When I read through the reviews before our trip, I was a little nervous but once we got there we had the best time. The Adult pool was very cold so we spent most of our time at the other pool with the kids slide and once we got in the water it was fine. Great sun exposure back there, lots of kid activities, tons of pool beds, and the cabanas were great to use. The staff were so friendly and great. We had so much fun. The lobby bar was a lot of fun at night time, and there was entertainment every night. The breakfast, lunch, and dinner buffet was some of the best we've had at a resort in Cozmel. The bread was to die for, fresh fruit, the breakfast was amazing, and dinners were really good. The rooms were just fine for the little time we actually spent in the rooms. The beds could be a little softer but it was okay, we slept good. Good water pressure in the shower. The sand on the beach was so soft, the water is brown there but if you walk down to the next resort its clear blue and really pretty to snorkle in. The ride to town was short and only cost us $10 a cab ride which was fine. All in all, we had a wonderful time and can't wait to come back.

Staff is wonderful!! The room was clean. A/c great. Pool clean. Fun activities: volleyball, soccer, mini golf, Zumba, drum healing yoga!! So much to do if you have kids. Very peaceful. Drinks lovely. Dining options for all. We choose to level up for a better experience. Then you can reserve cabanas by sea or pool. We love this Meliá! Been coming for many years. Very safe.

The property and staff were great! Lots of options for on-resort family activities, great access to the ocean and good food. All of the staff were tremendous - we’d like to give a specific shout out to Enrique at the recreation office and Bardo in Food services. Stayed one night and couldn’t leave fast enough. The main buffet food quality was awful and the roof of the dining facility was being held together by a giant tarp that was blowing in 20mph winds. The hotel buildings were all covered in dirt and grime, they looked like they hadn’t been scrubbed and painted / refreshed in a long time. The bathroom was tiny and flooded during showers. The in-room safe was broken when we arrived. The mirror was covered in mold. Overall, this hotel is suffering from decay and lack of upkeep. We’re very disappointed at the cost as well as the experience because we’d stayed at a sister resort in Playa two years ago and had a wonderful time. Do not recommend going! Stay elsewhere

Best part was the staff, the go above and beyond to accommodate you. Location was great, beach area and pool area were good. Food needed a better variety and there was no entertainment provided like other resort. Unless you paid for the dinner theater. Rooms are outdated in need of repairs. Resort is more suitable for people traveling with children.
