upon request. During off hours the only place to eat is the sports bar. Sports bar has needed an update for 20 years. The food is terrible in the sports bar. Wrapped sandwiches and burritos you have to microwave. Even super hungry we had s hard time eating in there. Pool tables and other games in the sports bar are pay to play (should be free in my opinion) but the REALLY annoying part is there is no change machine. We kept being ignored by the bartender when trying to get change TO SPEND IN THE SPORTS BAR. If its too much of a hassle to give change to your guests to play the games then don’t make them pay to play. Overall was a good experience. A few basic changes and it goes from good to great.

My only complaint was with the workers, working the market. I went to purchase swimsuits and they kicked us out and told us “no.” Not sure why, didn’t ask questions, just left the market. No business from us I guess.

They do not wash the pool towels after every use they lay them out to dry fold and give them out again to reuse, table cloths after customer gets up if dirty they just flip it an seat next customer, there’s no night life long wait to get seated for dinner was not found of buffet that was the only option left for dining or go off the premises the rooms are real small too nothing special about this place.

THE PROPERTY WAS DISGUSTING SO NOT WORTH THE MONEY I WISH I COULD GET MY MONEY BACK FOR MY WHOLE STAY THE FOOD WAS DISGUSTING AND THE DRINKS ARE SUPER FAKE.

Not too many option for Vegetarians foods in hotel. We talked to manager lady and she said we have boil vegetables etc. And we explained her that not for lunch and dinner options for us. We stayed their 5 nights and ate only cheese/veggie pizza. We tried Mexican food in Mexican Resturant and they said they don’t have regular beans in restaurant. They said only pork beans. Stupid system. I recommend for people who are vegetarian they don’t go in this Riu Caribe hotel resorts. My both kids said next time we go Crown Paradise resort. We visited Crown Paradise resorts in 2018 and it was so nice. So many option for vegetarians food like veggie burger, Chineese food on pool side section, and Mexican restaurant was so nice Thanks. Thanks.

RIU needs to work on the food options. I have stayed at RIU a lot of times and my only complain is they will not accommodate food allergy and vegetarian and vegan population.

The property was beautiful, safe and clean. My only complaint is that the beds were terrible.

Food was horrible. No room service. Every restaurant was a buffet.

Dear Rene, Thank you for sharing your feedback. We are glad to read you loved the beach! On regards to the beds, sometimes it is difficult to match all our guests’ preferences regarding the bed. We would have liked to have been informed regarding this during your stay in order to help you upon request with additional mattress toppers. Moreover, it is unfortunate to read that we were not always able to meet your taste with the food served at our restaurants, let me assure that our chefs always try to offer variety and quality in order to meet every guest’s expectations. Nevertheless, as mentioned, we do take every comment into account and pass them on to the departments involved, in order to be discussed and apply the right measures when necessary. Kindest wishes, Hotel Riu Caribe Online Reputation Manager
