The room is tiny but fine. It's only a bit bigger than the bed, with the sink in the main room, no closet and a tiny bathroom. The bed isn't very comfortable. The staff is nice but not particularly helpful. On checking out, the only elevator was not working. I had to make two trips down the stairs from the 7th floor with my luggage. The staff only stared at me - no apology, no offer to help. My conference hotel was sold out and is directly across the street. When they provided a list of other nearby hotels, I was surprised to see that this wasn't on the list because of it's proximity. I see why now.

It only has ONE elevator that is super slow. Dirty hotel. Although it is located at city center and in tye middle of the action but there are other hotels as well that is located downtown and within the city center. I ended up only stayinh obe night of the 4 nights that I booked.

wish we had gotten an option for bay window instead of flat one. great location.

Noise carries all through hallway. Difficult to sleep if you are a light sleeper. Cleaning staff start early and you can hear them.

I just loved this Hotel...Old world charm with a modern twist. .the staff was very professional, both, the room and shared bath were very clean...it was just a wonderful experience...I would DEFINITELY stay there again. Also, it's in the heart of the shopping district, less than two minutes away from buses, cable cars and BART. THUMBS UP TO THE MOSSER!!!

Nothing fancy - rooms are small with awkard floor plans . . but location is perfect and you can't beat the price for a clean safe place in SOMA area of SF. If you want a fancy hotel, the Marriot is accross the street or the W is a short walk - Mossar is a clean, basic hotel in a prime location for a reasonable price.

The hotel staff gives a good service and the has a great location. On the downside, although the you can tell room furniture has been renewed and has a nice modern/minimalist theme the bathroom is too small.

Room was extremely small...difficult to figure out how to charge devices, etc

Good place Resturants not far away Unfortunately not every day doing the room But other things we're good

Unspoiled 1913 style. Did you know that guests shared bath and toilet facilities? Or pay more and have your own.

The hotel is bare bones but comfortable, and the staff is very courteous. A good budget option in downtown SF.

enjoy staying at the mosser because of it's convenience - bart, downtown, reasonable rates, etc.

Great place to stay! Affordable. Friendly staff. Tiny bathrooms. Clean. Double pane windows keep it quiet.

Small rooms attractively furnished in a very desirable location at a very good price. My room (a single) had no bath or toilet; no problem. Those facilities were nearby in the halls, and very clean. The amenities included very fast WiFi, a 24 hour laundry room on site and free basic cable and HBO. There was complimentary coffee and muffins available in the hotel's restaurant but I did not try them. The bed was a very comfortable queen size, the room was old but well maintained. I felt quite secure inside the hotel (access to lobby is either by use of key card or having 24-hour doorman open the door). Located around the corner from the ENORMOUS Westfield Mall, half a block from the Metreon shopping center and at the edge of the Union Sq. district, the hotel is surrounded by shopping, live theaters (The Warfield, Golden Gate, Curran and Orpheum are comfortable walking distance), dining and multiplex movie theaters. Best option for parking is at the city operated parking garage a half-block away (be prepared, like all parking in San Francisco the city makes a lot of money--figure around $40/day). The hotel staff was hospitable, effective and informed. Big plus. BIG PLUS... I was very pleased with the Mosser and would be happy to stay there in the future.

My experience un SF was awesome. The hotel is well located. I found it a little bit too expensive but for three nights is ok!

This is close to shopping, transportation and activities.

The location of hotel is very convenient. The cleanliness of the room is highly appreciable.

Very good. It was quiet, safe, and very clean. I got more than I was expecting for that type of hotel.

Very old hotel. The tolerable, if perhaps a bit annoying: Trash in windows near weird shafts near shared toilets. Mostly unhealthy snacks in single vending machine in basement. The uncomfortable: no headboard on bed. Very low shower head was at my chest height. What it is: Small rooms in an old hotel which is maintained well, but no real improvements, like sub standard pillows and beds and bedding. It is clean. The good: Very nice staff - I always feel welcome here. Good night desk lady, and bellman, too. Close to Moscone.

The Negatives - the rooms are very very small, basically a twin/full bed and a small bathroom with a stand up shower. The sink to brush your teeth is in the room and not the bathroom. There was no where to put your clothes so they stayed in the luggage the whole time. There was no air conditioning but there was a window to open, but then you hear all the street noise all night (there was a ceiling fan). If it was cold outside, there is an old hot water heater to turn on. No refrigerator and no place to sit things on. Just a very small room. The Positive - the hotel was close to alot of restaurants so the location was great. The room was very clean. Its pretty much a place to hang your hat and go out to enjoy the city which is where you want to be!
