Nice place Great Rooms i love it close to Everywhere .. Very Friendly

So European in feel and just plain lovely. I would recommend a courtyard view as the street can be loud.

Very nice check in and friendly- adorable room - I would stay here again and it was close to so much

Incredibly charming 1939 motel. Dozens of mature bougainvilla and fuschia line the courtyard. Spanish-style architecture is accented by small murals. Room was smallish in keeping with the construction of the era, but tidy. Ours had a view of the courtyard and a small but complete kitchen. We kept windows open the entire time we were there, but didn't pick up much street noise except in the bathroom (motel fronts Lombard St). Each room gets a first-come first served carport. A large 1-2 star chain motel down the block costs as much without the charm -- a real no-brainer to stay at the Marina. Dozens of restaurants in the neighborhood. We'll go again.

I would give this property two stars - one for the comfort of the beds and another for the shower being nice and hot. Most of the staff was rude and parking was a nightmare. The garages were small and it was difficult to park a large car. There were some open spaces alongside of the garages (between garage and office) and when big trucks parked in front of the office it was difficult to get your car through to the garages. Some staff members allowed cars to park there, but when we tried parking our car there we were told to move. The location of the motel was good and the room was cute (just small). Only complaints are some of the staff members being extremely rude and the parking situation.

Entire Place has history! Charming as soon as you enter parking area. It is like you escaped from the city while being very well located.

This place was disappointing. Leftover stale donuts in our room from the person before not cleaned up. Even though they say you can lock your car in the garage and they provide you a lock, our garage didn’t have a way to lock it. Hot/cold reversed in the shower so it gets hot on the labeled cold side. No shower curtain or door. Old school wall heater that works on a timer that made loud noises in the middle of the night. Worst part is we paid extra for a courtyard facing room and got street facing instead with all the noise. Would not recommend this place.

Well-maintained vintage property. Rooms are clean and cozy. Depending on taste, many will find them charming. Street facing rooms will be noisy. Interior rooms peaceful.

Customer service: Woman who runs the hotel was extremely rude during check in. Due to delays in my travel plans that I could not control, I showed up 15 minutes after she had closed the front desk office. She was in no way accommodating and even lacked basic manners. The next day when I checked out she continued to have an attitude with me. Hotel: Cute, quaint, clean acommodations. Limited amount of parking garage spots. Quality of the hotel was not worth the horrendous customer service experience.

We were 2 women first time in San Fransisco. Concerned about location, but it was safe and comfortable. We did stay in a room in the courtyard. Appreciated free parking. Several eating spots close by. Only bus line close by. To get around had to use Uber. Parking downtown San Fransisco is near impossible.

We had a wonderful stay, got to walk to the beach and restaurants, hotel was pleasant, staff was wonderful, very considerate. Will definitely stay again.
