When I tried to check in, the front desk had no record of my reservation and said that they had not received the payment I made to Hotels.com. Also, the music in the lobby bar was so loud, it was almost impossible to hear what the people at the front desk were saying...it was crazy. I showed the manager my confirmation from Hotels.com, but he said the W never received that information. He told me to call Hotels.com to deal with it, but there was no way I could make a phone call given how loud the music was playing. I was standing there with my luggage and getting nowhere. Eventually, they charged me for a new room and told me I would have get hotels.com to issue a refund. I had no idea what rate they were charging, but after a half hour getting no where, I took the room. The manager was very rude and told me he only uses the hotel website (of course, he works there!) and that it was Hotel.com's fault that the W did not have my reservation. Very frustrating, while music was blasting so conversation was almost impossible. I won't be returning to the W anytime soon.

Very comfortable room. Conveniently located and in a nice neighborhood. Walking distance to China town. Reasonably priced. Nice coffee maker in room. My only complaint would be that the shower floor became slippery when wet and soapy
