Upon arrival my room was ready which was excellent after a 5 hour drive. The staff was friendly and accommodating offering suggestions for our trip to Salem, MA. I would highly recommend staying at this hotel. It was a short drive to all of the wonderful spots in Salem.

We stayed at this Marriott over the Thanksgiving holiday and unfortunately I became very ill with a stomach flu. The staff at the Marriott really went above and beyond to make me as comfortable in a very bad situation. They made me soup broth when it wasn't on the menu and brought me soup to my room at no charge at all. These little things really made the difference and the hotel was under no obligation to give me this special treatment but they did. I would like to especially thanks Sharon at the front bar for making me special Ginger drinks to help with my nausea and to mr. Richards the restaurant manager for going out of his way to make me just chicken soup broth when the restaurant does not serve it.

The room was perfect! Clean, comfy, but overpriced. Hotel staff lacked friendliness, not very helpful. The view from the room was a rooftop, but we weren't there for the view. Overall, it was ok but I expect more at $300 a night.

Staff was excellent. The hotel was a very nice experience.

My daughter attends a college in Beverly, MA. I wanted to find a hotel not too far away from her school for us to spend a mother and daughter birthday weekend. Location and the pool were the selling factors for me. How better to decompress from her college studies in a pool and hot tube. We were able to check-in early into our room. No complaints. Our room was clean, plenty of hot water. A week later I returned for another stay and once again, I was granted early check-in, the room was clean, and the staff was very helpful.

I have stayed there twice during a trying time for our family. The staff was absolutely wonderful and kind! They were attentive and accommodating when changes needed to be made. I look forward to staying there again when I visit with my family. MHL

our stay was very pleasant. we had multiple family members staying and they put all of us near each other. my mother asked for an extra blanket and they had it here in minutes.

Went for a 4 day stay and they put us on the first floor. No refrigerator. Got that fixed and the next day the construction began. 3rd day they turned the second floor into college dorms and started moving in students. They did move use to the top floor but their idea of "Concierge" and mine aren't the same. Nice people, below average place.

we had a nice stay. room was nice. enjoyed the pool and hot tub. the breakfast buffet was delicious.

Wonderful experience Restaurant and staff were very accomadating

The hotel staff was friendly and helpful. The room was clean and comfortable. Breakfast was delicious, with plenty of choices. Took several taxis to and from hotel to Salem. Tri-City taxi over charged by a lot. I let the hotel know as to not to call that company for service again. It was a great trip and will be back!

I have stayed at Marriott;'s with some frequency, and found this one pretty typical, but two things jarred me for a "4 star" hotel. First, there were no racks to hang towels in the bathroom. There was a small hook on the back of the door which was barely adequate to hold the bath towels (which were getting pretty threadbare, by the way) and totally inadequate to allow them to dry. I am willing to re-use bath towels for a day or so in the interest of conservations, but they need to be able to dry. There was no rack for the hand towels. Second, they were charging for morning coffee in the lobby. Better and lesser chains manage to provide this minimal amenity without going broke sometimes along with a whole breakfast. It just seems like gouging, after paying out the healthy fee for a night's stay. Just sayin'.

Everything was clean and check in was easy. Beds were not comfortable for any of us though. We asked for an extra towel and it never came, too.

The staff was friendly and the room was very clean.

Clean, Comfortable & Courteous staff. We were just passing through for a night. Close to Salem, Gloucester & Rockport. great location; easy to find off the main highways.

Clean, pleasant, quiet and comfortable for our weekend stay

I attended a conference held at this hotel and found all of the staff extremely friendly and helpful. The room was very comfortable and quiet. The beds are especially comfortable. The only problem that I had was that My "Mac" computer did not work with the system in the room.

Hotel staff was extremely courteous. We had requested 2 queen beds and they only had one king bed and a pull out single sleeper couch available when we checked in. The pool was under renovations (which was not noted on the website), so was not available for use, they did offer use of pools at other sites, but this was to inconvenient for us, making the children extremely disappointed.

1 Day business trip; room shower a little basic for type of hotel

In Boston for the weekend of 4/09-4/10, with the next day scheduled for Salem & Marblehead sightseeing, so a friend and I decided to stay somewhere in between, and this Peabody location seem to fit the bill. Overall, our stay was OK. Room was clean..no problem there..(mattress was too soft for me, though..seemed a little worn out..and why does this seem to be so hit & miss for a hotel??..ugh) but being it was a nice, but seasonable cool day in early April..when we first walked in our room..it seemed a little too warm, as it turns out the thermostat was broken, and despite our best efforts we could not get the room cooler than high 70s, so we decided to open the window(which had no screen) and being that this room also faced the vent stacks from the kitchen roof, there was the noise from all the fans on the roof..oh well. Frankly, by the time we noticed all of this,(checked in around 8PM)we were so tired from walking around all day in Boston..it just seemed easier to open the window and put in earplugs than to call the front desk and have a maintenance tech in our room for the next two hours.. The other thing we noticed, is that even with earplugs in, we still could hear noise through our room vent ducts(either the elevator or stuff going on in the kitchen?) half the night. So, needless to say, kind of a rough night sleep wise!.. When I explained this the next morning, after having been asked how our stay was, the front desk staff offered to give us a 2 for one breakfast, for the buffet, so I thought that was fair. The food was very good and the staff was attentive and professional.
