The bedding was not to clean. The bed made me cough so was not to clean. The room smelled bad. Some of the towels looked dirty.
Most of the area surrounding the Inn was accessible by walking. There are some areas you should avoid. But overall safe in the neighborhood that the Inn was in, It was nice that there was a park to walk to with the family just a short distance. The views of the Golden Gate Bridge from our room window was phenomenal. It made the stay epic. Parking was tight but it still was easy to maneuver into. The people we encountered at check in and check out were super nice for the late hour and early hour. The room was cozy and met all the basic needs to have a comfortable stay. We had no problems with the room we were in. I would bring the family again to this Inn. Hopefully sooner than later. Thanks Coventry Motor Inn for a nice weekend with the family.
It was affordable, clean and conveniently located. I am glad that I read the review to ask for a blanket, tho. However the heater worked fine.
The hotel is near a lot of sites either by walking or public transport. Walking is a good option. The immediate neighborhood had lots of varied restaurants and shops. Free parking is a big plus if you have a car. I would recommend they invest in microwaves and Our room faced the street which was difficult for me, earplugs helped but didn't eliminate all the car noise.
This hotel is a good value for the location. I did notice our room was a little run down looking (peeling wall paper) and there were no extra blankets. SF can be chilly, and since the thermostat didn't work, we were cold. Otherwise OK.
Ay night you can hear a lot of noise coming for the street and my children arrive with bedbug bites
I had a very nice stay. The room was very clean and comfortable. The location is ideal. Lots of restaurants within easy walking distance. Short walk to the bus stop at Chestnut & Webster to take the #30 bus to Columbus and Bay and a short walk to Fisherman's Wharf. There is a Safeway supermarket 0.5 mile from the hotel. Tony at the front desk is THE MAN! Very friendly and helpful.
Great location north shore of San Francisco. Nearby to GG Bridge, parks, and much more. Clean, simple, well-staffed, basic amenities, good parking.
Great location. Great staff. The decor could use some updating, but the rooms are clean. The bed is very comfortable (I think it's Tempurpedic). Overall, I had a great experience.
Bottom line - this is a no frills motel that is in a great location, clean, and good value. Friendly staff. The selling point is FREE PARKING! Also, the ability to walk to the Marina green, Chrissy fields, Marina, Cow Hollow, Polk street, Russian Hill, Pacific Heights etc.. Good spot if using public transportation. We used to stay here or in sister properties over a decade ago when we lived in the suburbs and wanted to spend a weekend in the city. We've since moved out of state. We see it has not changed since then. It's still very clean, but can definitely use updates. (The curtains in our room were torn.) Strongly recommend that the property add mini-refrigerators and microwaves. Food is very expensive in SF and would be helpful to be able to save leftovers or food from nearby Safeway. In summary, great place to stay for location/parking and if you are going to be out and about a lot. Not a place you want to book if you plan on spending a lot of time in the room.
