We loved our room , including our own private balcony with an amazing ocean view .. food was pretty good , and staff were very attentive to your needs , beach and pool were very relaxing , we also enjoyed the night time live entertainment .. drinks we're ok , every time my husband try to order me a mimosa they always seemed to be out of champagne :/ .. but overall we had a great time and would definitely consider coming back .
Enjoyed every minute of our stay.. Great restaurants, super staff, central location..Who could ask for more ? Nightly entertainment was great, we were greated each night by the entertainment director nightly at dinner and invited to watch the show :) Price was excellent, can't find the words to describe how we were treated :) Thinking of going again with children this time so they too can experience the paradise we did.. Thank you all at the Occidental Costa Cancun.
Me and a friend (both 21 years old) went there over spring break. We both enjoyed our stay, and all the staff is very helpful and nice. Our room was clean and the overall areas also. Food was good, a lot of options for every meal and was fresh. The hotel has a booking area where they help you book trips, we decided to book a daytrip last minute and we got great help with all the booking and calls.
it was the best hotel we stayed in it was so close to ever thing and we had alot of fun
Good experience, good food, great location. Very friendly staff. Only bad thing is that upon arrival they had their "share times" crew sales people trying to get you to sign over other resort said
Nice hotel with excellent staff I would book again
Great rooms, very clean, very friendly staff, we loved our stay here. Great customer service, food was amazing if you like to enjoy authentic Mexican food, small but beautiful beach. We will come back soon!
Had a wonderful experience with the staff and loved the overall atmosphere of the hotel. The food was great as well, and the service was spectacular!
Overall hotel is clean and friendly staff. Food was above average and good variety. The shows at night were great. The only downside is the strip of beach clean and white sand but very small and located in the path of lots of boat activity. First time in Mexico and I loved beyond impressed with Cancun!!!!!!!
Es a nice hotel , but you have to reservation for dinner from 7 to 2 they wore full for reservation so we can't eat in the restaurant . We have to go to the buffet. That was stupid when you have a lot of people in a hotel .
The staff was friendly, the food was good and the drinks were strong. The rooms were tidy but the wall are thin. It's so loud at night, you can hear everything and everyone, sleeping was difficult with the noise. We had paid to upgrade to an oceanfront room. We were giving one but had only a doorwall that opened to a non existent balcony. We tried to change this and staff said they were full, and clearly were not. The beach is very small and is right where it connects to the bay. It's very busy with boats and excursions.
Celebrated my sons 14th bday and they all made sure to remember us by name and bring out candles and a treat at dinner n bfast it is my 3rd trip to Cancun n this is a true gem
There was only one pool. The service was great with all the employees that worked there. The food was great. The restaurants where clean and rooms very clean except for a very bad smell to walk in the door of the room. Kind of smelled like sewer. But once in the room you couldn't smell that anymore. The ocean is so nice and warm and could swim all day. there is a bar close to the ocean and a ton of chairs to lay on and sun tan. Over all it was a nice small place. Nothing like the Grand Riviera down by Playa del Carman but the price is a way cheaper to.
It was a excellent vacation.Rooms are very clean ,staf is friendly and many options of food. I would highly recommend and go back for sure.Pepe Hernendez was our waiter.Numbero uno. Thanks for making our stay even better.
The hotel itself is very nice and clean, but please be sure to put your belongings away in the safe if you do decide to come here. We left our wallet out, as an oversight, on the dresser and when we came back at the end of the day to the hotel all the cash was gone. Fortunately, we hadn't had much cash in the wallet, but it was very disappointing to have this happen. I won't be staying at this hotel ever again, nor will recommend it to friends and family members due to this disheartening event.
From coming to going, our experience was fantastic at this top notch hotel! I was a good blend of facilities, staff, location, activities, transportation and entertainment, There was really no reason to leave the resort. There was always someone on duty to assist you in whatever you needed. Drinks were plentiful and not shorted on alcohol. Service was fantastic and accurate with a smile. You can practice your Spanish and they won't make fun of you! But generally everyone spoke English. Extremely professional staff! Food was fabulous! Preferred eating at the buffet than at the signature restaurants. Rooms were quiet even though there was always a lot going on at the hotel. Entertainment committee kept everyone busy with a good choice of activities for everyone. The shows at night were fabulous! We enjoyed the Arabian and the M J shows the most. Resort was always clean and extremely safe. If there were any issues at all they were taken care of immediately. Alberto, our waiter at the Albatross restaurant was the best. The management staff and the hostesses there as well were great too! Remembered us and what we ordered always. The best, hardest working hotel staff that we have encountered ever. The pool and the beach were always clean. Many activities outside of the hotel close by within walking distance. Twenty-four hour pharmacy within two blocks, a short walk, from the hotel. If you are looking to just relax but not be bored, as we were, this is a great choice!
I had good time with my little family and I love the service and staff they very nice friendly and very clean place.
If you are looking for a retreat without needing to search for your toddler in a crowded environment this place is perfect. Smaller, very family oriented and the food is incredibly good. People are great and friendly. The water sports on site is a bit limited due to the location and size of its beach but the pool is great. The concierge was very accommodating for activities outside the hotels. This hotel does not face the ocean, which during our stay we enjoyed since it was incredibly windy and the waves were small in comparison. There were shows every night and things quiet down around 10pm with the last bar closing at midnight. The one thing that needs mentioned is the poor WIFI. We did go ahead and purchase WIFI but it was limited to one device and it barely had a signal. A international plan from your carrier is a cheaper route than WIFI purchased considering how much I used the carrier rather than WIFI.
Our stay at this hotel was awesome! We stayed in the jacuzzi suite and I COMPLETELY, COMPLETELY recommend spending the few extra bucks! A few things... staff AMAZING! Everyone top notch! Food was above average for this type of resort. I was impressed with Asian selection but too salty. Buffet is always above average. Watch out for the 2nd floor SNACK BAR they call it... stuff gets left out and bread is hard. You could get sick. BUT, the fruit is fresh and there is even a serve yourself mini-bar! My biggest complaint however, is the very small, roped off beach in front. Sure, it is fine if you just want to get wet... but you cannot swim (and I swim) in the ocean. There are boats (look on a map for location) that come in and out of the canal constantly and it is NOISY! Unfortunately, we will not be back because of this... I come to the ocean to swim in it... not to wade with boats.
