InterContinental San Francisco

4.5 out of 5.0

Recent guest reviews

1st room the closet could not be opened. Seems the closets were likely an afterthought. Room large enough probably could have used an armoire instead. Beds very comfortable, but really seems the carpets are pretty dirty and should be cleaned better. You could tell from wearing socks or even the slippers. And, there seemed to be a dirty smell from them and it made the room less appealing. Other than carpets rooms are nice and spacious. Loved the location as just far enough from subway and cable car, shopping and plenty of restaurants in the area too. Restaurant very expensive and breakfast buffet not worth the price. I didn't bother to try lunch or dinner due to that. room service pretty good, but pizza that I expected to be gourmet at the price was not. The crust was a pre-made kind of thing.

We loved it there! Very quiet and relaxing and at the same time an easy walk to Union Square.

We had a great experience at the Intercontinental. It was our first time traveling with our baby and the staff could not have been more fantastic. The person checking us in took time to acknowledge our baby, which he loved & ate up all of the attention. Upon checking out, we were told that there were no extra charges & were able to quickly be on our way.

Great staff. Great bed. Great amenities. I would absolutely stay here again for business or pleasure.

Good location. Good staff. Love the bed and it's very cozy.

Hotel was nice and clean, staff was friendly. Mattress hadn't been changed/flipped in a long while, there were wonderful valleys on each side of the bed where everyone seems to sleep. Other than that it was good.

great hotel very friendly staff excellent location very close to market street. Will definitely stay here again.

Expensive but you get what you pay for.... I would stay here again. Great views of the bay.

The hotel was nice, staff was very friendly, bed was a little hard. It's close to Union Square.

I've been wanting to stay at this hotel ever since I moved to San Francisco almost 10 years ago and I was a little underwhelmed. The rooms are just okay and nothing special considering this is a 4.5 star hotel.

The room was awesome but the air vents and headboard was dusty. No big deal but bad allergies made for a sneezy night. Room service served the BEST cheeseburger. The burger arrived piping hot and cooked to order. Yummo

View was beautiful , location was very convenient , just one day stay that I feel ok with it, room was not that luxury that I was expect for and paid for.

Stayed for a short visit and everything was great. Staff did a great job.

Totally enjoyed our stay. Staff was great. Will be back.

The Intercontinental is a green hotel with contemporary decor and provides all necessary amenities. We only stayed here for one night, but we will definitely return. The hotel staff, including the front desk, provided exceptional service and were very accommodating to our requests. The rooms include a desk that can be used to work from.

The hotel was great and met our expectations on short notice. Super accommodating, allowed our two small dogs, great friendly service. Spa, bar, and restaurant were great!

The Bed was comfy and room was clean. Nice view to the bay and staff was pleasant.

Great location, near downtown, staff is super friendly, room is clean!

This place was beautiful, centrally located, and the customer service was outstanding. They took great care of us! I felt like a celebrity!

Hotel is wonderful, breakfast was excellent. Kids enjoyed the pool, and concierge even helped me staple packets of work materials before my meeting. Great shopping and Bart stop within a couple blocks, convenient to everything.
