The hotel staff are very friendly and helpful. The location is great, and the room is clean and looks very nice. However, the neighboring street is extremely noisy at night. I heard many sirens during the night and barely got any sleep.

We had a great experience here. Not updated but didn’t matter to us. Clean and comfy. Close to a lot. Very friendly staff. This we will definitely stay again. Free parking too!!

We reserved two rooms for a total of 8 adults, just for a couple of nights to handle our arrival in San Francisco and give us a day before heading off to Tahoe. This place worked out beautifully, our check-in manager was Tony and he was very accommodating by already having planned to give us adjoining rooms facing Lombard. Having a parking space, market across the street, and bus stops within a block or two, bars and restaurants within 2 blocks, felt very safe in this area -- this worked out perfectly. Beds, bath & room were updated and very nice & clean. I'd highly recommend this hotel and would certainly stay again.

Conveniently located. Close to Chestnut Street, Fisherman's Wharf, Pier 39, etc. Traveling around the city using a Muni Pass was a snap - able to get around the city easily navigating the busses and cable cars.

Simple hotel, no amenities really. But friendly people and clean room. Located on the public transit route.

Very helpful staffeta from the office to service staff. Office helped us locate where things were on a map they provided.

After reading all the strong reviews, I decided to book this hotel for a conference across town. While it was pretty far from the Moscone center, there were frequent, convenient, cheap buses so it worked fine. The hotel was much quieter than I expected. My room was large and comfortable. The hotel desk always had a bowl of fresh fruit which I took full advantage of. The hotel is close to many tourist attractions; I enjoyed walking through the Presidio for some exercise in the evenings. Overall, this was a wonderful hotel for the price; a real bargain. I would have given 5 stars if not for a bad smell from one of the chairs in the room. The smell wasn't a problem as long as I didn't forget and try to sit on the chair. The question asking whether I'd recommend the hotel to a friend was hard to answer; it would depend on the friend and the type of trip they were planning. But, there was no way to submit the review without saying 'yes' or 'no.'

Friendly staff- great location- close to wharf and palace of fine arts.

We loved staying here. Everything was amazing until our last night. Some people staying on our floor were in and out of their rooms 50-60 times between the hours of 2 am and 4 am. But that was our only complaint. It was a great location. Everything sight seeing wise was within a 20 minute drive. We could walk most places and there was plenty of great places to dine nearby.

I decided on the Coventry Motor Inn due to its location and price. I was on a solos visit with plans to bike around San Fransisco with an end of day location down hill from most areas. Lombard street appeared to be an ideal location and I was correct. I biked across the Golden Gate to Sausilito, around Fishermans warf, visited Coit Tower and downtown San Fransisco. The hotel is also convenient to #15 stop of the Big Bus tour daily route. The staff was pleasant during my stay

Friendly staff, clean, free parking, close to many attractions and restaurants. Would definitely stay here again.

This is a really clean, quiet hotel in a great area of SF. It's a short walk to nice shopping, restaurants, and the Presidio. It's also very near to bus lines if you have no car, and has nice covered FREEparking if you have a car. The only downside is that it's on a busy street, but it's San Francisco - all the streets are busy! I would definitely stay here again. Oh, and the bed is terrific!

My room is next to the Lombard and is very noisy. The air condition/ heating unit is very noisy too.

Will be our go to hotel in San Francisco. Great location. Returning soon. And again great staff.

Loved that is was on Lombard ST WE could walk to a lot of places or short rides in an uber Staff was very nice and helpful

It's an old hotel and looks it, but that's to be expected in this area. Beds are memory foam, which I hate, but surprisingly comfortable never-the-less. Nice walk to Fisherman's Wharf (Pier 39, etc); it's on Lombard and close to the famous part; the Presidio is also nearby (along with a million other things.) Lots of good easy food with no or minimal waits - at least during the week. Honestly a bit horrified when I saw the hotel from the street, but again, the rooms are surprisingly quiet and comfortable.

Good location, safe neighborhood. We walked down to the peers, maybe a mile About a $10 dollar cab ride back. Saw no signs of any insects.
