Management/front desk staff are AMAZING!!!!!!!!! Hotel was very conveniently located, even just steps from Chinatown. Decor is up to date and super interesting! Room was comfortable. Would recommend to others and will definitely stay again!!!!!

A cute boutique hotel. The staff was friendly and the location is fantastic for so many of SF's tourist destinations. The walls were thin, so we could hear people outside yelling in the wee hours.

I booked a room, was charged for it, and when I showed up to the hotel I was told I didn't have a place to stay the night. There was a lobby full of impatient travelers waiting for rooms
The hotel is in a great location for the Union Square area and Chinatown, easy walking to everything. The property itself is a little dated, and could use some renovation. There is a $33/night amenities fee, which is a bit steep considering there really aren't any special amenities.
Everything at Triton is in excellent condition for SF Union square neighborhood. I find that bed is pretty used/run down, and the room door closing is hard/noisy (either springs worn out or need tweaking), and there is some play after the door is closed. It needs to be stay shut without any play.
its quirky in a good way! I love the location. Close to some of my favorite restaurants (Cafe Claude, Le Central), and entrance to Chinatown .. and into North Beach. .very convenient. The street is relatively quiet at night. I just wish they had in-room coffee maker, but they do put it out in the lobby starting at 6 am.
The good: in union square. close to restaurants and shops. literally across street from chinatown. Quiet at night. friendly staff The bad: smell in the hallways (at least on the 4th floor). Rooms a bit small (but if you're not spending that much time there, who cares?). Resort fee sometimes not included in price on booking sites.
I liked the lobby/reception decor. Perhaps not unique, but really pleasant. The afternoon wine was good and the morning coffee w/ soy milk was great. The room was slightly small, but that's perhaps because the bed was HUGE! We had a slight snafu w/ our check in, but other than that, smooth sailing. Also, right by the gate to Chinatown and close to Union Square if you like Chinese. And, shopping.
The location is good; the hotel itself is quiet. While the decor is a tad upper-end chainish, it's still nice. The coffee is good as is the wine. The majority of the staff are absolutely lovely.
