Our room smelled like sewer. I had to go to the front desk 3 times to get my room changed within the first hour of being there. They kept sending staff to spray air freshener or bleach spray to try to rid the smell. Loud construction next door. They have cockroachs in the hallways, one was inside one of the restaurants running across the table. My second room progressively smelled like old urine/sewer as the week went on. They again came with bleach spray and sprayed it into the air conditioner vents. They had security that wasn't good. On 3 different nights myself and the young ladies I was traveling with were stalked by drunk men. We were only able to eat the eggs, hamburger, pancakes, lasagna from the Italian restaurant. The rest of the food was not good. Not good choices for kids either. We ate French fries every day to get full. The kid area smelled awful like sewer. The room service didn't answer in the middle of the night. The phone in our room had a bad connection, it hung up all the time during calls to the front desk or to housekeeping. The beds are hard, the pillows are small and cheap. I went to the supervisor to make my complaints and he gave me paper to write a letter. I left the letter with him when we checked out. I still have not received a response from them. Only positives, nice pool, nice beach, friendly staff. I will not return to this place, neither will our group of 33 people. None of us would recommend going to this place. Pick another place!!!

I am pretty shocked this resort had such great reviews. The property is large and has a lot of activities for the kids, so they loved it. My husband and I had different views. First, the resort is very run down. You can tell they do not fix things but rather put band aids on them and it shows. Lots of cracking and chipping paint and tiles, lots of moldy and dirty corners, broken blinds in the room, toilets that make all sorts of noise, etc. Plus, cockroaches in the public bathrooms. The food was mediocre. A few of the dinner options require reservations and it is hard to get a reservation at 8am when reservations open. We only made them for two of the nights we were there, the others we opted for the non reservation required restaurants and waited at least 30 minutes for each. We have two boys, 5 years and 13 years and while I understand we have a large age gap, we were very disappointed that the 13-year-old could not play with the 5-year-old in the Kids Club. Luckily, they both could do the water slides, so once we found those, we did not go back to the kids club, so that was a huge bummer for us. The game room was very run down, no basketball for the court. The staff was wonderful. Everyone was very nice and helpful. We were very pleased with everyone we dealt with. There was some confusion at the front desk about which restaurants required reservations and which ones did not, but once we figured it out, it worked out ok. Overall, we would not go back.

Very good pool and park amenities, but the room was dirty and the service was lacking (wouldn't answer the phone, would not help fix our AC, there were no towels available, the door to the balcony was broken), the food in the restaurants were not of good quality, but there was always food available.

It was a really good hotels in terms of the staff and the restaurant were really good. However the room we stay in had a few problems. The shower was not working the day we arrive. The toilet was leaking. And there were days that the cleaning team did not replenish the towels they took away.

The restaurants they offer and buffet are some of the worst I've had. Food is cold and wait time at the restaurants is too long. Everyone in the hotel is supposed to make reservations at 8am for the restaurant they want to eat. Upon arrival they inform you to call the reservation line which is impossible to get thru. We eventually found out there are also QR codes. We stayed 7 nights 8 days and it was a group of 11 of us. We only got to eat one time together. Every place gave us the excuse that they couldn't accommodate us. The rooms need maintaining. There was mold in the bathroom. Bed was falling apart and the refrigerator never worked. AC filter was dirty, and sheets had stains on them. They do have a lot of activities for kids to keep them busy. Sometimes difficult to reserve activities because there was a lot of people. It takes the staff almost 1 hour to clean spills. At the buffet 3 employees were told someone dropped egg on the floor and one employee eventually placed a chair over it so no one steps on it. Pools for the most part were not heated and it was windy when we went so a heated pool would've been nice. Overall, i won't be coming back to this location.

Comfortable in Cancun

Nice place, comfortable. The dining in the buffet area was a bit chaotic and the food is mediocre. I had trouble with the wifi so i wasnt able to make daily reservation at the restaurants. I was alone and i sint think they like solo travelers. The best part was the beach bar and Roger and Joel. Two hardest working guys in cancun. I went for the beach and thevsun and thats what i got. To catch the sunrise stay in building 1

This was my second time staying at this property. The front desk staff was rude. First, they gave us a room and when we went in, someone was sleeping in the room. Then we went downstairs and they gave us a second floor when we had asked for the top floor I asked for front desk because housekeeping wasn’t picking up their phone and I was told to come downstairs because the phones weren’t working properly. I asked for four blankets and a pillow and a few minutes later I get a delivery of four towels and I had to wait more for the blankets so my kids can go to sleep. I had to wait almost an hour to get the blankets. The food was mediocre. I can definitely say that the food has gone downhill from the last time I visited. the waiters and bartenders were great. The front desk needs to have better staff, friendly staff. I will not be staying at this resort or recommending it to anyone I know.

When you ask housekeeping or front desk for anything it takes 1 hour 30 minutes to 2 hours to get your service request filled. I had so many bad experiences I hate to relieve them. It makes me cry.

Lots of potential but too much cost cutting

The location and views of the property are great. There's a lot of potential but its very clear that cost cutting is rampant through out the property. Limits on bottles of water provided (we traveled with an infant who needed water for making formula which became difficult); buffet lines were long and poorly managed. Food ran out constantly and the front of house staff at the restaurants were also rude. The concierge provided little to no help when asked for transportation options etc. The servers, bar tenders and pool/beach servers were great. Overall a lot of potential.

Overall a great resort for the price. Restaurants were good! Especially the mexican. Resort currently is lacking shade at the pools not sure why as the structures are there for the canvases. Buffet is good for breakfast, lunch doesn’t have much options. Smaller resort which makes getting around easy. Night entertainment was decent. Over all happy with the trip for the price

We really enjoyed our stay! The hotel is very family-friendly, and the atmosphere was great. The only thing I’d love to see is a bit more of a Latino touch—maybe playing some Latino music. Overall, a wonderful experience!
