Very friendly and helpful staff. But restaurant was not open for lunch

The city was completely booked up in the Financial District so I stayed here in the Wharf area. It was surprisingly easy to get to downtown and delightful to be close to the water for a walk in the morning. The staff was very helpful and check-in and check out was very easy.

Walked to Fisherman's Wharf, Pier 39, Lombard Street, Coit Tower, and Ghirardelli Square! There's a Denny's inside their second building. Staff is super friendly! The AC is pretty loud at first, then you get used to it. Stayed 3 nights with my children. ***I almost didn't stay there because of some people's bad reviews. However, I decided to book my stay because I knew the location was good. My kids and I visited 5 countries in Europe in June, and some of their 3 and 4 star hotels did not compare to Holiday Inn!*** Parking is $50 per night.

My family stayed in this hotel for two nights. The hotel was OK to stay. On the check- out morning, my husband and I packed up two luggages and went ahead to load up to our car while LEAVING MY PURSE IN THE ROOM. It was only about five minutes. We then finished the checkout. My friend came to the hotel to take us to do the last leg of sightseeing. At noon time, we stopped by a local natural foods for lunch. I noticed something was different with my wallet. My two credit cards and one debit card were missing. All hundred dollar and twenty dollar bills were gone, only six dollars were left. I recalled on the checkout morning I took out some money to tip the room services, My wallet was fine at that time. I scrambled to call the card companies and my bank. More than $12,000 of merchandise were already charged. We cut short of our activities in the afternoon, and went back to the hotel to alert the hotel management of what happened to us. The on-duty manager did not appear to be surprised, he only assured us that he will do internal investigation and let us know the outcome. He said that he will call us. It had been more than five days since we brought the matter to his attention, no calls or anything. I will never recommend this hotel.

after waiting 30 minutes past check in time, had to walk 2 blocks to my room. dumpster and bus stop right outside window. asked to change rooms and they said 'you booked with orbitz that's what you get' room was down the street at Taylor and Beach street, totally different building see map.

Queen beds are too small, smaller than in other hotels. We were directed to check-in at the main address of the hotel in our reservation but the room was in another building, so we had to go out in the street to get another building, just weird and unpleasant by midnight after a 6 hours flight.

The overall experience was good for our family. Located within walking distance to many tourist attractions and public transportation. Rooms were clean etc. my only complaint was that at about 9pm we started smelling cigar smoke. There were very loud men's voices ( laughing shouting) and the smoke was coming under the adjoining door. I called downstairs and the person at desk said they wouldn't send security to. Check. They didn't and it continued on for about 3 hours. I attempted to call front desk multiple times but no one picked up.

When I got there I was told that there was no reservation under my name even though I had make the reservation 1.5months prior to my stay! Finally after a phone call to orbitz and speaking to the front desk agent bc the manager was too busy in the back I got a room. When I got to the room the bathroom smelled like urine! I stayed for 6 nights and the smell never went away...disgusting! The bed sheets were never changed all housekeeping did was make the bed! Disappointed but the staff was friendly overall.

Good hotel in walking distance of pier 39, the aquarium, the exploratorium, Alcatraz, and ghiradelli chocolate. Lots of good restaurants nearby. Rooms are nice. Staff was very nice and accommodating. Definitely a good place to stay to be at fishermans wharf and all it has to offer.

The hotel is conveniently located to many attractions and mass transit. The rooms are big, clean, but a bit dated.

Close to a lot of fun places. Very comfortable bed, very clean. I highly recommend this hotel :)

This hotel was nice, and close to foshermans wharf. We have stayed in 4 hotels in fishermans whatf in the last 4 years and this was the most over priced. Just beware that if you want to park at their facility it's 50 a night, if you plan to eat here, we couldn't get breakfast for under 70. No continental breakfast. The other hotels we have stayed at had comparable rooms and either free/discounted parking OR free breakfast and coffee. Their included toiletries were nice, the water they have in the lobby is delicious and has fruit in the container giving it some flavor. If you stay here park in the anchorage parking garage, it says it's 40 a night no in and out privelages, but when we went to leave we let the guy know we were hotel guests at holiday inn and he gave us a nice discount, but most of the parking is comparable in price, between 35-50 a night.

The city was completely booked up in the Financial District so I stayed here in the Wharf area. It was surprisingly easy to get to downtown and delightful to be close to the water for a walk in the morning. The staff was very helpful and check-in and check out was very easy.

location, location, location!

room was down the street at taylor and beach

good place to stay
