Beautiful hotel in a central location but just a bit chillier than other parts of city because it is up on the hill and is kind of windy. After being there for the few days there I was actually very pleased with location and didn't mind the wind BUT the weather was beautiful when there so if any colder it may have been a tad more unpleasant up on the hill. I have stayed at few Fairmonts now and I have to say their beds and pillows are not that comfortable. My back always hurts because the bed is kind of hard with feather pillows (not down) so it feels like you are sleeping on bricks. Other than that lovely place.

Excellent hotel and staff. We ordered some food for room service, and it was average at best. They would be the only complaint.

Great service and staff. The price was pretty good for a sale day booking. The Fairmont is an old grand dame and shows a little of her age in the public rooms but our room was spacious with great view and lots of amenities. You’ll get your exercise walking up and down those hills to get there!

For the amount of money paid, I would expect a much different level of service. Will not stay here again.

Fairmont's gracious staff supported every part of our stay -- from checking in, valet, through the beautiful breakfast and superb bed.

Celebrated my birthday weekend in San Francisco. The person that checked me was super nice! He gave me a corner suite with beautiful views of San Francisco.

The Fairmont was top notch. Beautiful grounds, excellent staff, comfortable beds, luxurious linens, gorgeous upgraded bay view, beautiful bathroom, state of the art gym and awesome location. The history and grand elegance of our hotel made our trip to San Francisco unforgettable. The Powell Hyde cable car line dropped us right out front and we could walk down hill either way to North Beach, the Wharf snd Pier 39 and Union Square. The area of Nob Hill was beautiful clean and safe. We would stay here again and again and tell everyone we know to as well. Could not have been happier with our stay!

We had a beautiful corner room overlooking the roof garden and a The SF skyline. We were on the 5th floor. Higher would have made for a better view and I wouldn’t suggest lower. I was glad we were in the Tower instead of the main building as it looked much older going by the windows but I could be wrong. Very elegant hotel.

This is an excellent historic hotel located in the center of San Francisco. The hotel is pricey when it comes to room rates and food. The views are excellent from almost all of the rooms. The rooms are spacious and clean. I highly recommend staying in a high floor.

Beautiful iconic San Francisco hotel. Friendly helpful staff.

I have always wanted to stay at this Hotel especially when I was residing in SF because of its history, but it was unaffordable so when Orbitz had a linited sale, I grabbed the opportunity and booked for my business trip. Checking in took only 10 minutes and the staff was very efficient and incredibly nice. I had an upgraded room with sweeping views of the Coit Tower. I rated this hotel 5 stars since it really deserves it however, I do have a comment --- the hotel comes with a price! From the Food to Parking!

Hotel staff went out of their way to may our stay wonderful. One thing to maybe improve on is available car service to surrounding areas at more convenient times.

Great location, comfortable bed, nice shower, and amazing bay view!

Amazing view of the bay from my room. Hotel offered me a room with two beds inst ad of just one queen upon check-in

Booked the exterior view room, but got a room with small circle fixed window, and the view was the roof of another building, very disappointed to got a such room as a Orbitz gold member. Dusty wardrobe and no vanity kit provided.

The AC is not completely isolated for each room. The extra prices are high. All the rest is good. The location is good.

Stayed overnight for a birthday celebration. The staff were wonderful, the amenities were great. Have a wonderful time.

It is a beautiful hotel but for the bed was way to hard I could not sleep.
