Riu Palace Peninsula All Inclusive

The staff were the best part of the hotel. Super friendly and accommodating. Food was great too. Wasn't a huge fan of the Japanese restaurant and didn't go to the Mexican one but the rest were great. Only downside was the beach. It's super choppy all the time. Wasn't too fun to be in

We had to move out after one night, although we planned a 3-day stay.

Food was excellent, hotel was clean and service was great.

We stayed at the Riu Peninsula as a family of 6 (Had my parents accompanying us) and the experience was wonderful. Service was perfect and the staff adequate to attend every need of ours. The resort has enough options in food and drinks so people can plan a longer vacation of 5 to 7 days and not get bored with an all inclusive package. Our only two points that we would like to suggest are: the specialty restaurants - Las tamale, Japanese and Venicia were not really special. the food was still the same as that being served outside at Las Olas. Sushi's were thin and it was clear that the fish that was served in the morning was being used to create these later in the evening. Now I am not saying that it wasn't good, but for having a specialty restaurant - it can be made better. Secondly this hotel does not have too many things for kids. They might have one hour a day activity but other than than - ZILCH. I have heard that the other Riu is more kids friendly. Do note that if your kids are a bit older, the beach and the 4 pools will suffice - but for younger kids there is an issue. Overall 4.5 Stars.

The overall stay was good. Booked for a king bed. Front desk told me two double beds. Asked for a king at the desk, clerk said there was one available. It was not. it was two double beds, (tipped front desk clerk). This is definitely a pool resort. Short beach to walk and not deep. However, plenty of chairs on the beach. Staff was not overly friendly. However, if asked, the staff did accommodate for the most part. Food was great. Variety of dinners was excellent and of good taste.

Someone entered into our room while we weren't there and stole my professional work camera out of my pocketbook. Found it extremely strange that ALL of our clothes, shoes, luggage, was moved around but didn't realized until a day later that my camera was missing. I called the front desk as soon as i realized it was missing, they basically told me it'll take "24 hrs for investigation" then switched it to "48hrs" then told me that is was basically impossible for someone to steal it basically calling me a liar. Told me that i'm the 1 out of 1,000s of people that this happens to but then later on told me that they can't do anything about it because "imagine how many people can say they are missing stuff " it ruined my last 2 days in cancun. I was extremely upset that someone could have done that and on top of that, that the hotel management wasn't helping me in anyway just making things worst.

My family enjoyed our time at Riu, beautiful clean grounds, friendly and accomodating staff. We loved the fact that you didn't have to make reservations for all restaurants. If in Cacun again will definitely consider Riu.

It was our second stay at this hotel and we had a great time. Rooms clean and comfortable. Drinks and food good. Selection of beers and cocktails great. Beach is very nice and usually calm so easy to enter for those who have mobility issues or not good swimmers. Sea bit rough this time for us but that was due to the hurricanes off florida. Friendly staff.

I selected this all-inclusive resort because of all the wonderful reviews. I'm glad I did! Just like all of the reviews, the rooms, the staff service, the restaurants, the amenities, ALL TOP NOTCH! My husband kept thanking me for selecting this resort. We will definitely be back!

I had a good time and enjoyed myself. The quality of the food at the Buffet wasn't good enough. Overall was fantastic.

The hotel has great facilities, and excellent food and beverages quality. The service is not that good though. The activities and staff to entertain during the day are not good.

Everything from room, hotel premises to food and drinks was excellent. The only room for improvement is the evening entertainment and pools closing at 7pm. Great vacation spot!

Great beachfronts and pools. Needs room upgrade.

Very friendly staff, always willing to do anything that we needed. Room accommodations were great for us.

Overall we all had a pleasant stay at the Riu Palace Peninsula. This was our first time in Cancun - LOVED the beach and the Caribbean Sea. Stayed in two superior ocean view rooms on the 11th floor - spectacular views from the balcony. Restaurants were not crowded - the food was very good and the service was friendly, pleasant, and very professional. There were two areas of improvement perhaps; 1) Pool bar - it gets dirtier fast. 2) Body language during the checking in (perhaps what we had seen was an isolated incidence and it could be a subjective thing to gauge a persons' body language - but no smile, serious face, rushing the basic instructions did not "feel" welcoming). Overall - great hotel, great service, with lots of very hard working people!

I will come back and stay here again beautiful room view friendly staff delicious buffet wonderful experience

Loved the staffs in all the restaurants. They were all fun loving. We had a special anniversary and they surprised us with a cake and song. View of the resort property was fabulous. Pool area was clean and water sparkling

I had a great time. I didn't have to worry about being late for breakfast because they had food all day. The food was good every day.

Hands-on management who work with helpful and friendly staff. The property is impeccably clean, the food is abundant and delicious and the entertainment is continuous and interactive.

Nice hotel. Great service. Awesome time. Wish the shows started earlier...
