We stayed here for our first visit to San Francisco and were very pleased with our choice! The hotel lobby is really funky with an awesome fireplace and was a great spot for a drink after a day exploring. The hotel is literally a 1 minute walk from Union Square, so a great location and we got Ubers to places further afield. Our room was fine - it was small, but modern and well furnished. I would probably pay more and book a slightly larger room next time for a bit more space. Would definitely recommend this hotel - we would stay here again!
Stayed for 3 nights at the start of our road trip from SF to LA. Hotel is great. Very cool and has some amazing features. The games room downstairs was a hit with our teenage travellers but sadly of the 3 days we stayed it was closed for 2 of the days for private functions. Just off Union Square so good location and staff were polite and very helpful. Breakfast in Ramblers was excellent and staff were very accommodating at providing 'off menu' Rooms were designed well but on a down side had very little storage or space for 3 travellers in one room. I had discussed the size with staff before arrival and was assured it would be big enough so was slightly disappointed when it was cramped. Would recommend this hotel but would look at different room options if staying again.
I visited a friend in San Francisco and the hotel was just a amazing. It just opened about a year ago. Everything is new and very clean. I had the pleasure of meeting the manager Steven, who took personally care of all my requests. The staff is very friendly and helpful. For sure I will stay here the next time I'm in San Francisco again!
I have been to San Fransisco many times over the years for work and always stay around Union square and have been disappointed with the likes of the Hilton, Marriott and the bigger names. Most I've experienced have been either a) crap b) expensive or c) both. I saw Zeppelin on Mr and Mrs Smith so decided it must be of a good quality and was very impressed. It's a bit noisy but I'm not bothered by street noise and the price and location were right so worth it in my books. Stylish rooms with a rock and roll flair. Great bar and restaurant too. Would visit again in the future.
Perfect location two blocks from union square. Wonderful and helpful staff. If you stay here, great cafe up the block for breakfast. Also easy to access the Muni and Bart Powell station a few blocks away as well as all the shopping around Union Square. Really great restaurant on site and cool game area and bar area. Nice unique rooms and mine was really quiet.
Being Slightly more expensive than their closer competitors I expected a little more from this hotel. That said it was fantastically located just a few minutes walk from Union Square, had a young vibe and offered all it promised to. The rooms are small, but this is usual for this city and they contained everything you needed (with the exception of a shower cap) One thing I noticed was the distinct lack of wardrobe space to hang your clothes, and a lack of drawers or shelving. So, if you're a party of 2 with clothes for more than a couple of days as we discovered you'll end up living out of your case! The hotel bar was very expensive and the bar maid quite rude, un helpful and arrogant so we didn't use it again after our first experience as there were plenty of better, friendlier locations to grab a wine nearby. We didn't eat at the restaurants as we like to venture out, so try Honey Honey back up Post Street for breakfast. That said, we had a fun stay here and prior to our stay enjoyed good communication with the staff via email who recommended and made reservations for a local restaurant.
Stayed here as part of a wedding party, booked and paid in January for June arrival, 4 king superior rooms total cost $5000. Only 2 of the rooms were near each other, different spec and one room was upgraded....but sadly not the bride and groom. No effort or acknowledgement that this was a wedding party, I told reception how disappointed I was and that night they left a note and half a bottle of wine in the bride and groom room.....HALF A BOTTLE!! Had the chance to impress and show the customer service we expected and despite a prompt and nudge blew it. Save your money on chic boutique, stay where you are valued.
My my partner and I stayed at this hotel, followed by my brother and his family. We had a great stay. The hotel, obviously quite new, was perfect. It does attract a younger market, being in our 20's was great, it had a fun vibe. The rooms were tastefully decorated and rather spacious. There was a bar onsite (limited hours) as well as a restaurant attached. The games room was fantastic and a great way to end a day of adventure. Would highly recommend this hotel to young couples and families.
Stayed for three nights last week. Having flown in from Vegas staying at the Bellagio there is a really stark contrast. Room sizes are small and bathrooms tiny. Little by way of storage. One of our rooms was occupied by another guest but a new room was sorted and a bottle of wine thrown in for the inconvenience (pleasant touch). Used the games room down stairs (great fun),playing pool and basketball. Very funky decor with a welcoming lounge with a blazing fireplace and supercool modern art. Great hot chocolates served whilst warming up from the cool SF air (had no idea that it hardly ever rises above 18 degrees ! Great location for sightseeing with a young and friendly team. Prices in SF for hotel accommodation is generally expensive (standard room is same price as a Suite in Vegas). We had a really good time and if you like an intimate atmosphere the Zeppelin won't disappoint.
Cool interior design, modern & hip. Great location, easy access to downtown spots. Comfortable rooms with good beds! This is important. Friendly staff. Little cafe bar off the lobby to grab coffee, drinks & snacks. Comfortable lounge area by the entrance. I don't remember if there's an attached restaurant b/c my group ate outside the hotel during our time there. I would stay here again.
