Stayed at the Worldmark SF for a week. Superlative location. Small rooms and limited amenities, but SF is not a place you see from your room. The Worldmark location is well within walking distance to most of the city’s interesting sights, but for those that don’t enjoy walking you can see the entire town via Uber for next to nothing. All in all, a pleasant stay, but be apprised: there is no air conditioning. Major issue during the occasional hot spells during the summer.
In such a lively city, this timeshare hotel does a good job of getting you checked-in, valet parking available, and bellhop to take care of luggage to room- elevator as well as stairs~ concierge desk willing and able to help with taxis, reservations, directions, and the like..noise is keep to a minimum, but one can still hear sirens and all other city noises..small kitchenette with microwave, refrig....a brisk walk down the hill a few blocks to Taylor for a venue at Golden Gate Theater is good...not far from Union Square~ I would stay again
Lovely small friendly hotel. Staff were great - doorman was above and beyond. Lovely and central for everything you want to go and see. China town just around the corner. Cable cars handy and supermarket an easy walk from the hotel. Recommend
We are a family of 3 and stayed in the 1 bedroom apartment which had a seperate living room with a fold out couch for our son. Room was clean and all staff were lovely. It is close to some restaurants and a shopping area. Tram & bus stops as well as the shops are a very easy walk away. Suited our needs really well as we were out most days sightseeing and came in & out as we needed to. The bathroom & kitchenette are small but we managed just fine. Really enjoyed our stay.
Fab location. On a trip from Australia. Stayed to celebrate our wedding anniversary. Best thing about it is it is 3 min walk to union square. Great city. Great food. Thanks for having us. We'll be back. Went to a great Mexican restaurant. Walling distance, I think called trueusno. Cheesecake factory for dessert.
Perfect size for a couple. Very clean, neat and cosy. Basic amenities in the room but it did lack a kettle (had coffee making machine) and toaster. Very comfortable bed. Walking distance to all popular attractions. All of the staff were very polite, courteous and helpful.
This is a very good facility but parking is not easy.. Probably best not to bring a car into the city unless absolutely necessary. Be aware the front desk staff will do their very best to sign you up for an educational session with Worldmark ...it is in fact a sales pitch.
Stayed in this hotel many, many years ago. Glad to see it is still there, doing business. Felt very secure and safe in this hotel and area. A block away from the gateway into Chinatown. On the edge of downtown, shopping.
We've stayed here before and this time we got a room directly across from the elevator but you wouldn't know it because it was quiet. There is an extra fee/charge if you want wi-fi in your room but if you have a phone, turn on your wifi hotspot and it works just fine. The bathroom gets very steamy if you leave the windows closed because this older style hotel does not have an indoor fan. A/C was noisey but it worked OK for cooling down the room. The LOCATION is excellent for our purposes (close to BART) and walking distance to everything else.
I was very surprise to see how this hotel was well kept being that it is over 100 years old and the people are so helpful. The rooms are so adorable and enough room to enjoy your stay. Everything was clean and comfortable. Not to mention EVERYTHING is so close to walk too. Staff and cleaning crew are EXCELLENT! There are a lot of restaurants around that you can get food delivered to the room as well. I felt as if I was back in my home town of New York City. This is a Timeshare location so if your not a owner they might try to get you to buy but they are not pushy at all. The money you would spent renting a car or cabbing it you might as well stay in a safe and clean Hotel like this one. We will be back to this location.
