Good location and view. Helpful staff. Room did not cool well.

''Twas a fun place - the top of the mark makes the night

Loved my stay, great views (at least I had one of alcatraz (partial since buildings are blocking it from the floor I was on). Quiet, a/c central which was nice. Great mini-bar. Office Desk with plugins for multiple phone, laptop/other items. bed was extremely comfortable. Couldn't be happier. The top of the mark is Okay, I think it needs to be updated. The bar is extremely small, i.e. about 8 seats. Very weird since the place is huge. The views were very nice but not 360 views. more like one side has views, then other side has views. The bar is in the back so it blocks any sort of 180 view. At any rate, I do recommend, possibly not at the high rates they can charge at times.

Very nice hotel. Room was very clean, not big, but nice. My room on the 9th floor had a good view. Hotel was old school, and quiet which i enjoy. Location was great for me. Bed was very comfortable. Would stay again, and recommended it.

For a hotel of this cost, the guest amenities were very limited, on par with a much lesser brand. At night, the only place to have a drink is the Top of the Mark, which operated as a nightclub open to the public, requiring a thirty minute wait. For breakfast, there is only one option, a very expensive and poor quality menu. In the afternoon, you can buy a drink at the Top, but the snacks were poorly selected choices, we chose not to order. We spend more time next door at the Fairmount Hotel, similar price, and what a grand hotel should be.

Wonderful staff in a beautiful building. Food is at a premium, in both locations. It would be nice to have a few more options for breakfast, although the breakfast buffet is very good. There is a club across California street that gets very rowdy 11-2 on weekends. We will keep that in mind next stay!

We had a wonderful stay at the Intercontinental hotel, the rooms were clean and very comfortable with great views of the city. We had drinks at the restaurant on the top floor, views were amazing and the music was also quite enjoyable. We also had the buffet breakfast which was also quite nice.

The hotel is very pretty but needs updates. The room we stayed in was small and smelled like sweat and old man cologne and body odor. It took over 24 hours of keeping windows open and ac running to clear that smell. Otherwise nice hotel

Very old, not what I expected from an Intercontinental hotel. Food was fair, rooms were old, bed was old, bathroom was old. Get the picture! Paid extra, the front counter recommended, dont know why, was like the cheaper rooms!!

Beautiful hotel on Nob Hill. We had a wonderful time. The rooms were clean and comfortable. The staff was pleasant. Would definitely return there.

Convenient location but lots of hills near hotel. Staff were superb.

We stay at the Mark Hopkins once a year. The hotel is AMAZING! So much history! The staff is impeccable! They treat EVERY guest as if they are the most important guest in the hotel!

The mark is my favorite Hotel in San Francisco. I love staying in your beautifully decorated comfortable rooms.

Met my expectations for old-style grace & elegance! Breakfast buffet just average, small bathrooms

Tired rooms, long elevator waits, fantastic brunch, wonderful views.

I love stay close to the beach Hotel is good staff is very nice I like all restaurants I will recommend to my friends and family

Hotel is located on the top of the hill adjacent to nice structures. Specially the Grace Cathedral is just stone throw away. Depending on the room you will choose you will be able to see the magnificent San Francisco.Lobby of the hotel maintained the elite ambiance . The room that I've stayed is small but very comfortable. Bathrobe and slipper are added which hardly you can find now on some hotels for austerity measures.

Great location and very friendly staff. Excellent breakfast buffet too. However there is wear and tear very evident throughout the hotel (wallpaper peeling in places, bathroom showing wear and tear) as it clearly has not been renovated in some time. Still, great value and a great location

Not happy with the staff at the front desk, rude and felt like was being processed. Better service from a Super 8 in Oklahoma.

We love the feel of a Grand Hotel and the Mark Hopkins delivers every time. The rooms are comfortable and elegant and the location on top of Nob Hill makes it easy to get around San Francisco.
