The resort was clean and friendly!

Great all inclusive resort. Would stay again!

The staff was very nice in the cafeterias style buffet.

The hotel and staff were great. Seemed too busy. Sometimes we had to wait 30 minutes to be seated at the restaurant. Food was great at Albatros. Enjoyed nightly activities. Cons. Beach is very small, not enough seating. Very noisy and lack of peace. 4-5 different people constantly walking around selling things. Lots of boats and jetskis zooming by all day, and constant smell of exhaust, especially from the large Isla Mujeres water taxi. If quality beach is important for your vacation, don’t stay at this hotel. More cons: First morning they shut off our water for 10 minutes. That seemed like and eternity, when 4 people had to, you know… AC system didn’t work at all in our room, but we managed with a fan and open balcony door at all times. We still had a good time, but will not be staying at Occidental again.

Everything was good

We had a great time and excellent staff and service. There was only a few things that could be improved. First, the check in/check out process is AWFUL!! Very slow, disorganized and lengthy. Secondly, the rooms need upgrading. Lastly, the water smells very strongly of sulfur. Overall a great stay would recommend for a budget friendly getaway.

Well maintained

The food was horrible, the property is in really bad shape. When we got there the room smelled like mold, the drawers weren’t working, the refrigerator was not working, there was a leak in the ceiling. I complained that my kids were asthmatic and they switch me to another room that the AC were not working when I complain they ignored me. They looked at as differently like we were bothering them, good luck trying to book a reservation they are always full and they advertise 3 restaurants and only one was open at a time because they claimed it was low season in August. We just let them keep our money and switch hotel. The most horrible experience definitely will not be going back. They didn’t want to give us any refund.

Mixed drinks were awful!! The quality was poor and service was awful!

Polo and the whole staff at the resort were freakin' awesome. Loved how they keep their guests entertained.

Love it. Personnel were wonderful. The bartenders by the beach bar were so professional, Alfredo.

We were a family of 8, loved the customer service in the hotel, bar, and dining. I liked the resort overall but it was a bit inconvenient since there was only 1 pool 4.5 ft deep which was too deep for my 4 yr old.
