Beautiful beach, excellent food, friendly staff!
Rooms were clean and updated. Shower was awesome. Layout was spacious and didn't feel overly crowded.
It was very tropical and clean. My daughter loved it.
We love this resort! Have been there 3 times. Wonderful for families. Staff is great, pristine pools, beautiful beach, above average food and lots of variety for food options. Safe, clean and awesome location. We think one of the best beaches available on the hotel strip. We will be back!
Room was too humid
The property was nice, easy to get around. Nice beach, wonderful staff!
I really enjoyed my stay in Melia Cozumel Hotel! Incredible service and food! We had a very good room with a lot of space and it was cleaned every day professionally. For the food, everyday we had a variety of choices; that also applies for the drinks. Overall, the employees were very respectful, professional and gave an incredible service! The beach was also cleaned every morning! It is truly an ''all inclusive'' hotel! Everything was perfect (except for the weather on December)!!! Will definitely recommend and hopefully come back!
The property was very clean. The add for the Melia indicated elevators which the building they put us in did not. This was one of the features that drew us to this resort as my wife has bad knees. They had us on the top floor . Upon arrival to our room the safe in the room was in the locked position. It took them over an hour to resolve. Rooms were extremely plain vs others we have stayed in Mexico. They provide 4 bottles of water in the room daily. I requested 8 as there were only about 10 oz bottles. inclusive resorts we have stayed Mexico. They actually told us extra would cost more money fortunately the maid provide 8. Food selection was below average. I never realized how many ways can you prepare chicken. You would think that there would have been a better selection of seafood. Overall an extremely basic resort. I have stayed at many resorts in Mexico for the same of not lower budget for less money.
We had a lovely stay. The property is well maintained and staff is very friendly. It is away from the cruise ships and allows you to enjoy the island. We like the food and the buffet had a station for Mexican food every meal.
While the staff are amazing - every single person there have a hard working ethic and great staff! The hotel is old - very outdated!!! The beach first few days was not what I saw on the photos of the hotel but it had to do with tons of seed weed and a storm. As for the food it was very boring unless you ate at the Fish House. The bed was terrible - had trouble resting and wish there would have been better rooms!
Overall a very nice property. Beach was in good shape, a fair amount of seaweed but there’s no escaping that anywhere. Plenty of thatched umbrellas for shade, which is super important to me. Food was pretty good, on the spicy/exotic side for my (more bland) taste. Staff seemed nice and friendly. The pools were good. A fairly quiet resort, but also pretty solid for relaxation in its own way. I wouldn’t hesitate to go there again. We were there in October in a fairly low season, and I suspect that was a big plus. I could see it being a little different if it was more crowded. Also seemed like a lot of local clientele, so I didn’t seem like just a hotel full of Americans.
The staff is amazing. Everyone goes out of their way to accommodate your every need. We have been to the Melia at least 5 times and the only downside is the food. The resort and staff itself are wonderful but the food is awful. Every year the food seems to get worse. Last year we thought it was bad due to covid but it was worse this year. Not much selection on the buffet just basically alternating different meat with the same sauce at each meal. The restaurants that you need to have reservations for are no better. The buffet is very inconvenient as they basically use large sauté pans to hold the items with lids on them so you cannot see what is in them and on most occasions they were not labeled. Then you had to remove the lid and set it down on top of another pot and lid to get your food. This was the first year they served this way and we did not think it was efficient at all. Overall we love this property BUT we are getting tired of the food. Really wish they would upgrade it.
It was a 3 star hotel, so do not expect much, easy Chech In, the employees are very helpful and kind! The food could be better, The Level didn't have any cold bottle beer (from 6 to 8pm), beach was ok I was disappoint because walking to the next hotel have a sea dam the water is completed different blue and clear w/ beautiful fishes swimming around us!
Check in was easy, we felt welcome. Our room smelled like mold and the AC was lacking. The time of year meant mosquitoes were out in force so bring bug spray. They did get a de-humidifier in our room as soon as we mentioned it. The AC never really got rectified. However, the employees are ALL friendly and helpful. I never had to wait for a drink and the food is really really good. The pool was nice and the bartenders were excellent. The beach was nice, the seaweed was minimal.
I like the access to the beach. The adult pool was very deep to swim. The food and drink selection was great..
Took my older kids and parents for a family vacation. From the moment we arrived we were Impressed. We stayed in the Level which is worth the extra money in my opinion. The grounds were kept well. Everything was clean.Everyone was kind and attentive. If I had to offer one suggestion to the resort.. make the reservation process for the two restaurants and the Bali beds a little easier. Maybe offer that on the Meliá app. We had a wonderful time and will be back!
Great place to stay. Clean and friendly staff. Drinks were well made and the beach is awesome.
The hotel is older but very well maintained and clean. The ocean was good for the first days but turned brown due to a discharge by the nearby estuary. Then a tremendous amount of seaweed. These things are natural, just had to comment as they did have a negative effect. The 'level' thing was confusion. Since we were 'white' we were entitled to some up-grades which we apparently missed out on .Anyway we had a good vacation at the Melia. It is definitely a 4 star rating.
