This is my favorite hotel in San Fran, its modern with a great vibe. The rooms are very clean, there is free wi-fi and valet parking was around $57/ night. I recommend doing self parking if you are not using your car during your stay. There is a garage right around the corner and its only $25/night.
This is the third hotel I've stayed at in 2017, and it has been my favorite. Not quite five stars, but close. It has a great location on lower Knob Hill, and it wasn't too difficult to get in and out of using the valet. The hotel has hip vibe with a neat craft cocktail bar and I would recommend the restaurant for a convenient but good dinner. The staff was friendly and helpful. The rooms had great boutique furnishings, and I really liked the comfortable chair in the room. The nespresso machine in the room was a really great amenity and I loved having it. They also had complimentary bottled water which I always appreciate. The bathroom was nice for the small space and the bed was comfortable. The only negative things I would have to say is that the exercise facility was pretty small with limited equipment. Also, I know the building is old, but the room also had an old smell too it with a bit of mildew. It wasn't horrible and I got used to it, and I'm not sure if it was just my room.
Great atmosphere, decor, amenities, location and service. Perfect stay for a family with a small child. Loved everything!! Game room was fun, bed was super comfy, rooms were very clean and decorated great. Just overall experience was perfect!
What more could you ask for! We had a deluxe room- huge bed and so comfy I never wanted to get up and explore the amazing city of San Fran! Reception were friendly & helpful! The room was so super stylish! In fact, I've googled some of the bedroom items I want for my house! I loved the desk chair - they're so cool (but nearly a 1000 USD- and I live in the U.K. so we'd to add shipping too!) The shower was good- the water not quite as powerful as I'd like and had at other hotels , but this really didn't affect the stay! The toiletries were HUGE no more dealing with tiny little bottles of shampoo and trying to make it last your whole stay- you have full size ones to use! The rooms are super stylish, very similar to a Malmaison Hotel (which we have here in the UK if you are looking for a comparison!) There is also a bar / restaurant next door - which was delicious! The manageress lady was grumpy and unhelpful, but the rest of the staff were a delight and it served wonderful food- I wasn't going to let a grumpy hostess such as her ruin my breakfast! The TV again was MASSIVE and digital so you could catch Netflix on there and had a ton of channels to choose from! The hotel really did exceed my expectations and I cannot wait to return! Thank you!
Stayed here for three nights and don't have any complaints. It's a very trendy, cool looking hotel. Very friendly and helpful staff. Room was great with a huge comfy bed, comp mineral water, good lighting etc.
This has been, by far, our best hotel stay in the US, and possibly the best anywhere. The design is quite intriguing -- a modern look, with a touch of 1960's cultural references like local band names printed in a psychedelic font on bathroom walls, posters from the era, inviting you to a Grateful Dead concert, posted on walls, etc. Whoever came up with the concept and designed it -- kudos. But that is not all. This place has the high standards of top 5* hotels, without the anonymity of giant, 25-floor monsters. The staff, both at the reception and housekeeping, were smiling, courteous and very helpful. For instance, when asked to replace pillows with a feather-free version (allergy) they sorted this out on the spot. We stayed there for a week (and then came back for just one night, as it was so good), and all the staff we met did a great job, and Bryanna was the most professional of them all. The rooms were very clean, and neat, the wi-fi worked on the first try and was decent. The atmosphere was lovely. We were there mixing business and pleasure, and can recommend this place for either of these. If we get a chance to visit SF again, this will definitely be a place where we'll stay.
This place was over-the-top. I especially liked the game room (pool, skeeball, hoops, shuffleboard, etc.) downstairs. And the eclectic rooms were far superior to the cookie cutter ones at your normal Hilton and Marriotts. The best, though, was the night front desk, Dennis. He made our stay as memorable as it could be, bending over backwards to help us out in any way imaginable. He was a concierge of the highest level. And the rest of the staff was wonderful and accommodating as well. When I come to San Francisco again, I'm always staying at the Zeppelin.
Amazing hotel I went with my best friend and our 2 boys (ages 11 & 10) the front desk upgraded our room upon arrival. The hotel itself is adorable and fun! There was an entire play room for the kids including basketball, ski ball, pool and so much more. We all felt really comfy and safe, the room itself was very clean and we love the decor!! We will definitely be staying here when visiting SF whether we come with the kiddos or not. :) Thank you Hotel Zeppelin for your hospitality!
What can I say? Words won't convince you of staying here, you just gotta go! The decor is amazing but doesn't hold a candle to the staff's warmth, attentiveness and overall excellent service. It was great. My wheelchair bound 93 year young grandmother was impressed with the valet services and assistance she was given.
Pro's: We found this to be a great base to explore SF, walking distance to Union Square and Chinatown Gate, in a good location for shoppers and close to Powell Street Station for adventures further afield. The hotel is beautifully decorated in a very modern style and the communal areas are comfy and relaxed and the employees are all very helpful. The bed was comfy, the room was clean and the TV was HUGE (although we didn't spend much time watching it)! Cons: SF is generally expensive and this hotel is no exception, it was both the most expensive and the smallest room we stayed in - enough room for a queen bed, wardrobe and not a lot else. The bathroom had a somewhat ill-fitting sliding door (not ideal for privacy - even for a couple!). The room had a safe but it wasn't secured to anything at all, could just be lifted out of the cupboard. Other: Breakfast was not included but was served in the place next door, not too expensive and was nice.
