The Inn is just charming, located in historical building in safe part of San Francisco. The staff is very friendly and helpful. We enjoyed daily wine and cheese reception with other travelers. It was nice to unwind after day of sightseeing of this wonderful city. Special kudos to the houskeeping. Our room and all common areas were spotless clean.
Im sure This inn would be better fit in a quaint town somewhere in the English country side. But the fact that its sits on the somewhat busy bush street of bustling San Francisco is a refreshing breath of hospitality in the big city. The delicious breakfast, cozy fireplace,and happy hour only add to the warmth of this hotel. Not to mention the amazing and welcoming staff. I immediately felt at home in my room with the perfectly stocked mini fridge and spacious bed inviting me in after a long and tiring day of travel. And all of this in addition to the amazing location, delicious restaurants for all styles and palates adorning the surrounding streets. And amazing shopping just a short uber, cab, or walk away. I can only say good things about this hotel, bursting with personality, and life, i say the white swan inn is a must stay!

Hotel is great with a vintage charm not found at most "vintage" or "boutique" hotels. Old school elevator with the pull gate was dope. Staff is very friendly and accommodating; although, not the most organized upon our arrival. Waited at the front desk for 40 minutes because they thought they gave our room keys to a different party that they could not find. They said they would make it up to us for the wait, but never did. We had a lot of luggage, and they offered to help, which was appreciated. What was not appreciated was when they scraped my vintage louis vuitton duffle against the locking mechanism of the manual gate of the elevator. Room was charming. Gas fireplace was great and kept the room very warm. The nibbles that accompany the wine for wine hour should be improved, the pepper jack cheese was roughly cut with a serrated knife and was not appealing. Overall it was mostly nice experience.

It was thoroughly charming and we would definitely stay there again! The extra perks of breakfast and afternoon wine were fabulous.
Great relaxed bed and breakfast hotel. No loud noises couldn't hear a thing in my room my entire 5 night stay. Staff was excellent the amenities and price could not be beat. Also the location is right on downtown sf next to many transit stations.
Everything was great except for the fact that there's no AC in the rooms. It would also be a bit better if the omelet in the morning was plain
The White Swan Inn was a wonderful find in the Nob Hill area of SF! For several years, I’ve met friends and we have stayed at the Golden Gate Hotel, which is a lovely B&B hotel. This year it was unfortunately booked when we wanted to stay, so I looked on Orbitz and found White Swan Inn—what a lovely B&B hotel and experience! The check-in staff were friendly and accommodating. The hotel is centrally located, and it was an easy walk to Union Square, Chinatown, and Grace Cathedral. The old-fashioned elevator was delightful, the room was perfect for our needs (fit 3 easily with a King and pull-out sofa bed). We even had a fireplace in the room! The breakfast in the mornings was delicious and gave lots of choices. Coffee and tea were available throughout the day/evening, and there was even a jar of homemade cookies to greet us each afternoon. The decor was cute with the photos of swans throughout and the ‘60’s style in the breakfast alcove. What a wonderful experience—definitely worth repeating!
We loved out stay at the White Swan! The food was very good and the staff was wonderful.
A bit concerned when I entered the hotel. Plastic over stairs was a bit disconcerting. Friendly staff. Had trouble figuring out how to lite fireplace, no instructions in room but staff was helpful. TV controller batteries were at end of life and it took about 45 minutes to get it rectified. The staff is extremely friendly and our bed was comfortable and peaceful. Nice breakfast but a few gluten-free additions would be nice because my husband could have yougurt andfruit and that was about it. I would return for the Housman Lin, he was phenomenal and a ball of sunshine! Best part of the hotel.
