We've stayed at RIU's in Cabo and Cancun. Both have been amazing experiences. We will always stay at a RIU if available.

We booked for 5 people to Cancun but we ended up going 4 people. I asked orbitz for a refund for the hotel stay, a representative told me he will call hotel and process a refund but nobody called and no refund is processed. Disappointed that this is the 4th trip to cancun using Orbitz.

This resort is wonderful for fun and relaxing. The ocean view from my room was beautiful. Wonderful staff. Can't say enough of this beautiful resort.

First off I have stayed at many Riu locations throughout Mexico and this one is by far the largest. There are many pools and many different cultures from around the world. One complaint that I have is there seem to be no rules for kids being in the swim-up pool bar area. I don't understand those who have there kids in this area. I think the hotel should at least have one pool with NO kids. I would hesitate to go here again because of this. It's not relaxing when kids are splashing, crying, and not minding at the pool. The other Riu hotels I have stayed at I did not have such a bad experience with this issue. Other then that great hotel, amenities, staff, and you cannot go wrong with there All-Inclusive.

Everything was great and clean the food was really good and everyone is helpful and friendly

Service was truly red carpet treatment both times we stayed! I would recommend to anyone traveling to Cancun!

Had a very nice time service was excellent the food was good the beach was clean.

Great time at a beautiful place with a very friendly and attentive staff.

Great staff. So friendly and helpful. Room was a little small for four but very clean. Atmosphere and staff better than club Med. Food was phenomenal.

We have stayed 4 times in the past 3 years. Great resort. Staff is friendly and helpful. The room and hotel at large is clean.Food is great both at the buffet and restaurants. The service at the restaurants was a little slow. They have gone to a no reservation policy which is new. I would prefer better red wine selections. Overall I would recommend this resort and will be booking here again

I had emailed them 3 weeks prior to my arrival letting them know that I will be spending my birthday there and would appreciate a room on one of the higher floors. I was told they can't make any promises but will do their best. While checking in, I mentioned my request and the front desk woman was aware of it, giving me and my boyfriend the room keys to the 15th floor! We then asked about making reservations for the specialty restaurants but were told that reservations are no longer needed. Karen at the small customer service desk next to the front desk also suggested great options for my birthday dinner and also arranged room decorations, champagne, and chocolate covered strawberries which was wonderful. Now moving on from check in, the room was beautiful with even more beautiful views of the resort and ocean. The cleaning staff, restaurant staff, bar staff, pretty much every employee at the hotel treated us like royalty and seemed to take good care of everyone. Some unpleasant aspects I would like to point out would be 1) some troubles with the hot tub which took 2 calls at 2 separate times of the day for someone to finally come and fix it 2) there are 3 elevators, 1 being broken for my entire stay with no one working to fix it 3) the room key card reader on our door being broken which resulted in us being locked out for 30 min until someone came and fixed it (AFTER we made a trip back down to front desk for another key) 4) pool area always runs out of towels

After being moved around in 3 different rooms, the smell of mold, broken toilets, non working shower heads and broken hot tubs, we were over this place within the first 8 hours were there. Most of the staff is lazy and rude. It's crawling with kids. Their room service menu is minimal and not worth it. There is a not a taco or quesadilla to be found anywhere. They skimp on booze in the drinks. The swim-up pool (we were so excited for) smells of a sewer and some of the bartenders and rude and unapproachable. Do yourself a favor- don't book this place. Trust me. We left there beyond frustrated, exhausted and more stressed than before “vacation” started.

Lovely trip as usual. Staff wonderful, food wonderful, beach wonderful. LOVE it

1 to 10 I will rate this hotel 7, Specialty Restaurants except the steak house were awful, beach area very rocky and dirty, in between the Hours of 10:30 to 12:30 no food or actually they feed you left overs.

Great hotel, well worth the pricing and love that it's close to the beach and offers great help to get around to do activities. Loved the nice pool that has a bar inside of it pretty neat!

Great location, friendly staff. Pool and beach areas are nice.

Our fourth time staying here. The remember us from year-to-Year and treat us like family.

Had a great stay at Riu Palace Peninsula. Hotel was modern and remodeled. Staff were amazing, and beach was quite without a lot of local vendors.

Should have more vegetarian food. Restaurants were terrible. Buffet was very good.

The hotel was nice and clean. Staff was friendly. One thing that was quite frustrating was their elevators. Every single day atleast one of our elevators were out of service. The wait would be 10 mins for an elevator with huge lines. Most of the time we ended up taking the stairs. Being on the 4th floor, it wasn't such a big deal for us using the stairs. But for guests on the high floors or one that aren't able to use the stairs, it was a problem.
